Biden's Poll Numbers Now In Freefall

h/t Common Cents blog

ABCNNBCBS have decoupled themselves from Poopypants, and are (slowly) announcing they won't follow him over the cliff. Because they've got their wetted fingers in the air, and they can see the flags are all blowing the other way now.

This is what happens when the media sees the end game, stops carrying your water, and will no longer sell your delusional brand. Because they know Joe Average has eyeballs, and 200M people have seen with their own eyes that the Emperor has no clothes.

Ignore the "He's not going anywhere" B.S. That's just whistling past the graveyard.

Biden's got one foot on a skateboard, and the other on a banana peel, and he's standing on a 3" wide ledge, 200' up a cliff. And every reporter knows it, no matter what the idiots at the White House say.

Trump could bang Stormy Daniels live on stage at the next debate, and Joe's chances still wouldn't recover.

NYT/WSJ/CNN all have Trump leading by 6 points over Poopypants, and the collective Leftard-o-sphere is shitting their pants just like Joe. They all know what happens to the last 4 years of hokum and criminality literally the minute Bad Orange Man gets sworn in next January.

The fall is going to be epic. If the state-by-state numbers hold, this could turn into one of the biggest electoral smackdowns in American history. It couldn't happen to a more deserving Fraudulent Selectee. Stolen elections have consequences.

FedEx-Kinko's doesn't have enough copy machines to print the ballots to save Poopypants' bacon this time, and if they try ballots, they may very well get bullets in reply this time.

Win-win.

The tell will be when Cabinet-level and other senior administration officials decide to "retire to spend more time with the family" in order to distance themselves from this regime, and position themselves for those Sunday morning talking heads honorariums and boards of directors slots. Before the subpoenas and indictments start flying.

Let It Ride

 h/t Mike

Mike @ Cold Fury is justifiably upset, and taking notice, of the relentless push towards open conflict, in this case noting a "kid friendly" Draq Queen burlesque show in Texas, in a county that's 90% Red state, with armed security by the local Pantifa John Brown Gun Club.

I have a more sangiune view of how that works itself out.

Hear me out.

Let 'em do that.

No, really.

Sooner or later, the Law Of Averages says that's going to get one or more of those idiots a third eyehole, from far beyond their meager capabilities to engage.

And then they'll return fire at innocents.

Worse = better.

And far better than that, someone really smart won't even take the bait they offered. They'll just wait until the Antifatards unass that AO after the event, follow them home, and make careful notes. And the tards will get it taking out the garbage, picking up a pizza, or doing their laundry a week or two later, with no AR-15 or hood handy. Won't that be a real shame?

And a week after that, someone will activate that bar's fire insurance, sure as the sun rises in the east.

They won't be able to shoot back at that, either.

But they're going to ratchet their way into exactly the open conflict they can't win and shouldn't start, because they think they'll prevail.

And when they're dead, and those hoods come off, I wouldn't give you a nickel for their families' chances afterwards either. Those people will have to change time zones, or go into witness protection.

These are babies playing with live grenades, and juggling lit road flares in a wading pool full of gasoline, and the outcome is predictable in the extreme.

Antifa placed their chips, and they keep spinning the wheel. And they've forgotten how that worked out for Moldylocks. They want to buck that tiger. Fair enough. Let the wheel spin, and let that bet ride.

{Apparently necessary for those who know what flavor their windows are: If you took this as "Don't do anything", instead of "Don't do anything stupid", you are still a No-Go at this station. And should strive for greater reading comprehension in the English language. If the shoe fits...}

...Or Your Lying Eyes

h/t Phil

We warned you this turn of events was likely, in the strongest terms possible.

And still we got jet-fuelled geniuses telling us in Comments it hadn't happened, wouldn't happen, and had happened years ago.

So, you wanna believe them, or your lying eyes?

Anybody think sending in the US 69th intersectional Dildo Brigade, as a speed bump to WWIII, is any kind of good idea?

