The Revolution May Be Interested In Me, But...
Frankly, I couldn't give a wet fart about it.
1) What I care about or not won't change it.
2) It's good to keep tabs on the enemies of civilization. It is not good to become obsessed with them.
3) I have better ways to spend my time.
I spent the last couple of days tying up some loose ends on various projects.
The survival water supply hereabouts is now good for more than a full year.
The social distancing and neighborhood block party shotgun now sports a proper set of QD swivels and a padded sling, which I've been meaning to do for quite some time, but to which I never quite got around.
The back-up Death-Dealing Sniper Rifle (because two is one, and one is none) now has a nice Picatinny rail mounted. And an identical lot of Federal Gold Medal Match to feed it. I would have added the rings too, but I haven't decided on the scope...yet. Next payday, most likely.
Another bunch of Gamma Seals and buckets are in the process of being filled and sealed, extending even farther the number of days the larder (which was never touched during the COVID Games) will suffice.
Contacted the local LDS warehouse. I'm not LDS, but they're generally fine folks in many ways, particularly with regard to making provision (literally) for harsh times. Zero's info about their canning facilities nationwide was a good start, and finding out their local warehouse is conveniently nearby made it an easy way to augment what I've got stored.
A small-scale (mini-fridge, microwave, a couple of lights, PACE comms, and a laptop) solar back-up system is in the planning stages, and should be installed and functional before summer is out.
The former daily driver is now free to be converted into the Urban Assault Vehicle, i.e. an RV that doesn't look like one from the outside, such that I can travel and camp in it, or bug out with it, at my discretion.
A visit to the fine folks at Dillon Precision means that shortly, I will no longer be dealing with the onerous ammunition nonsense hereabouts, and nonetheless will be laying in some canned goods - the olive drab type - week by week, as my newest hobby.
So the local communists can do whateverinhell they've a mind to do, and it won't make no nevermind to me.
But after DDSR II is up and sighted in just like DDSR I is, they'd better do it at least 1000M away from me, or their spaz-fest will have a very short run, off-Broadway, and will close out of town.
Alternatively, if black lives really matter to black people (a few thousand dead in Chicongo - let alone District of Criminals, Detroitistan, NYFC, etc. - argue for the fact that the very idea is nonsensical and ludicrous, if not risible) they could heed some wise words of advice, if they want to cut police shootings among millions of contacts with the police from the current annual number of 9, down to an even 0:

This Ain't Gonna Work Out Like You Thought
![]() |
| They weren't "Californians" when they landed here, nor when they left here. They won't magically become such when they get to where you are either. But you're welcome to all you want. |
"You all can go to Hell; I'm going to Texas!" - Rep. David Crockett
According to an article by Tyler Durden linked at RLGore's Straight Line Logic, Crockett's sentiment is shared by a growing number of companies seeking refuge from Califrutopia's confiscatory taxation. Which, make no mistake, is as bad as you've heard. You should RTWT, at either place. But as we've pointed out WRT Durden's prognostications before, what he covers is rarely as important as what he unknowingly overlooks. So stealing a line from the late great Paul Harvey, let's tell you The Rest Of The Story you won't get in the OP either place, in a fitting cautionary tale for Friday the 13th.
One quote in it has 70,000 "Californians" (the vast majority of whom are not, and never were, but we'll leave that point momentarily); the awkward paragraph's next quote has 12,900 (15% of 86,000), unless it was aiming at stating that ex-Californians were 15% of all new Texas arrivals, a number shrouded in vagueness.
So Point One, the minor one, would be to figure out WTF number we're aiming at, if you're seeking some precision beyond vague statements that "a lotta people are going to Texas from Califrutopia", which conveys close to zero actual and useable information.
Point Two, the far greater one, is that most of the people leaving CA are geographical gypsies, and have been their entire adult lives. Having no investment in where they came from they plundered and moved on to greener pastures, exactly as they'll do at their next point of alighting.
That prospect, far more than where they landed and plundered last, should scare hell out of anyone in Texas.
