Fair Dinkum, I'd Say

 h/t  Gun Free Zone

Blood will prove itself.

(Ozschwitz Konzentrationslager) Teenagers from remote NT community arrested after escape from Howard Springs COVID concentration camp

Good on ya, mates. And f**k the Ozschwitz fascist authorities, and the joey they rode into town on.

I'm wondering how long this goes on before decent 'Strines start slitting the right throats.

Two things to always remember:

1) Never give up your guns.

2) If they come for you anyways, kill all they send.

What Is It With These People?

 h/t Borepatch

The White House, yesterday and everyday...

Gropey Dopey cutting off COVID antibody therapy to Southern states.

"Fuck them and their rights. People will knuckle under to me, or die, even if I have to kill them myself." - Pretender-In-Chief Biden

What is it with DemoCommunists, that they're unhappy unless they're killing babies by the scythe-load, administering gulags and Holodomors, stacking up skulls from the Killing Fields, running Great Leaps Forward (Into The Mass Graves), or clot-shotting people with mRNA frankensauce by the metric buttload, while cutting off non-mRNA therapies that actually work?

Squeeze That Jello, Uncle

h/t WRSA

This would be bad: The Digital Gulag.

RTWT.

"A good tactic is one your people enjoy." - Saul Alinsky, Rules For Radicals

This would be fun:

Imagine how upsetting it might be in certain quarters if any 50M persons all created a functional (or even half-assed) AR lower from an 80% job, and affixed the serial number and markings of another one they already owned, so they had a "turn-in" all ready for Collection Day. What if  ¡gasp! all their completed lowers all had the same serial number affixed?

IBM: meet Cloward-Piven. Best wishes untangling that Gordian knot. Over and over again.

And you'd better hope they don't start doing the same thing with license plates, or System gonna Fall Down Go Boom.

BTW: "That's a nice camera pole ya got there. It'd be a shame if a Big Truck ran into it, and every other one, and you couldn't make enough replacements even if you shifted General Motors and GE to nothing but camera production 24/7. God forbid someone makes a fake work crew, turns off your water main at 3AM, and then concretes the curbside box and shuts your downlink sites or fusion center down for a week at a time. You might could have a fire on premises right afterwards too. Wouldn't that be a flaming mess?"

Bonus points if folks making bogus "turn-ins" had happened to strip key bits and bobs, parts and sub-assemblies off first, for future use as spares.

Ditto for Glock and M1911 frames.

Of course, that would be doubleplus ungood badthink behavior, and of course all those surreptitious freshly-minted criminals would now have exactly what they started with, and then some, and still be invisible little guerrillas swimming among the sea of the greater population. And poor Uncle with no screws left to tighten after their targets had already willingly "complied".

Who knows? Some of them might even gain some wee familiarity with machine tools and such, and next thing you know there'd be all these non-existing full auto Stens floating around, with no records whatsoever. Ditto for suppressors for everything.

"Now we have some machineguns. Ho-ho-ho."

Soooper Scary Thought for Mr. Batfeeb:What if metric f**ktons of Naughty People have already done that, and in fact had been doing it for years?!?

OH NOES!!!

Wait: a government idea that failed epicly? Stop the presses!!!

So let's re-visit how squeezing all that jell-o through .Gov's fingers is going to work.

This is before any random little bands of good ole boys decide that a big gun turn-in is a juicy target in and of itself, whether for the materiel, or the target-rich environment, or both.

Now Uncle has to crack down, and go door-to-door.

Or more likely, go Dorner-to-Dorner, after they mega-radicalize Normies by the tens of thousands.

Even worse: What if some anonymous forward-thinking and civic-minded folks made a present to their trusted nearby neighbors of one of any dozen non-serialized weapons, together with a care package of a couple of magazines and a box of rounds, and left them on multiple back porches after dark, "From A Friend", in a plain brown wrapper. Some might get reported, but Uncle would never know to whom and how many had been dropped off like night letters. Many chaos. Much sad.

What if they saved a few extras to plant in the gardens or vehicles of ID'ed snitches, or mid-level targets, and then they anonymously snitched the snitches, and got Uncle to kill off or imprison his own moles and minions. "Hey, no, that's not my illegal gun, Officer Friendly!"

Of course, crooks and drug dealers haven't been using that exact tactic to wipe out their competition since bootlegging days, right?

This in a government with a long and glorious history of not being able to find KGB spies within its own CIA, FBI, and military, for decades despite people on beer paychecks driving around in Ferraris. Yeah, that's gonna work out great for them.

Hilarity ensues, methinks.

People from Uncle playing backgammon and checkers are going to run into serious trouble when they bump into folks who can play chess, and bother to think and plan even a couple of moves ahead.

This country was built by shopkeepers and blacksmiths, and it will be again.

Best laid plans, and all that...

Defensive Training Group Blog Deplatformed

Wordpress continue the kulakization of free speech. DTG has been TOS'ed off the internet, some time during the last 12 hours.

If we go down here, be of good cheer.

This is but a side show.

The main act is about to raise the curtain.

See to yourselves, and your own business.

Oh, BTW, you are archiving and printing hard copies of anything you feel is important, aren't you...?

By the by, I picked up an ancient military teletype for almost nothing over the weekend.

Have to see if I can get it to work one of these days...

Get Busy

We would love to be wrong. Doubt such will be the case.

You'd better start sorting things out on your own, and figuring out what to do and where things go, right where you are.

Or else start getting packed for the train ride to the camps. Dealer's choice.

They stole an entire election, in your face. They want control of the country, by any means necessary.

What are you going to do about that?
Send a sternly-worded letter of protest?
Vote at them??

That's risible. And ridiculous.

Ain't gonna be no "regrouping for the next election". That was settled for all time, last week. Anybody expounding on that idea is virtue-signaling their total oblivious clueless dumbassery.
Silly marching, rallying, holding your breath until you turn blue, or resolving to taste bad when thrown to the lions isn't gong to get anything done, except you. Following delusional people in their psychotic plans is rarely a winning move.

Pay attention: The America you were born in is over. Gone. DEAD.

As Concerned American has told you at WRSA about a thousand times:

"This is where you are. Imagine where you'll be."

Any future voting will be done from rooftops and behind barricades. Etc.

Best be about it then, if you ever want your freedoms back.
Nothing less will suffice, and the other side won't stop until you bloody their noses, ideally at 3200fps or so.