Now think about the doddering impostor installed in the Oval Office by FakeNews, and his backup plan, Sen. Kneepads.

Then the National Security Advisor, looking like a man with all the geopolitical wisdom and experience of Dennis The Menace. And four-star military jackhole Milley Cyrus, and the Pentagon Assclown Posse.

Yer fucked. And this isn't even as bad as it can get.

Welcome to the New Normal.

It's like 1979, all over again.

Fake elections have consequences too.

Just Saying

Hey kids, remember this from waaaaay back in last week?:

Allow me to mention:

Write this on your hand with a Sharpie:

1) I don't lie to you
2) I'm not "scaremongering" nor advocating panic
3) I'm providing you with the best analysis I can, based on the best information I can get, to allow you to make rational preparations based on what's possible, and what's most likely
4) I'm doing this out of pure altruism and goodwill

I don't know any other way to do that than by giving you the truth, and showing my work.
If you spaz, or go into denial, or irrational delusional psychosis, you've got bigger problems, and they're not mine to solve. Seek professional help, and medicate yourself heavily. (And STFO of my blog.) And once again, we're still giving this to you ahead of the Usual Suspects, and we're still hitting it right down the fairway.

As are several other sites as well, but most of them aren't.  Draw your own conclusions on who to listen to, going forward.

Kleptocracy Dies In Gunfire

Mike at Cold Fury has noted again the spreading dumpster fire that is Venezuela.

I sympathize with the plight of Venezuelans starving and dying, and getting exactly what they voted for, good and hard.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

We shouldn't send them one single troop, or even $1 in US treasury funds.

But we should have submarines and clandestine flights dropping off those cases of captured AK-47s and ammo from our 1983 Grenada vacation adventure, and passing them out with bandoleers of ammo to any Julio in-country willing to start shooting at Maduro and his minions.

It's sort of a local tradition to inaugurate new presidentes via gunfire thereabouts, so why screw around with what works for South America, going back nearly 200 years?

Brain Fart Of The Day

I don't understand writer's block.
Five (max) minutes' surfing on the 'net cures it.
Case in point:

The following rhetorical pantload of horsesh...er, sorry, rose fertilizer, is what happens when schools no longer teach critical thinking and basic logic, because their students cannot pass the physical for that class, i.e. using their head for something more than just a hat rack:

A restaurant in Virginia booted the White House press secretary from the premises. The co-owner did so due to her standards, and much coercion from her staff.

This, in my opinion, is completely up to the discretion of the restaurant. No restaurant, or any business, should be forced to serve those they don't want in their establishment. In a perfect world, the incident would be over, and the restaurant could continue feeding its clients. Unfortunately, that won't happen.

The restaurant is being bombarded by negative reviews, and the detractors are from all over the United States. I'm sure the usual ugly remarks and threats are numerous, which can be hard on a business if it has an internet site. The sheer volume of nasty comment, or emails, can choke a server and increase the cost for business.

There are many supporters too, but if the supporters are the usual supporters for those so quick to react without thinking, their not known for their spending, or charity. They'll swear their allegiance, and then shake their head, when the restaurant closes the door.

To add insult to injury, there is another restaurant in Virginia with the same name. Their business may suffer, and if enough damage is done, they may seek the help of a personal injury attorney to reduce the losses.

I doubt the restaurant survives. Such actions, with nationwide coverage, don't end well. The co-owner, and staff, probably thought they were preserving their integrity, which is a noble action. Unfortunately their ignorance may lead to bankruptcy, and unemployment. They choose the battle, but never realized they already lost the war.
Sorry, but HELL NO.

"In a perfect world", the owner and her halfwit staff realize that absent any actions of personal misbehavior on the premises whilst dining, they treat Sarah Sanders exactly like every other customer who enters their public establishment. Because they know if they fail to adhere to that minimum standard of civility (from whose meaning-rich root, civitas, springs also the word "civilization"), the Banshees Of Comeuppance will descend on their establishment, and drive their establishment out of business, for cause, and remove their jackassical DNA from the economic gene pool, exactly the "invisible hand" predicted in 1776 by Adam Smith, the explicatory father of capitalism and its functioning.