They weren't native Californians, people who carved an oasis out of a desert, built the ships and planes of WWII, entertained the world with world-class stories and music, or feed the world annually from their surplus. And, incidentally, voted solid Republican for most of a century, since the territory was founded as a state.
Texans aren't getting them for neighbors.
They're getting the detritus from everywhere from Pigknuckle to NYFC, the second- and third-raters who couldn't survive in the corrupt scumopolii of the East and Midwest, the ne'er-do-wells whose parents stuck it out in the dustbowl or Appalachia or the deep South until long after all the good jobs were gone, and then only moved to Californy after the welfare hammock there made the trip worthwhile, have now sucked it dry, and have chosen a new clueless rube to rob and loot before the husk here collapses from its own weight.
One might be forgiven for having thought Texas would have learned its lesson in Houston after Katrina, but there's always one bozo who has to grab the hot stove two times to catch on.
Tag, Texas; you're it.
You'll be getting the illegal aliens too shiftless to work here, the ones not quite bright enough to climb the cartel hierarchy, the white trash and Diversity Beans who've timed out their welfare benefits, and the proud younger diplomates from the 49th-ranking educational system in the country.
The ones who voted in Gov. Gray Davis, who bankrupted the state by buying its own power back from Enron at 4 times the market price, then became the first CA governor to get recalled in 100 years; the ones who thought Moonbeam Brown hadn't done enough damage to CA in his first two horrible terms back in the '80s, and gave him two more, those who voted for Clinton and Obozo and Shrillary, and then gave us Gabbin' Nuisance as a follow-up to Moonbeam, now finally termed out in his dottage, all while saddling the entire country with Barbara Boxer, the stupidest senator in the country for pretty much her entire term of service, gun-grabbing Sen. Fineswine, and Speaker Nancy Alzheimers, not once, but now twice, because the first time didn't screw the country up hard enough.
Sen. Kamala Klowncar Kneepads, beside this rogue's gallery, is just a latter-day asterisk.
You're getting their voters. To him who has ears to hear, let him listen.
Look real hard at where Davis, and Pelosi, and Boxer are from (Google it, I triple dog-dare you); that's who voted for them here, too, and that's who's moving to Texas, by demographic inevitability. And hey, Texicans, check out your southern counties, and note how your entire state is purpling up nicely, and due to flip (D) forever inside of 20 years, and then tell yourselves you'll be different, and "it can't happen here".
Don't believe me; ask around in Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Nevada, and Arizona. They think they got inundated with "Californians", but mathematics is a rare gift, and they never had the wit to figure out that if all their problem came from here, this state would be as barren and de-populated as North Dakota or Alaska, even if we threw in half of Mexico here illegally for free.
It simply isn't possible, and never was; those states were inundated not by "Californians", but by people who couldn't ruin Califrutopia fast enough, and just kept moving. We were just the last place they despoiled before moving along. License plates aren't birth certificates, a fact they learned too little, and too slow, if they even know now.
Now it's Texas' turn.
I forward Texas my sincere best wishes dealing with that locust storm, but no matter how I say it, it still comes over as the English translation of a Chinese curse: "May you live in interesting times." You're going to do just that; no doubt. And you're going to get what your governors have been recruiting for, good and hard. Based purely on a lifetime's eyewitness observation, let me assure you it will not be anything like what you'd hoped for.
Oh, and you other folks? Substitute the name of your state patch for Texas, as necessary.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
The next uprising will not be North vs. South.
It will not be Coast vs. Hinterland.
It will not be City vs. Country.
It will not be Everywhere Else vs. Califrutopian Hordes.
It's going to be street to street, and house to house.
Wrap your heads around that, and stop bullsh*tting yourselves.
The biggest threat to your existence for the next 40 years is not coming from Califrutopia, NYFC, or the District of Mordor.
It's coming from within 5 miles of your front door, right effing NOW.
And it always was.

Life Lesson: For You Who Live Sheltered Lives
Riffing off Mosby's recent repost of his 2014 thoughts on field sanitation and hygiene, I offer the following experience, far too recent.
I have elsewhere documented a previous encounter with a member of the Street Diversity.