We'd love to be wrong about that too. But wishing will not make it so.

THIS is How You DO It

I read every comment posted here. (Yes Trolls, even your screeds that I sh*t-can.) Some mornings and some comments make everything worthwhile. This is one of them.

From Comments:

@aesop

Thank you for recognizing our work to create the muster here in Bedford County. Yes, there are many of us that read your blog. Like you said, it didn't take much to be honest. Just a close knit group of guys that have had enough. We have been lobbying at Lobby day for years now, went to the rally, sent our emails, made our phone calls and we have been training with a more quiet and smaller group for years now.

We decided it was time to make this happen. We put out the flyer which was a copy of the Floyd County muster flyer (which happened back in Jan), and then started posting it in every convenience store, fire station, YMCA, etc we could post it. Called the news media and sent them the flyer, told them what was going on, etc. Some of our team met with the Sheriff and his team and he was very supportive and glad to see we were organized, had thought through everything and he saw no reason for him nor any of his deputies to attend after he learned of our intentions and why we were calling it.

With that, we borrowed a PA system, had some signs made to place in the roads to direct people, found more volunteers, created our muster cards, had hats made for sale, and made it happen. Again, the work of a dozen focused men to create this and then about 25 of us (men and ladies) on the day.

Now what? Now, we go to the Board of Supervisors and make this an official militia so there is legal weight to it. We have training scheduled for the next two months already, we have emails and info regarding next steps ready to go, we are looking for more trainers and land to train on. We are meeting with the Sheriff again and keeping a dialogue open.

We are also organizing the Campbell County Muster as well (adjacent to Bedford County) and hoping for the same turn out.

#wewillnotcomply
But wait, there's more:
Wes Gardner (Yes the one in Va) said...
Thank you for covering our event in Bedford.

We are currently involved with groups putting together militia efforts in the following counties as well:

Bland
Campbell
Botetourt
Dinwiddie
Amherst
Pittsylvania

And a few others in the early startup stages.

We are sending a very clear message to Richmond and the rest of the country that we will not stand by idly as our God given rights are trampled on.

Also, you hit the nail on the head! We are going to be a mobilized force that can work diligently to put forth strong candidates that will truly represent the commonwealth.

These forts will help to ensure that Virginia remains a great place to raise a family, start a business, feel safe from crime, experience the birthright of freedom that was born here.

We will continue forth and carryon the fight.

God bless you
And
God bless America

That's an embarrassment of riches.

Like we've been telling you, small groups of committed individuals change the world: they're the only thing that ever has.

22,000 people once is a mob photo op.
500 guys in one county, who have guns, won't comply, and train together month after month is a battalion.

Learn the difference.

And in 90 counties? That's an army of freedom.
Before whom tyrants (even elected ones, like Gov. Blackface Babykiller) tremble.

Best Wishes to the fine folks in Bedford County doing this, and kudos to them for doing the same thing in the counties next door. And so on. And so on.

You go, patriots.

LOCAL, LOCAL, LOCAL.

Ex Libris: Basics Of Resistance

h/t WRSA

Claire Wolfe ("It's too late to work within the system, and too early to shoot the bastards") and Kit Perez have a new book out.

Excerpt:
In today’s excerpt from our new book Basics of Resistance, we look into Chapter 9: Allies and Associates. By this point, we’ve talked extensively about your core group, its members, and its operations. Now we look at outsiders who may help or hinder you. We pick up after the discussion of close allies and move on to more casual contacts. NOTE: We owe this chapter to a great supporter of our project who prefers to keep a low profile.
—–
Let’s define an associate as “anyone you know who is neither a known or suspected enemy.” Obviously, that covers a pretty broad range.
Like who, for instance?
• The old lady down the street who watches the world go by from her living-room window.
• The guy at the local tire store.
• The kid working evenings at the 7-11.
• Your admin assistant at work.
• Mr. and Mrs. Hu at the Chinese takeout.
• The preacher at the local breakaway Christian church.
• Your cousin who works in the county supervisor’s office.
• The daytime bartender at the tavern downtown.
• The retired business executive down the street.
• The nightshift waitress at the waffle palace over by the Interstate.
• The Johnson boys over at their jackleg garage and scrap yard.
In other words, virtually everyone you encounter during your daily round is a potential associate (or enemy), and it’s up to you to make an informed, accurate decision whether to trust each one.
How? By getting to know them and what makes them tick. Nothing more, and nothing less. Even if you’re not a people person, you can improve your interpersonal skills using time-honored basic investigative techniques such as the
following:
Shop local, shop small: In a Big Box world, it’s getting more difficult to find the little local place for hardware, food, car repair, or any of the other necessities of life. Do it anyway. Be prepared to pay more at the local store than the national chain. Watch your manners. Support local businesses.
Community service: Do you support the local ambulance corps? What about the firefighters, be they volunteers or paid professionals? Can you do more? Do local emergency services have classes that would benefit you and your group? Most volunteer fire departments have non-firefighter volunteer positions open as well, and those are a great way to not only bolster your credibility in the community, but they also put you in the loop for information not generally available to outsiders.
Police relations: Take the opportunity to discreetly participate in any community affairs events your local LEOs conduct. Don’t be a badgelicker—but don’t be a gratuitous jerk, either. Get a sense of who the officers and commanders are, not just as the guys who give out speeding tickets, but as actual human beings. What is your local police department’s capability? Weaknesses? Equipment? Personnel levels? Set aside any personal bias and figure out if any of the officers can be used as conduits for information.
Other government officials: Ditto the advice above. You want to take every opportunity to see how people behave in normal times to better inform your organization’s decisions come hard times. You should also have a copy of and understand your county’s emergency plans; check with your county supervisor’s office on how to get one. If your county offers CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training, sign up; if not, find a nearby county that does.
Your neighbors: Break the modern paradigm and gradually get to know a little about your neighbors. You will be astonished what you can learn by being interested (but not too interested) in them. See the section on neighborhood barbeques and meet-and-greets.
Local churches: Sadly, many clergies in modern-day America are closer to government and its objectives than to the Almighty, but it will still benefit you to have a sense of who’s who in your community. Most churches have large kitchens and gathering places, which will be essential community assets in a crisis. Sorting the mammon-worshippers from the truly benevolent is a task in what will ultimately be a battle for hearts and minds. Pay attention to those in the religious community who do a lot of volunteer work; what’s their motivation? If they’re worried about getting credit or need attention, they might not be the best people to work with.
The homeless: Do you have any in your neighborhood? Do you know? Where do they camp? How many are there? Is there a way to help them help you and your organization? Be creative. If they can’t be used as assets and are merely a risk, do you have a plan for mitigating that risk?
Medical facilities: Big or small? Is there a hospital auxiliary you or a core member can join? How many doctors? RNs? Other paraprofessionals? Are any medical personnel known personally to you or other members of the core group? Are they willing to teach you?
Airports: Who do you know there? Runway length and other facility info? LE or military usage?
Area-specific place/personnel of interest: Do you know anyone at local military or National Guard facilities? What kind? How well do you know them? How well can you get to know them?
By this time, some reader is wondering what in heaven’s name should be done in all of these situations and places.
The big-picture answer is simple: Know more this week about every person, place, and thing listed above that you find your community than you knew last week.
Why? Because your organization has goals that you and your group are fully committed to achieving. And every person, place, and thing above can either help or hinder your group in achieving those objectives.
By yourself, in a crisis, you’re screwed.
Boys and girls, this is exactly what Sam Culper has been trying to download into people when he talks about reconnaissance of the human terrain in your Areas of Operations and Interest.