So, for the exact same reason we have public health codes, if you're in business to serve food to customers, you serve food to customers. Period. Paragraph. End of effing book.

This was not the Democrat Harpy Pub. It was not the Politically Correct Lounge. Although, to be fair, if you're going to act like that and name your fœtid swillery "The Red Hen", you could at least do potential patrons outside the courtesy of flying the appropriate flag:

That no such obvious clue was evident puts the onus for acting with scrupulous correctness towards all paying customers not otherwise misbehaving firmly upon the swill-dispensary in question, and not the patrons.
Having failed that test of basic civility and customer service, they deserve everything they get in response, hopefully up to and including bankruptcy, business failure, unemployment, and poverty.

Dulce et decorum est.

That's called laying in the bed you made.

If you run an eatery, and you put the "rant" in "restaurant", thinking thereby that a mere license to sling hash gives you carte blanche to dictate the occupations and political opinions of your patrons, stand the f**k by for one of life's little surprises to come along, in much the same way as both gravity and sunrise do.

Business owners absolutely have the right to eject anyone from their premises. But in no world, perfect or otherwise, save for one best described by Dante in Inferno, do they have any right to remain ignorantly and blissfully free of consequences for their actions, whether wise or blisteringly stupid.

And there are no unicorn-powered welfare machines pumping out strawberry-scented banknotes to the poor here in Reality, either.

If an owner has even as little as half a wit, they make their political statements with their checkbook, not their guest policy. And when neither they nor their employees, combined, can pull off an IQ level higher than average winter temperatures in Lexington VA, slinging hash is probably the upper limit of their intellectual endeavors, and even that is probably suspect. As in, I suspect they probably follow their nominal mascot, and serve chicken$#!^ on the plates, as well as at the hostess station. I wouldn't know, and I'll never find out.

But if this is news to you, and you're blogging about it, you maybe ought to heed the sage advice of rapper Ice Cube, and check yourself before you wreck yourself.

Just saying.

Bonus: Go check out Dianny's post on the same root topic.

Told Ya So

h/t Moonbattery

WTF? Back in the day, we threw at a 1-meter bunker port 20m away, and you had to sidearm the thing to not hit the trees overhead, just like in the real world. Not throw from 10m at a 5-foot square basketball hoop. And they STILL can't pass?? Let's get down to the rat killin'...

No, really, I did.
I warned you here.
And here.
And again here, here, here, here, and here.

Now, you get this news:
(FORT PUSSYWIMP) The needs of the Army and the quality of the recruits it is acquiring have changed, so the Army is adapting. One of the many changes coming to Army Basic Training (BCT) is the removal of grenade qualification from basic training, which could happen as early as this summer.
The Army says this training takes too long and the time could be used for more needed training.
Commanders have complained about receiving undisciplined and “sloppy” appearing soldiers to their units after BCT.  So the Army has decided to dedicate more time for recruits to become physically fit and develop discipline by spending more time on drill and ceremony, inspections, and learning military history.
This is how you can tell a reporter knows Jack and Shit about military training, because none of those things build any increase in physical fitness. Discipline, maybe, at least with drill. Inspections only teach discipline afterwards, when you're getting thrashed, but the actual inspection is just standing around waiting. Learning military history, valuable as it is, is purely sitting-on-your-ass time, building neither discipline nor muscles. The way you get fitter recruits is by smoking their asses with countless pushups, pull-ups, sit-ups, along with the rest of the Daily Seven, and by running their dicks into the dirt. The trouble is, most of the problem recruits don't have dicks. How can we tell?