Suffice it so, I recently had occasion to deal with several more, including Mr. Brown. (Go read the linked story, above. Not right before nor after a meal.) Mr. Brown was worse than Mrs. Brown. Same basic premise (living in car for months to years). Twenty pounds of actual sh*t in his shorts. Except with septic shock, and a literal coral reef of fungus on both legs, inches thick, which didn't spontaneously generate over days nor even weeks. He was outted when the vehicle he was driving struck a parked car in a lot, and PD found him.
Another, probably a cousin of the Brown family tree, was living similarly, with holes in his skin such that I could do anatomy lessons from the exposed musculature visible through his windows, a pair of sodden feet (due to recent rains) inside boots that were a classroom lecture and lab on immersion foot, and a probable case of necrotizing fasciitis, i.e. flesh-eating bacteria.
Both of them with extra riders, i.e. parasitic infestations.
Those guys usually die within a day or two, BTW. We may save one or both, but only just barely.
Who cares, you're not doing my job, right?
Okay, well-played. Except not so much.
And suppose Mr. Brown had hit your car?
Or what if Cousin Brown washed up on your doorstep, or at the end of your lane, in anything from just bad luck to major disaster, let alone SHTF?
If these sorts of Zombie Hordes walk around every day in first-world conditions now (and I'm here to assure you that they do), what are the odds you run across them come a local disaster, let alone civil disruption, or full-on Sportiness when bad things happen to everyone?
My SWAG: about 100%.
What's your plan to deal with that?
(For the smart @$$/dumb @$$ who kneejerk replies "Rule 308", fair enough and all; so, waddarya gonna do with the leftovers afterwards?)
How prepared are you to deal with the unhygienic unwashed stinking pestilential shambling masses anywhere between city hall and the front porch, dead or alive?
Sanitary disposal and Level-A Hazmat decon better be on your radar, long before it's on your front porch.
And you'd better be pretty up-to-date on your vaccinations, as well as being able to deal with every one of 100 medieval pestilential plagues after anything as simple as bad weather.
And game it for when you cannot call 911, and have the county coroner's van show up to dispose of the detritus that was deposited nearby.
No one is coming to save you.
Now see if you can figure why I think being familiar with Ebola, and the field-expedient protection for it, might be a bit more germane than some of the witless wonders think it is.
There's a typhus outbreak, right effing now, in Los Angeles' City Hall. Today.
From sewer rats, who gain access to the buildings via thoughtfully constructed rain gutters that provide a highway from curb rain gutters all the way to the roof, and then into the building through ventilation ducting and such.
What's your contingency plan for typhoid, dysentery, plague, and dozens of other civilization-long killers of man, going back to the deep B.C. era.?
PTA, baby:
Prevention
Treatment
Abatement
Vector control, pest eradication, and public health are suddenly on your plate too, as lord of your own domain, in any sort of disruption, large or small, short-term or generational.
Washing your hands is good, but there's more than that to sanitation.
Fail to plan: Plan to fail.
Fail = slow, lingering death for you and yours, shriveled, crapping your guts out, amidst an uncaring universe.
You will see this material again.
Next time, the pop quiz may be with your life and your tribes' as the ante.
Choose wisely.

DNC Strategy: Anyone Trump Nominates Grabbed Our Pussy.
This is what it looks like when your party's senators are Antifa.
They're batshit crazy, and simply terrorists acting under color of authority.
Stop the bullshit, confirm Kavanaugh, and start throwing people out of the pool.
Fineswine, Harris, et al, just for starters.
Censure them, and hand out multi-week suspensions, and kicking them off the Senate floor with no ability to vote for a set period of time.
That would end this horseshit in a New York minute.

The Core Problem
h/t WRSA
Essayist "Baron Bodissey", writing regularly at Gates of Vienna:
My response:
1) What have the voters in Netherlands, Germany, France, or the UK ever done, to lead you to believe any sort of electoral common sense was likely, let alone possible? (Nota bene "normative" common sense as voting policy isn't even suggested as an option.)
2) When and where can one point to any such sensible outcome(s)? 15, 20, 30 years ago? More? Anytime since the Second World War? Earlier?