It's what Bloghost CA means every time he makes "Meatspace" and "Local, Local, Local" a masthead quote at WRSA.

It's what the clever fellows in Special Forces, for going on 70 years, have called an Area Study (the diligent will want to refer especially to Appendices G and H in that pdf, if you haven't already done this for your local area. How big? Start with just your home county/parrish. Then do it for every adjoining county. Get cracking.)

I'm not going to come help you, and you aren't coming to help me, when times get sporty. The people and alliances you've cultivated in range of where you live will.

Or, not.

Even after the Internet goes down, Darwin Awards will still be handed out. They just won't necessarily be recorded for posterity and comedy relief.
Don't be Those Guys.

When you're ready to reach beyond bare mastery of a subject, you read widely and deeply. That's why, at last look, I have 20-30 different basic first aid texts, and 40-60 different survival manuals.

After getting the basic gist of the subject, you're always looking for two things:
* New ideas, tactics, tips, and procedures, and
* New ways of teaching the tried-and-true ideas, tactics, tips, and procedures.

Because every once in awhile, there's something new under the sun, and there's always a way to make an old subject new to a fresh audience.

If the rest of this book is of the same caliber as this excerpt, it looks to be a valuable addition to anyone's library, and it's on the way to mine.
If it helps you to crack the code of long-thought doctrine on a subject that is becoming more practical and less academic every passing day, you may wish to do likewise.

And in case you're still not sold, there are additional excerpts to peruse.

I would suggest you buy this book.
$11.69 in grid-down paperback copy, and only $0.99 through tomorrow for kindle readers.
And as a review by James Wesley ,Rawles (SurvivalBlog) suggests, you might want to consider extra copies as handout gifts to Like Minded Individuals.

Get. Read. Do. Pass To Others. Repeat.

Because as noted in the excerpt, "By yourself, in a crisis, you're screwed."

Anecdotal Data Point: Leesburg VA

h/t Old NFO

Just a little tidbit for folks to play with, mentally:

"From this last weekend, in Leesburg,VA there was supposed to be yet another protest -

For those unfamiliar with the Leesburg Confederate statue that has people upset sits on the grounds of the loudon County Court house which, in turn, sits in the NE quadrant of King St. (Route 15) and Market St. (Route 7).

Across King St. from the statue is The Downtown bar, known for its clientele who favor 2-wheel transportation. Bar window sports a sign "Better here than across the street." My information came from a friend who had "ring-side seats".

Sometime in the morning a van passed north on King and a cellphone was held out the front passenger window. Photo recon? Who knows?

At any rate the customers in the bar and the deputies on OT rolled out. Bikers on the sidewalk, deputies on courthouse grounds.

About 10 minutes later same van followed by another were waiting at King/market intersection. they made the turn on northbound King...slowed dwon...one van slid open its side door...and quickly shut it. Both vans picked up speed. As they passed Cornwall St. a troop of cavalry...er...motorcycles fell in behind them. Lead bikes were LCSO officers. Vans were followed to Point Of Rocks Bridge and the MD state line.
Thus ended the Day Of Action in Leesburg.
Van plates were run: rentals.
Note the last line, above...
Where does it end? Personally, I think it is liable to end much like some of the European countries, where either law enforcement, or locals take care of the problem themselves. And antifa disappears from that area for a generation..."

Pity somebody didn't follow then to their terminus, and get all the data and pics they wanted.
Something for people to think about.

And allies are where you find them.

What Are You Prepared To Do?

From comments today:
So then we stop the rallies, stop the demonstrations. People don't see us anymore, we cease all operations.

And then we do what? What's next? I know what THEY will do next. All Confederate Statues will disappear and then the statues of the Founders will disappear. Then ANY statue of ANY white person. Then streets will be renamed, schools, etc.

THEY are going to DO that. And some of them will also keep attacking random whites on the street, "knockout game" style.

What are WE going to do?
That's an easy question.
"What are you prepared to do?"

By all accounts, most people are neither inclined nor prepared to do fuck-all.
Bitter or not, swallow that medicine, and move forward.

Do you live in the Blue hives?
Then street theatre probably isn't on the menu, nor should be.

If you aren't, then you can take a shot. You might notice that when Antifa tries things outside their comfort zone, it doesn't go well for them.
So you're not going to lose ALL the fights, nor even most of them. Berzerkely, Boston, etc., are probably not going to go well for you though.

In case this wasn't obvious, Charlottesville had an unfriendly mayor, unfriendly cops, unfriendly state police, unfriendly governor, and was ground zero for tens of thousands of leftists at the university. And it's a lazy two-hour drive from D.C.

Let's, by all means, hold an outright Klan rally there, and see how many normies are willing to get beat up for their right to free speech, shall we?
And BTW, let's do not one single fucking thing to think this through pro-actively, even though we'll have two months to get our shit in one bag.

And, oh yeah, let's have the whole fustercluck organized by an (until 5 minutes ago) Occupy! organizer and Clinton/Obama supporter.

That will turn out well. And when it explodes in our faces, let's let Lucy tee up the football for another try.

And another.
And another.

And another.

