Go, Army. Rangers lead the way...
Item 1) Rapone's father has expressed sadness and disappointment at his disloyal fuck son's disgusting behavior. So there'll be no Bergdahl Mommy and Daddy Team pushing for leniency in the matter.
Item 2) The Dem. congressweasel who appointed Disloyal Fuck to West Point issued a statement of unmitigated and unequivocal condemnation:
The former Democratic congressman who nominated communist 2nd Lt. Spenser Rapone to West Point is now disavowing Rapone’s recent comments, which range from attacks on Secretary of Defense James Mattis to calls for political violence.Item 3) Everything I told you yesterday is confirmed, and far worse on further investigation:
Former Democratic Rep. Jason Altmire of Pennsylvania told The Daily Caller News Foundation that Rapone’s long history of extremist tweets, which include calling Mattis an “evil, vile f****,” is shocking, disappointing and abhorrent.
“Several years ago, I met Spenser Rapone when he was a high school student seeking an appointment to West Point,” Altmire said. “At the time, he was an outstanding, well-rounded student who came from a good family. I have not been in touch with him in the years since the appointment, and I was shocked and extremely disappointed in the recent reports of his indefensible actions.”
“The behavior of 2nd Lieutenant Rapone is symbolic of a larger problem in our society — the epidemic of incivility in our public discourse,” Altmire continued. “While I strongly support the rights of American citizens to express their opinions, the actions of 2nd Lieutenant Rapone are abhorrent and appear to be in clear violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, in addition to being inconsistent with the values of the United States Military Academy. I have no doubt that the U.S. Army will take appropriate action.”
Communist West Point graduate 2nd. Lt. Spenser Rapone called Secretary of Defense James Mattis the most “evil, vile f***” in the entire Trump administration.
After reports emerged tying Rapone to the Twitter account @punkproletarian on Monday, West Point issued a statement distancing itself from Rapone’s tweets, which included calling for political violence against the right, referring to Trump as a fascist, and openly promoting communism while in uniform. West Point also noted that Rapone’s chain of command had opened an investigation.
But one of the tweets which has so far escaped attention is Rapone denigrating Mattis in the most vulgar of terms.
In a tweet dated June 8, 2017, Rapone tweeted at a podcaster, stating: “Was so pumped for you to go in on Mattis on the latest ep. Definitely the most vile, evil fuck in the current administration.”
Not only that, but Rapone also attacked Vice President Mike Pence in a tweet from August: “Holy s*** what world do these people live in? “Mediocre and conservative?” Pence is a fucking medieval, cold-blooded killer.”
So he tagged POTUS, VP, and SecDef, the top three guys in every military member's chain of command, as they learn in about five minutes in boot camp.
All of the above noted his chain of command has initiated an investigation. I expect he'll be relieved, arrested, and confined within 48 hours, if not by close-of-business today.
So, if you're keeping score at home, that's three separate specifications of contemptuous statements (Art. 88), three for politicking in uniform contrary to regulations (Art. 92), one of conspiring with other service members to politic while in uniform (Art. 81), seven counts of conduct unbecoming (Art. 133), and seven more of acts contrary to good order and discipline (Art. 134). And they can still hang a specification of mutiny on him, which would be the cherry on the cake, and well within legal bounds (Art. 94).
The Army's not going to court-martial him, they're going to crucify him.
He's going to be demoted to E-1, confined at hard labor until his five-year service obligation expires, forfeit all pay and allowances, and in all probability be stripped of his diploma, degree, class ring, and ideally hung with a dishonorable discharge, and a happily non-expugnable federal felony rap sheet for life.
Which, considering he deserves to be flogged around the Army, then strung up, drawn and quartered, is actually quite an exercise in mercy.
When you're innocent, you want military justice.
When you're guilty, you want civilian justice.
When you're guilty in the military, you're so far from screwed you can't see it from where you are.
Put him in a tumbrel cart, and let the games begin.