The pool was polluted long since, generations since, and the sort of behavior one might hope for has variously emigrated elsewhere, died off, been bred and "educated" out of entire generations, for generations, and what little that remains is the truest miracle.
It's not incredible that Wilders, for your example, didn't get enough votes; the miracle is that he even existed as an option, and got any votes at all.
The elites, financial, educational, media, entertainment, and governmental, have been amalgamating feces and sawdust with steak for so long, most of the peoples in question can't recognize the taste of actual meat anymore, and actually prefer what they have been born to, raised on, and died under, for going on decades and decades.
Once in a miraculously great while, penicillin and mold may grow on the same piece of bread. But mainly, the mold that overtakes the bread is all malignant.
We're living in societies where they haven't even been growing the mold in bread, but on a cultural stew of the vilest sort, with the foulest strains pre-selected and nurtured, then foisted upon people before they're old enough to know good from bad.
Under those conditions, the outcomes noted aren't surprising, they are in fact exactly what one should expect, and exactly the outcome planned for and worked for by those mixing up batch after batch of such foetid horrors.
The true miracle is the recessive genomes that manage to thrive despite such a malignant incubation, and manage to allow a remnant to mature and recognize that both the agar they've been handed, and the social scientists who planted them in it, are exactly the core problem you seek.
Amidst that thesis, ponder the allegorical choice by someone like J. K. Rowling, of the malign servants of the Dark Lord of her fictional universe being named "Death Eaters".
Every once in awhile, when and where least expected, the masks slip off, just a bit.
Essayist "Baron Bodissey", writing regularly at Gates of Vienna:
I used to think that the biggest problem was the lack of any credible alternative offered to the voters. But the Dutch general election last March proved me wrong — on March 15 the voters had a clear alternative. Everyone in the Netherlands knew who Geert Wilders was, and exactly what he stood for. They’d heard him say the same things for many years. The awful future that he had predicted was being realized before their very eyes.
Yet they didn’t vote for him. Not enough of them. Eventually, after a protracted minuet of negotiations, they will get a coalition government of More of the Same. Because that’s what they voted for.
The core problem is not even the New World Order, although all the politicians and apparatchiks who are pouring the fire ants over our heads are disciples or paid servants of the NWO. But we, the electorate of the nations west of the Iron Curtain, keep voting in these same loathsome snoids, over and over again. And that is the core problem.
My response:

They're Reavers, Mal.
(If we're taking nominations for the next person who needs to be horse-punched, my vote is cast.)
Looking and watching what transpires day-to-day, one could be forgiven if they thought,
"I must be losing my mind. Nothing makes sense any more."
No, you're not crazy, but the Left wants you to think you are.
The term for that is "Gaslighting".
Gaslighting is a form of manipulation that seeks to sow seeds of doubt in a targeted individual or members of a group, hoping to make targets question their own memory, perception, and sanity. Using persistent denial, misdirection, contradiction, and lying, it attempts to destabilize the target and delegitimize the target’s belief.Instances may range from the denial by an abuser that previous abusive incidents ever occurred up to the staging of bizarre events by the abuser with the intention of disorienting the victim.Sociopaths and narcissists frequently use gaslighting tactics. Sociopaths consistently transgress social mores, break laws, and exploit others, but typically also are convincing liars, sometimes charming ones, who consistently deny wrongdoing. Thus, some who have been victimized by sociopaths may doubt their own perceptions. - Wikipedia entry, "Gaslighting"Further elucidation from a master:
That vid was from 2014, but things haven't improved since then. In fact, it's worse.
In a thundering essay on the current situation comes a fine and insightful essay, The Weight Of The World, by Dystopic, which you should definitely read in its entirety at his site.
From Dystopic's piece:
"Talk to a Leftist, and he will complain that dead people who looked vaguely similar to you perpetrated horrific crimes against humanity (while ignoring similar crimes perpetuated by people who didn’t look much like you). The Trail of Tears was your fault, so was slavery, the Holocaust, colonialism, why Somalia sucks today, and why it sucked 500 years ago, and why an overweight lesbian couldn’t get a taxi cab in Manhattan at 4 in the afternoon on a Friday – whatever. It’s all your fault. Carry the sins, accept the punishment, give up your wealth (there was a hashtag running around social media some time ago called #GiveYourMoneyToWomen), shut up and stay in your lane."