As I noted elsewhere, I have diligently perused every dead-tree and electronic list of pre-apocalyptic "Things To Do To Prepare For ________" that I could find.

By a strange coincidence, on exactly NONE of them, did I find listed nor explained, the entry "Protect Confederate monuments".
If your list is different somehow, explain that one to me. Please show your work.

The Leftards' 10-month crybaby hissyfits weren't working for them - not once - and in fact was making them an object of scorn, mockery, and public derision, including from their own nominal supporters, until dumbasses showed up to play the Washington Generals to Antifa's Harlem Globetrotters in Charlottesville.

If you ever saw "The Devil's Brigade", perhaps you can understand the disgust Pvt. Ransom's sprint and faceplant engendered from Col. Frederick on the return from the forced ruck march.
It's also a great flick. Watch it. Again, if necessary.

Do what you can, not what you can't. And if you're going to f*** it up, for the sake of everything, try not to do your spectacular faceplant in front of God and everyone.

And that's directed at everyone to whom it applies, not merely you, Comment writer, although you asked.

You or whomever, read the four links I posted in this post.
(Just to make it easy: hereherehere, and here.)
Make a farking list.
Then make a no-shit analysis of what you can do, and from there tell me what you should do, to get to where you can accomplish what you want to do.
This isn't hard at all, if folks just go in order.

Then start looking at list of what to look at after you get beyond one person:
here
here
here
here
here
and here.

There are no short-cuts. Folks can continue to do this half-witted, half-cocked, and half-assed, and marvel at the results.
Or, they can do it by the numbers, and get marvelous results.
My suggestion only has a century or two or warfare ("a continuation of politics, by other means" -von Clausewitz) in support of the theorem.

And if all that is still "too hard", then by all means, go back to MYOB, and taking care of yourself, and solving your own little problems. Which isn't a bad idea for life in general.

But qwitcherbitchin' when things you want don't happen, like they won't.

You never change anything by fighting the existing. To change something, build a new model and make the existing obsolete.” – Buckminster Fuller

And my thanks to GVDL @ American Digest , and CA @ WRSA for the linkage.

There Is No Such Thing As Knowing Too Much

Reference this thread at WRSA, based on these two from MDT.

What some folks think of as trivial arcana, whether we're talking military subjects, or any other field of subject matter, is frequently anything but useless, or trivial. Case in point today is the referenced subjects above.

Someone in comments at WRSA thought he didn't have a grasp on clearing landing zones, but that was OK, since he was never going to need it, nor have any friendly helos to need to clear LZs for.

Today's lesson:

Natzsofast there. Don't think two-dimensionally.

While you may not have helos, someone you someday don't like very well, and who has a hard-on for you and your tribe, might.

But a helo without an LZ/DZ is a wasted trip. Read anything about Vietnam from the first battle of Ia Drang in '65  ( We Were Soldiers Once, And Young, etc.) up through the Easter Offensive of '72, and nota bene how things worked for the US when Mister Charles had all the nearby LZs covered with interlocking fields of HMG/AAA fire. (Total US helo losses in Vietnam were nominally 43% - 5,086 birds out of 11,827 deployed there - but actually much higher, because many helos were shot down, salvaged, flew again, shot down again, salvaged again, etc., so that as long as they eventually flew again, they were not counted as destroyed. So we may have lost more total birds than we had on paper in the course of 10+ years of the Southeast Asia War Games.)

Point to all that being that while there's precious little jungle in the States, there's one helluva lot of impenetrable forest, as anyone in the PNW, or who served at Ft.s Bragg, Benning, Knox, etc., knows very well.
And if you can't land birds, drop troops, parachute in supplies, etc., and the only road access is easily blocked/degraded dirt forest service roads, you take a 21st century mechanized military, and turn them into 2d C. B.C. Greek hoplites, marching in on foot, carrying everything on their backs, and forced to evac casualties the same way. {Hint: for the hoplites in question, the Suckage Factor zooms up into the red zone at this point.} Which puts a militia (like raggedy-ass Afghanis, or Vietnamese peasants, for example) back on parity with the .Gov hoplites.

So you might should want to know how much room in square feet they need to get in every helo in

current inventory; how they plan to clear LZs, and where, and where the current LZ/DZs are; as well as the road grid down to goat paths in your AO. And how to deny or degrade them.

Again, not much good in Kansas, but in mountain and forest terrain, which is one helluva big piece of the country, pretty damned useful info to have in your head, and an area notebook.

Make buddy-buddy with the local LifeFlight, wildfire, FD/PD etc. guys.

(Because, for one example, your group is nominally a volunteer wilderness SAR organization. Which coincidentally gives you a reason to have medical supplies and training, feeding and base camp supplies, robust comms, and do helpful wild country exercises, and actually do good, while getting trained, and having a beautiful means and reason for recruiting some hard-assed like-minded folks. Just saying. And you can always swap walking staffs for something black, loud, and semi-automatic, come the day. So now you're not somebody the media's going to tag as racist survivalist Rambo nutjobs. You're the nice quiet local folks who find Suzy Dipshit and Bruce Nancypants from Dumbass City when they go hiking but forget things...like a map, compass, and clue, and then get lost and run out of tofu and soy latte on the backside of Mount Sonofabitch. Now you're little damned heroes.)

There are surveyed and pre-planned LZ/DZs in most limited access areas down to the county level, so they know where they can bring in a wildfire hotshot team, paramedic rescue, SWAT team, etc.

This is also true in urban areas. The FD, PD, and EMS already know they can't drop birds in everywhere, because of wires, towers, and other obstructions, so they have lists and maps of the same pre-surveyed contingency helopad/LZs.

And as we currently live in a relatively open society, such maps are not considered the tactical intel goldmine they would be and become in a time of more existential sportiness.

So there you go: military subjects, Greek hoplites, the Vietnam War, altruism, subterfuge, and John Pinette, all effortlessly rolled into a nice Sunday confection. Have I mentioned that I'm a huge fan of James Burke?

Thus endeth the lesson.

Position Improvement

h/t VFS

"Every moment one is not in the attack should be spent improving the current position. Dig, wire, mine, and reinforce, until the next offensive. This is the heart of warfare." - every field manual and treatise on military philosophy ever written, worth the ink and paper to record it

Embedded in a post at JJ's blog was the masthead poster for this post.
I heartily agree with the sentiment.