“What we have found is it is taking far, far too much time. It’s taking three to four times as much time … just to qualify folks on the hand grenade course than we had designated so what is happening is it is taking away from other aspects of training,” Maj. Gen. Malcolm Frost, commanding general of the U.S. Army Center of Initial Military Training, told defense reporters on Friday.
“We are finding that there are a large number of trainees that come in that quite frankly just physically don’t have the capacity to throw a hand grenade 20 to 25 to 30 meters. In 10 weeks, we are on a 48-hour period; you are just not going to be able to teach someone how to throw if they haven’t thrown growing up.”
What General Fuck-Up failed to mention in his PC-sanitized statement is that it's countless women recruits who "throw like girls" and haven't thrown a damned thing heavier than a lipstick tube their entire wasted young lives, who also can't toss the horrendously heavy 1 pound M67 frag grenade far enough away to keep from hitting themselves with their own shrapnel, thus making them more of a danger to everyone in their own unit than the enemy would be.

Hell, our last Secretary of State gave himself Purple Heart medals to get out of Vietnam by shooting himself in the face with his own grenade fragments. These wimpy Army chicks are being robbed of a chance to someday become Secretary of State! Sexist pigs!

SecState Chickenshit recalling his Swift boat exploits

The Army's pre-Barbie-era Grenade Qualification Course, when last I looked, was seven stations requiring one to throw grenades at six targets successfully, then finish up by IDing the grenades in current US inventory using the Mk I eyeball.
  • Station 1.
Engage a group of F-type silhouette targets in the open from a two-man fighting position. The targets are located 35 meters to the front of the fighting position, simulating enemy movement through and beyond the squad's protective wire.
  • Station 2.
Engage a bunker using available cover and concealment. The bunker can have one or two firing portholes oriented toward the direction of the buddy team's movement and a rear exit.
  • Station 3.
Engage a fortified 82-mm mortar position from 20 meters.
  • Station 4.
Engage a group of enemy targets behind cover at a 20-meter distance.
  • Station 5.
Clear an entry point to a trench line at a 25-meter distance.
  • Station 6.
Engage troops in a halted, open-type wheeled vehicle at a 25-meter distance.
  • Station 7.
Identify hand grenades. Soldiers must be able to identify grenades by shape, color, markings, and capabilities.
Passing all stations earned you the Grenade "Expert" bar. I earned mine with a perfect score, with ease, back when the CinC was another ass-kicking outsider Republican with a questionable dye job.

But the current crop of wannabe Combat Barbies can't fight physiology and biology, and grow the muscles they never had and never will, and certainly not in the weeks allotted for Basic Combat Training by the Army.

Which is why - exactly as predicted - the Army is lowering the standards to get the Combat Barbie non-hackers from a No-Go to a Go status.

Otherwise, the generals would have to go to Congress and tell them HopeyDopey's DoD had made a horrible and tragic mistake, which was going to get American troops killed in combat, and that's too hard for the gutless wonders wearing stars in Big Green.

Those gutless wonders should kill themselves now, en masse, and save time. And the first (probably only) general who had the fortitude to nut up and tell that truth shouldn't be court-martialed, he should be made Army Chief of Staff tomorrow, and everyone above him fired on the spot, but that'll never happen.

And in the article, they're also announcing they'll be dropping Land Nav.

"North to the ceiling, South to the floor,
West to the window, east to the door"
...but there's no windows out here anywhere...??

Far be it for me to suggest it's because women's brains have immense spatial recognition difficulty in reading a map and applying the image to the terrain, without far more time to train them than basic training allows.

I didn't have to say it though, because the US Army just did.

When the Pussy Platoons can't climb the hurdles, you lower them until they can.
It's not like map reading or use of grenades are basic combat skills now, though, unlike they have been for the last century for grenades, and knowing WhereTF you are since forever.

Best wishes with that dumbass plan in combat, sugar britches. The enemy isn't liable to make the same allowances. Ask faux hero Jessica Unconscious how that works out for you and your entire unit in the real world.

Barbie Clusters optional...