"Weaponized Empathy has destroyed these people, body and soul. They mutilate themselves, hate themselves, rail against the very society that created them, and then seek to unload their shame and self-loathing on to others."
Eureka! That's it! Joss Whedon for the win!
The Left today is nothing more nor less than Reavers.
That explains the facial tattoos, the hardware store in cheeks and heads, the rise of psychotics cutting themselves, the plethora of addadicktome and chopadickoffame surgeries the transnormal genderfluid freakshow refugees undergo, with about as much logic as you find at a NOW convention.
It also explains the rising tide of literal hordes of rootless weak-minded fruitcake retards who want nothing so much as to pull everything down, and burn it all, so they can be the Beelzebubian shitlords the cheatcode-embedded video marathons they play make them think they deserve to be.
This isn't just name-calling, this is taxonomy, in the strictest zoological sense.
That is what we're up against. Just. Exactly. THAT.
And whether it's barnyard animals in Animal Farm, or the rise of our dystopian simian overlords in Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes, it never ends well for the humans.
If the Left won't turn back from the abyss next to which they're frolicking, hordes of red-pilled folks are going to cut to the chase, and change the ending of the real life story, and it isn't going to be pretty for the animals, this time around.
If they thought getting punched in the face was bad, wait until they see the big rollout of When Things Get Serious. When the People Who Want To Be Left Alone (CF.: the Founders hereabouts called that condition "Liberty"; some old enough may recall what it looked like) have finally had enough pushing and shoving from the People Who Want To Control Everyone.
There's a price for being slow learners, and it's almost as steep as that last drop.
Think hard, Reavers.
Your targets are running out of patience for your antics.
The lives you save will be your own.

Reasonable Questions File
(No, Snowflakes, this isn't war. If it were war, you'd have been dead in wholesale lots, and the Right would have been grinning from ear to ear from their sniper perches hundreds of yards away, and would have laughed out loud as designated mop-up teams waded in and shot your wounded in the face. That's how WAR is played. You could look it up. This was an infantile tantrum where you shit your own crib. -A.)
From comments at this thread over on WRSA, comes this reply from the bloghost, Concerned American:
What is the military spec from 25 years ago on taking boot camp intakes to rifle competence, both USA and USMC?Short answer, seven weeks for the USMC, somewhat less for Big Green.
(Which accounts for the overall difference in the respective products received.)
Longer answer:
It takes a metric shit-ton of difference between basic recruits, and the rabble that calls itself Antifa.
It takes:
People willing to volunteer not just to commit violence, but doing so with a mature appreciation that they may very well be called upon to die in the effort, rather than hide behind a bandana and run like little girls if there's any chance of even getting arrested.
Edge: military recruits. From ever.
People willing to undergo weeks of draconian authoritarian discipline, follow commands to the smallest detail, down to how they shave, cut their hair, tie their boots, and wipe their ass, and create pools of sweat to meet the most minimum standards for every single thing, or failing to.
Edge: military recruits.
A trained cadre of experienced warfighters, intensively trained to break down those recruits, and then build them back up into what is needed, sufficient to kick the asses of every major power for two centuries.
Edge: military recruits.
A training ethic that knows the more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war.
Edge: military recruits.
Long days of training during longer weeks, just to get every person imbued with a sense of discipline at the individual and unit level, in order to accomplish the greater objectives.
Edge: military recruits.
The institutional mindset to shitcan the lazy, the stupid, the belligerently malingering, the psychotic, and the permanently weak, rather than pass along a cat's breakfast of two-legged abortions to later units.
Edge: military recruits.
Years of intense study to find, refine, and instill the techniques of shooting at the individual level, and fighting cohesively at the small unit level, to enable further training progress, and ultimate combat success.
Edge: military recruits.