However one feels about President Trump, we can agree, unlike the Lefty lunatards, that the president ultimately cannot effect much change, nor should he. Overwhelmingly, what he does for posterity lies in things like appointments to SCOTUS and the federal judiciary, so his influence is mainly indirect, and frequently removed in time and space. (Witness how much mischief the last few @$$clowns in the office have hamstrung us downstream through secondary and tertiary effects.)

But Pres. Trump is, nonetheless, a welcome respite (and probably not much more, mind) from the previous downward progression of the United States into tyranny, slavery, rebellion, storm, and bloodshed, probably all of those concurrently when they happen.

We've had our fun watching an unending series of nothingburgers the Leftards and their media wing over at ABCNNBCBS have breathlessly assured everyone, mostly themselves, would herald Trump's Final Undoing, only to watch again and again as he has thwarted their predictive idiocy with the grace of a matador and the battlefield acumen and luck of Robert E. Lee.

But prudence and common sense reminds us in the still moments that such can not go on unabated, and even should he be re-elected, and emerge from both presumptive terms unscathed, one day January 20th, 2025 will dawn.
Let's recall furthermore that Trump is no spring chicken at 71 years of age, and powerhouse and force of nature though he be, we've all seen age progression on how 8 years serving in what Harry S Truman called "the crown jewel of the federal prison system" wears a man down to the nub. We could be looking at a Pence presidency pretty much on any given day, and whether we shall, God alone knows.

Ditto the economy, booming though it is at the moment, could all unwind in a day - the moment enough of the headless chickens who dictate such things all crap their pants and begin to run around the financial barnyard hither and yon. That could be any moment, from now until time beyond the ability to intelligently forecast.

Add in the usual unknowns of the sanity - and manifest lack - of other countries, and their leaders, and you have little to help you sleep soundly at night upon consideration of the prospects, pretty much for the rest of your life, for anyone old enough to notice.

Knowing, therefore, that all such things as the current moment are fleeting, even the pause in Big Gov's quest to return us one and all to serfdom in perpetuity, it behooves sensible folks to continue their everyday preparations to resist the storm everyone can feel in their bones, even when the sky is literally or metaphorically clear for miles.

Do you have a financial cushion? Cash savings, precious metals, barter goods, a bombproof diverse skillset and backup occupations and revenue streams - all of the above?
A nearby or current piece of defensible and arable land, with water, good soil, sunshine, etc.?
A like-minded tribe and/or neighbors to make a small community (or a larger one) militarily, politically, and economically viable going forward for months, years, and decades?
Personal preparations, consisting of self defense, water, shelter, food, power, transportation, medical needs, technology and tools, and the flexibility to apply all of the  preceding in circles outward, from self, to family, to tribe, to community?

Anything not in your immediate control, from bank accounts and ATMs to grid power or water, to police/fire/EMS, is simply a future point of potential failure. If it holds, good for you, but Hope Is Not A Plan.

Summer's coming to a close. So make some hay while the sun shines.
There's no telling when the seasons of life will change, or how long the winter we all dread may last.

And when it hits, if you're lucky, you're going to get one good chance to stave off the Hobbesian nightmare of a life "solitary, poor, nasty, brutish, and short" for yourself, and anyone you hold dear.

Get busy, and get it right.

This $#!^ Ain't That Hard..."

great guest post at WRSA

"Genius" Comment of the Day:
Not another one of those “Only Infantry can do Infantry Shit..because Basic, and AIT! … RahRah!” articles.
This shit isn’t that hard.. just be in reasonable shape have serviceable equipment and have reasonable basic fire and maneuver skills.. and from there on the fog of war and serendipity takes over in most situations anyway, especially in the extra dose of chaos one can expect in domestic upheaval.
I would put a fireteam of 4 civilians that have been training with each other recently over some dudes who used to be in the infantry 15 years ago and havent done squat since then, any time of the day.
And twice on Sundays.
Everyone in this picture, Every Swinging Richard, once said "This shit isn't that hard..."
No.

It’s another one of those
“If you’ve been to twenty tacticool weekends, SPC Slick kicked your experience curve before he got out of basic training. A year ago.

And he’s twenty-thirty-forty years younger than you, can ruck the fuck out of you, even hungover on Tuesday after a three-day weekend drunk, and is too stupid to quit or be scared of you, because the part of his brain where common sense and mortality lives won’t grow in for another six years, which is true for 19-year-olds forever, whereas every year, Time is beating your dick into the ground.” articles.

Math and common sense are hard-assed like that.

Back when we were scrappy, our mostly irregular army outlasted the shit out of a world-class army, and it took substantial support from a major power (look up some time how broke France went doing it, and why the peasants there revolted shortly afterwards) to help us do it.

And at least twice, we’ve won every battle and still lost the war by being outlasted by scrawny, stringy, illiterate peasant hardasses too stupid to quit, but perfectly happy to drop an occasional random round into your ass from a quarter/half-mile away, addressed “To Whom It May Concern”, or bury a vanload of explosives in the road and light your shit up week in, week out, for a decade and more, given five unobserved minutes.

The point being, train to your strengths.
Which if you aren’t somewhere between 18 year-old-recruit and 48-year old about-to-retire sergeant major age, does not mean trying to replicate being a JSOC ninja stud door-kicker, or the Airborne Ranger you might have been 3 to 5 presidents ago. Or never were, and never will be.
Ain’t. Gonna. Work.

But those teenage fuck-authority neighbor’s teenaged shits down the road may be your go-to guys if things get sporty. And come the day, they might really find a safe bed, a dry cave or basement, a hot meal, a place to heal up, a barrel full of supplies, fresh socks and a new pair of boots, or some really nifty intel on OPFOR to be pretty effing awesome.

So maybe wrap your head around what you can do, instead of taking offense at some truth on what you can’t, and won’t.

Anybody can charge machineguns. Some are even young and stupid enough to do it.

But ain’t nobody who can’t learn how to build a field fortified bunker, learn to cache a barrel full of food, or ammunition, or medical supplies, or boots and utes, socks, and underpants, or start making up local, district/county, state, and regional intel files on everything and everyone of interest within miles of their front door, come TSHTF.

SF, or the media at least, thinks they train Green Berets every year during Robin Sage.

What they’ve really done is make a multi-county area of NC effing Ph.D.s in guerrilla warfare, and I’m talking about the farmers and shopkeepers and garage mechanics who role-play their support force and ersatz insurgent commandos.