Socialism kills; Pain teaches; Learning Heals.

h/t Bayou Renaissance Man

Peter notes today this story, which describes the dire straits things are in down in Puerto Rico, a month after Hurricane Maria left them smashed and dazed.

(Third World, US territory) Melted medications. Surgical procedures conducted in sweltering 95-degree heat. Malfunctioning X-ray machines.
This is the reality doctors in Puerto Rico are facing almost four weeks after Hurricane Maria devastated the island.
"We're practicing disaster medicine in real life," said Dr. William Kotler, a senior resident in emergency medicine with Florida Hospital in Orlando, who spent two weeks volunteering on the island earlier this month. "We improvise if we have to, with very little resources."
Kotler and four other emergency physicians from Florida Hospital in Orlando, just wrapped up a two-week volunteer mission in Puerto Rico. Arriving one week after Hurricane Maria made landfall, they were the first medical relief team the hospital sent to the island. A second team arrived on Oct. 8 and will stay for two weeks.
Access to electricity was so shoddy that Trivino couldn't conduct a CT scan, but he was able to do an X-ray. To review the films, he had to go outside and hold the films up to the sunlight. Afterward, he used one of the team's two satellite phones to arrange for the patient to go to a trauma center.

I shouldn't wonder why.
Puerto Rico is in dire straits because for decades, - not years, but swaths of years - they ignored electricity infrastructure, preferring to funnel state money to social programs and cronyism rather than update a power grid cobbled together and jury-rigged since McKinley was president.

Now they're reaping the harvest of those decisions.

Color me jaded: boo frickin' hoo.

The last thing we should do is shelter them from feeling the consequences of their prior uninterrupted stupidity, because doing such is like covering hot stovetops with quilts, because the children are too stupid to learn not to touch them.

Nature/Creation put a perfectly functional nervous system in place to make stupid hurt, and what's actually cruel is to prevent it from teaching the lessons people should learn.

The people of Puerto Rico are going to learn there are some mistakes that hurt, and some of those you don't get to make twice in life, because they kill you. And as callous as it sounds, and heartbreaking as it is to hear of, the people you might otherwise pluck from the edge of the cliff moments from disaster are the exact ones who should be allowed to plunge off the cliff, or you'll just encourage the dumbest and most self-destructive of the lot to breed and multiply, which just means when you can't be there next time, even more will die. And you could have prevented it.

We cut into people, even though it hurts, because a little pain will save their lives. We force them to get their lazy, in-pain bodies out of bed rapidly, post-surgery, because it helps them heal better and faster. In short we, just like nature, use pain to teach, and to heal.

Stepping in now will only kill them with kindness.

Let them suffer, let them stress, let them get sick, and yes, even let some of them die, if they're to ever learn that the time to fix their problems was yesterday, not manana, or you're just pre-selecting an even greater number to die when you finally can't carry them any more, and even more of them die next time. Does anyone want "I saved twenty, so that 1000 could die later." on their tombstone?

Either the lesson will get painful enough to teach them, or the stupid will die off, and the smart will learn.

There is no other way for some people to learn, and it would be a greater cruelty to deny them the lesson that will save more lives in the future than will ever be lost now. And the soft racism of condescendingly low expectations is part and parcel of the entire wrong approach to deal with disasters like this. Send them all the tools they need to fix the problem, but let them fix it themselves, and do it right, so they don't need the same thing next year, and the year after that. Build a power grid that doesn't go down forever from one hurricane, or even two. Build storm drains that take into account the problem, and eliminate it the minute the clouds blow over. Instead of sending them food stamps, teach them to fish and raise food, so the entire island isn't a cargo cult dependent wholly on imported supplies 24/7/365. Teach them the hard way that they should have strategic stockpiles of medicine in storm-proof storage right there on the island, and not depend on immediate shipments because they never thought of that. And stop building things too flimsy to survive a Cat V hurricane, which they're going to get every decade or two.

I'll send you all the hose and buckets you want once, but you're going to man the pumps and put the fire out your own d*mned self.