Guys who can - and do - buy, beg, borrow, steal, or stash all the stuff somebody'd need to run a guerrilla war.

Read up on that, and tell me how you’d favor 4 guys who train together, vs. 50 other good old boys with pickup trucks who’d keep them hidden, informed, supplied, fed, safe, and mobile, and can have their pick of which 4 guys they’ll choose work with.

Simple Sabotage Field Manual

h/t O.S.S. circa 1942 via Art of Manliness

"INTRODUCTION

a. The purpose of this paper is to characterize simple sabotage, to outline its possible effects, and to present suggestions for inciting and executing it.
b. Sabotage varies from highly technical coup de main acts that require detailed planning and the use of specially trained operatives, to innumerable simple acts which the ordinary individual citizen-saboteur can perform. This paper is primarily concerned with the latter type. Simple sabotage does not require specially prepared tools or equipment; it is executed by an ordinary citizen who may or may not act individually and without the necessity for active connection with an organized group; and it is carried out in such a way as to involve a minimum danger of injury, detection, and reprisal.
c. Where destruction is involved, the weapons of the citizen-saboteur are salt, nails, candles, pebbles, thread, or any other materials he might normally be expected to possess as a householder or as a worker in his particular occupation. His arsenal is the kitchen shelf, the trash pile, his own usual kit of tools and supplies. The targets of his sabotage are usually objects to which he has normal and inconspicuous access in everyday life.
d. A second type of simple sabotage requires no destructive tools whatsoever and produces physical damage, if any, by highly indirect means. It is based on universal opportunities to make faulty decisions, to adopt a noncooperative attitude, and to induce others to follow suit. Making a faulty decision may be simply a matter of placing tools in one spot instead of another. A non-cooperative attitude may involve nothing more than creating an unpleasant situation among one’s fellow workers, engaging in bickerings, or displaying surliness and stupidity.
e. This type of activity, sometimes referred to as the “human element,” is frequently responsible for accidents, delays, and general obstruction even under normal conditions. The potential saboteur should discover what types of faulty decisions and non-cooperation are normally found in this kind of work and should then devise his sabotage so as to enlarge that “margin for error.”"

A Magnificent Rant

If anyone out there isn't dropping by Mike's Cold Fury website, you're truly missing out.

For those of you who haven't been by, here's the conclusion of a truly artistic, thundering masterpiece essay on The Usual Suspects:

Detroit. Detroit is their model, their ideal; Detroit is what they hope to turn the entire country into. It’s all they can do; it’s all they have.
And THAT is where we take hope; that is our ultimate salvation. These halfwits have nothing whatsoever to offer except more of the same. They have already failed; they have failed again and again and again. Anybody who has searched in vain for a job in recent years, or dropped out of the workforce in despair; been victimized by a domestic Muslim terrorist attack that never would have happened without the Left’s wet-brained insistence on importing hordes of unvetted, unassimilable troglodytes; been forced into an unaffordable Obamacare plan that provides them with no real coverage in exchange for an exorbitant monthly charge; or risked their life savings trying to start a business only to see their dream drown in a Sargasso of idiotic regulation, taxation, and government obstruction, knows exactly where their bullshit leads.
How many of you believe that what those desperate victims of Progressivist perfidy need most is another lecture on how deplorable they are from the likes of this pinheaded, pissant prick? How many of you think that this sort of condescension is going to win a single vote for the agents of American ruin, the Democrat Socialist Party?
They destroy a nation. They scold the people who built it, and claim underserved credit for building it themselves. They blame others for their own manifest failure. They decry true patriots while risibly claiming the mantle of patriotism for themselves. They despise, insult, and spit on the military that provides the blanket of freedom under which they cravenly cower. They arrogantly insist that only they can resolve and repair the damage they themselves so wantonly wrought. They undermine the very foundations of the American republic by refusing to accept an electoral defeat.
They lecture, they hector, they harangue. They dismiss, they denigrate. They condescend and insult. They mislead, misdirect, conceal, and lie outright. But the ultimate takeaway is this: THEY FAIL. Always. Each and every time.
They’re done, people. They. Got. NOTHING. Unless they suddenly and miraculously discover a smidgen of humility, it’s only a matter of time before it becomes legal to actually start openly hunting them, and bringing their stinking pelts down to the bank to exchange for a new toaster oven, a gift certificate, or some other premium.
And then, we can truly begin to Make America Great Again.
That's just a small sample. Please, do go and RTWT.
Just put your beverages down, and don't visit for at least a half-hour after eating.

As a post-doctoral-degreed expert in polemics, I doff my cap at this masterpiece.Cold Fury

Strike A Blow For Electronic Privacy

h/t WRSA

This is somewhat troubling: Sensitive personal details relating to almost 200 million US citizens have been accidentally exposed by a marketing firm contracted by the Republican National Committee.

But hey, seriously…
This was data mined from all sorts of sources.
You’d lie to a pollster, right? RIGHT?!?

Okay, so…
Go by the local bookstore.
Collect 50 magazine blow-in subscription cards while you browse.
From political and religiously slanted periodicals, when possible.
Sign up for the magazines using your own name.
No middle initials.
At 17 real addresses you never lived at, all around the country.
Mail them in.
Next month, do the same thing for 5 people randomly selected.
Forward all your junk mail shit to those addresses.
Ideally, by responding to it using those addresses.
(And if you can’t figure out how to pull the same thing off online using dead end g-mail and yahoo addresses, you’re not tall enough for that ride.)

Going on vacation?
Out of state?
Go to the DMVs and post offices there. Get voter reg cards.
Get the local voter reg lists.
Re-register random strangers to different political parties than what they’re signed up for.
(Wear gloves. Don’t get caught. The Democrats have been doing this for decades. Of course it's illegal. So is deleting 30,000 official e-mails, and putting beyond-Top-Secret classified material on an unsecured private server. Beiss mich.)
Likely outcome: suddenly, everyone has to show ID to register to vote, or cast a ballot. Boo frickin’ hoo.
And people are registered to all sorts of strange parties.

Go to the local college or university.
Get a graduate name roster.
Get addresses all around the country that match the names, from the White Pages online, etc.
Register them all for the Denny’s Birthday Club.
As senior citizens.

Send $5 to each of 13 religious organizations. All different than yours.
And three atheist organizations.
And the Flat Earth Society, and the Church Of The Flying Spaghetti Monster.
And the NRA, and the ACLU.

Get three mail drops. Prepay them for six months.
Forward just your junk mail to the first one; forward all mail from the first one to the second one; all mail from the second one to the third one, and all mail from the third one to the first one. If they’re in different, but neighboring, counties, so much the better.

Get some cheap burner phones. (Quantity optional.)
Use them, and a prepaid cash gift card from Visa or MasterCard. Give one of the new phone number(s) out, with your name, every time you’re asked for a phone number that’s nobody’s goddam business, and order different inexpensive oddball crap to yourself.
At each of the 17 addresses you don’t live at.
Bonus: Use Amazon.
Send yourself Mein Kampf at one address, Mao’s Little Red Book at another, Shrillary’s It Takes a Village at a third, and Barry Goldwater’s Conscience Of A Conservative at a fourth address, and so on. Get the cheapest crappiest used copies listed.

Send your liberal acquaintances conservative books, in their own name.
Ditto, vice versa, for a few conservative friends.
Send some gay magazines to anyone annoyingly religious, esp. Muslim.

Take those bogus yahoo and g-mail accounts, and post rants on every political website in the spectrum. Daily Kos, HuffPo, TownHall.com, Brietbart, and so on.
Go hog-wild.
Think any obnoxious online jackhole, but with multiple personality disorder. Argue with yourself from different accounts.
Don’t forget Facey book and Twatter accounts. Be the Randy Quaid fan from hell in Major League 2, on social media. Try to offend everyone. Hashtag and “at” sign the known universe.
Lecture mouthy celebrities etc. for not being libtard enough. Make them hate their own causes, their own side, and get them to STFU and dance.

For maybe 200 bucks, you can so f**k up data miners, you’ll be listed at a dozen or more addresses you never lived at, and half a dozen phone numbers you won’t ever use, and be registered as belonging to every political and religious group on the planet. If 100 people did it, then did it to half a dozen random strangers, data mining them would be like looking for a needle in a wrecked auto junkyard, with a metal detector. Blindfolded.

Take some of the unused minutes on the burner phones, and call the embassies of every foreign state with terrorist groups. And terrorist front groups in neutral countries. And UN charities. Link their stuff to your online alter egos.

Leave some time on the burner phones.
Then leave them in public places like courthouse payphones, subway stations, railroad stations, bus depots, downtown cab stands, and casino slot machines.
Before you drop them off, switch the activation cards around.

Now the NSA is chasing Haqqim Appu, Swedish nuns, Shaquisha’s aunt Maisey, some random homeless bum with 27 psych holds, and teenagers from a downtown high school, and trying to tie them to ISIS, Victoria’s Secret, Justin Bieber porn, UNICEF, and inmates at the county jail.

If you have to get a supermarket (or any other) loyalty card, give them a fake name, fake address, and fake phone number: from three different real people, from the local phone book. Get multiple cards from the same chain, from different stores. Use them in rotation.

Feel free to get some more of those cards in the names of your elected representatives.
Use those cards to buy your porn and booze.

Post plastic-wrapped kilo bricks of oregano and baking powder to local politicians. From their political rivals.
And to the DEA from both of them.
Return address in Mexico, Bolivia, or Columbia.
(Bonus points if they’re from the offices of flaming Lefty eco-libtard groups.)

Rent a car the same as the one the local mayor, sheriff, chief of police, or the most special pain-in-the-ass politician(s) in your area drives. Make a set of stick-on cardboard plates, balls-on-accurate, with the right letters/numbers.
Run red light cameras in neighboring cities at 3AM. Park illegally in front of whorehouses, massage parlors, porn or marijuana stores, and get parking tickets. Go for the handicapped spaces. Call yourself in to the meter maids if necessary, mid-day.
Send the parking tickets to the local TV stations and newspapers.

And in case you never read Hayduke’s Revenge books, any time someone asks for a Social Security number that’s none of their goddam business, Richard Nixon’s number is 567-68-0515.

And there’s also a list of more Social Security numbers online, for Kurt Cobain, Walt Disney, etc.
Knock yourself out.

Screw the whole idea of tracking anyone’s digital life right in the butt, until it bleeds. For less than the price of a cheap handgun.
Corrupt the source data so hard it’ll never walk straight again.
And please, stop being lazy, and pay cash for your stuff, to the maximum extent humanly possible.

Privacy invasion game over.

I worked on a movie once, where one of the behind-the-scenes workers was a total dick to everyone. Because that’s what he was.
The sound guy quietly collected subscription cards from everyone on the show, for three months. Didn’t tell them why.
When the production company put out the crew list, he started filling them all out — for Messr. Dickhead.
For every publication known to man: lesbian magazines, dog and cat magazines, the Pennysaver, and about 200 other rags.
The last day of production, he mailed them all in.
Four years later, the dickhead was still fighting the mountains of shit that landed in his mailbox every day.

Another guy signed his vicious ex up for every dopey drawing at every mall and trade show he saw. She was getting junk from the entire planet, and never figured it out.

Have fun with life, and stop taking it so seriously.

History: If You Won't Preserve It, You Don't Deserve It

h/t WRSA

I have no love for revisionist visigoths, but I also have zero fucks to give for those who can't do anything but wet their diapers over it.

Reference: someone crybabying because they couldn't get anything done, and their beloved monument(s) got chopped down and hauled away.

Pot/Kettle.

1. Numbers talk, bullshit walks.
You either have numbers, or you’re just BS.
If 10,000 (hell, even 2,000) like-minded and resolute people showed up at any one of those monuments, surrounded it twenty to fifty bodies deep, and said “Fuck y’all, cops, BLM, Antifa, anybody; this sumbitch ain’t coming down, EVER! And we’re coming after those council members who tried to get rid of it in a recall Monday morning.” that would’ve been that. (And you probably could have expanded tenfold after Day One.)
But there’s no such base of support.
So you (whoever you are in any case) get rolled.
Welcome to How The World Works, Since Ever.
(Double Bonus Pussy Points if the reason you got rolled in the council vote in the first place was because you and an army of fellow geniuses "voted with your feet", decamped to somewhere else, and the relevant districts are now solid welfare-sucking blue. Your earlier selfish cowardice now pays dividends that last forever. Well played.)

2. 90% of everyone who shows up for such an ad hoc “happening” is a cam-whore, a thief, a liar, and a certifiable whack-job, or frequently all of the above.
Video camera lights draw those assholes like porch lights draw moths, in 110% of all known cases.
If you haven’t vetted your crowd long beforehand, and imposed a hierarchy and discipline on them, long before anybody shows up with cameras, you aren’t tall enough for this ride.
I’m sorry if that only now became apparent to anyone, or is news to them.
The memo has been out since at least the 1960s, if not 1917 or 1790, and probably long prior. This is one of those Reasons History Is Important To Life you didn’t learn in school because you were fucking off and/or your teacher wasn’t very good about driving the lesson home.
Final Exams can happen decades later, there’s no grading curve – it’s pass/fail – and you just got an “F”.

3. Stop playing on enemy turf:
If someone wants to take something down, find a site on private land, and put it back up. The same (if TPTB will let you purchase it for a nominal fee) or bigger than what was removed. Once it’s on private property, you can defend it, legally, with force of arms if necessary.
Expecting the guvmint to do it for you, because reasons, is still sucking on Uncle’s tit, and the other side of the coin from EBT cards and welfare phones.
If you don’t have the means to be a patron of the monuments you care about, once again, you aren’t tall enough for this ride financially either.

4. Honestly, let’s be men about this: there’s nothing wrong or shameful about admitting you can’t do what you want. Dig in, and get to work on that, so that you can do so eventually.
Or else admit you really didn’t care that much, find another hobby, and shut up about it.

Being grown-up is hard. Suck it up, buttercup.
That is not the face you want to show to the world.

Pull up your big-boy pants, and git ‘er done, or go home.

And Then...?

"At some point they will be bringing bike locks to a gun fight."

Yes. Yes, they will. And then...?

I've pointed the same thing out several times.
But in most contexts, as a bug, not a feature.

The point of things is to dissuade them from going that far, if such is possible.

"Stop, or I'll shoot!" only works until someone is brave enough to call that bluff (or, in Antifa's case, like many home invaders, stupid enough to think it is just a bluff), and then it's time to switch from conflict de-escalation to sight placement and trigger squeeze.

Generally nifty, in net terms, for you in your own living room. In the public square, not so much.

Because once you start shooting people in the streets, that's not the end, it's the beginning.
The minute you go to guns, TPTB jump in with both gorilla feet.
You win your battle with the pawns - the Bike Lock Guys, Moldylocks, and poisoned little dwarves like Yvette Felarca, et al.
But unless you're ready to march on the nation's capitol, you lose the war with the state, both the one you live in, and the State you live under.

So, on a bare satisfaction level, their like will die, as they always do, with a surprised look on their faces, and an extra anus or three. That outcome hasn't really been factored into the cake, for them.

But what about at the level of those who're funding their escapades (outside of taxpayer subsidies for student loans, and public institution tenure for faculty Reds, I mean)?
D'ya think George Soros hasn't been pushing for exactly that response from Day One, as an excuse to push his agenda?
Do you figure that Chuck You "Blood In The Streets" Schumer won't dance in the blood while it's still warm, with a "SEE? I TOLD YOU SO!" moment, which will be simulcast on ABCNNBCBS 24/7/forever? That it won't become the reason to roll back the last 35 years of CCW and Constitutional Carry progress? Anti-gunners were cheerfully willing to sacrifice MLK and RFK to pass the Gun Control Act of 1968. They roistered and capered in the blood of schoolchildren to get the Assault Weapons Ban(s) passed. Think they'll bat an eye over sacrificing a few mouthy teachers and porn stars to roll back Heller and McDonald?? Srsly???

They're waiting for that moment. Most of them are probably salivating at the prospects, and all it's going to take is a few thoughtless amped-up assholes to hand it to them on a silver platter, with an apple in its mouth. If rabid shiftless gender studies students get shot within a country mile of any campus, "school shooters" is the nicest thing they'll call you and anyone like you, for years.

And the nutless, gutless RINO Congress and Senate (ptui!) will shit themselves passing it. And Pres. Trump will sign it, because it'll pass with a veto-proof majority (if not unanimously in both houses), and no sense fighting a battle you've already lost. And John Roberts will cry about it, but then Pelosi or Schumer or whomever will wave around the midget/clown/donkey porn pictures they have of the Chief Justice, and it'll lose in SCOTUS by 5-4 or worse. Game. Over.

Leaving you right back in the fight of your lives for civilization itself, against everything.
You ready for that fight, now? Or next month?

Then throttle back, boys and girls. It'll come, soon enough. No need to rush it.

In the meantime, no one's saying you need to take it in the liver if the public anarcho-communists want to get sporty.

But nota bene, you can't retaliate in public, on YouTube, and 57 cable channels, and then spike the ball in the end zone, unless you like everything I laid out above, in spades.

Everyone knows who Bike Lock is. His entire pathetic life is now on the Internetz, to the 97th degree. Everyone knows Yvette Felarca. And Moldylocks. And with about 7 seconds, the entire Phoenix John Brown Gun Club. These @$$tards have a flippin' FaceSpace page, fer cripes sake. This is how you can tell you're dealing with Useful Idiot pawns, and not players. MS-13 is gonna whack 'em any minute, just to get their shooting hardware without a waiting period or background check.

For the rest, who can say?
In the event of foul play, the police would only have 100,000,000 suspects with a motive.

And just for informational purposes, imagine the hijinks that would ensue if one or more of them were found one morning not only whacked, but beheaded, with an ISIS flag nailed to their doors. Or their headless torso(s). Just saying.

Everybody thinks they want to poke the bear. Think it over.
If you don't want to end up playing the bitch in a bear porno, like Leo DiCaprio in the godawful @$$load waste of celluloid The Revenant,
then you'd damned sure better have some marshmallows to throw down to keep his attention focused on not eating you.

And then your own side, and the reasonable but undecided middle, are going to start to wonder aloud whether you did everything reasonable, prudent, and goddamed possible to thwart the other side six ways to Sunday before resorting to night letters, and midnight calls.

"War is a continuation of politics by other means." taught von Clausewitz to the ages. So you sure as hell had better have tried and exhausted every political solution in the attic, garage, and basement before you go all John Brown at Harper's Ferry, and try to hatch the next war all by your ownself.

You can't grow crops by pulling on them, and a noose is a tough necktie for anyone to wear.
Especially out of season.

Thus endeth the lesson.