A dedicated recruitment, training, supply, and support establishment to guarantee an unending pipeline of first-rate personnel, doctrine, training materials, and common equipment, thus insuring reinforcement of basic principles of warfighting and winning.
Edge: military recruits.
In point of fact, the Antifa is such an obvious display of libidinous monkeys trying to fornicate with a football, they wouldn't even register if there were side-by-side graphs next to each of these points comparing them to the training programs of the Army or Marines.
They can't be shake-and-baked into anything but a pack of armed baboons in seven (or seventy) weeks' time, from the starting point of being a pack of unarmed baboons (their default setting on their best day).
Someone like John Mosby, Max Velocity, etc. could take maybe twenty such raw recruits and turn them into a couple of barely competent squads. In seven long weeks. Because 20:1 is about the ratio at MCRD for Marine boot camp or in the Army for BIT/AIT for drill instructors/drill sergeants vs. raw recruits.
And to make them barely competent light infantry, the .mil allocates even more time and resources. With a vast cadre of experienced trainers, luxurious training establishments, and a gargantuan budget, just to, six months later, burp their products out the back end as minimally-competent basic infantry, ready to spend months and years learning and refining their arts, and marginally able to pour piss out of a boot, if given instructions stamped on the heel, and the tender loving supervision of sergeants who educate by profanity the way Michelangelo worked in marble.
Antifa could, with dedication, get to being perhaps almost half-assed, after the helpful application of six months' direct combat. Which would cull the bottom 95% of their number, either from casualties, or desertions, which both amount to the same thing.
The left going violent will be the VC launching Tet in 1968: a quick, glorious, spastic orgy of self-destruction, and permanent non-existence and political irrelevance after the bodies are counted.
And the Left has no Walter Crankhate to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat afterwards (though no shortage of those willing to try), and paint the stacks of protesters piled like cordwood - as they would be - as inarguable proof of their inevitable victory.
It would mainly end the Left as a political option, for the next century, and open season on them wherever and whenever found, until several generations post-blood-letting have passed.
By which point, being long dead myself, I will assuredly give no more fucks than I give about their pet causes now, while I'm very much alive.
The left is dangerous, but if they seek to win by force what they couldn't win by reason or peacefully voting into power, they will be the de facto Redcoats in the re-enactment of Lexington Common and Concord Bridge, and fare about as well as their spiritual forefathers did on that day in history.
And they would learn at that point, with alacrity and dismay, why it's always a bad idea (in a Darwin Award-winning sort of fashion) to bring a half-assed rabble to a guerrilla war. And don't ever pick a fight with rednecks that they can drive to in their pickup trucks, unless you like eating a sandwich for lunch made of your own ass, which they'll promptly hand you.
The little black-clad Bitch Posse feels brave when pepper-spraying women who thought they were going to a lecture, and ganging up 40-to-1 on unarmed middle-aged guys.
They will, by contrast, squirt their shorts full the first time they start catching facefuls of .30 caliber incoming, in a manner that will trigger the activation of their organ donation cards, and all their chicken-shit posturing has done is get a sizable cross-section of the right to salivating on the prospect of the smackdown we're inching closer to, with each one of these infantile street tantrums.
The pendulum swinging their way is a wrecking ball, with spikes on it. And even money, after the first casualties, some generous souls will then go after the fallen agitators' families, just to make a point. (In this case, the point being that the outcome of the Third Punic War is considered a reasonable victory line upon which the Right will settle.)
That isn't over-confidence, bluster, or braggadocio talking. It's the cold, hard, bloody truth, calling out down through the ages:
Beware the wrath of patient men.

Black Lies Matter
h/t WRSA
From Fred On Everything:
Do, please, RTWT.
His prognosis, of either backlash, perpetual conflict, or segregation so strict that it'd make apartheid in S. Africa look downright cheerful is probably right on the money.
Martin Luther King and Malcolm X, unencumbered by Common Core math skills, could do the math on a race war, and preached non-violence. Mainly because 7:1 odds didn't fill them with a lot of hope for the outcome.
Now that mostly non-violence for an entire generation has gotten all the loot it can - in the trillions, to date - from white-guilted folks, the next generation thinks they can steal even more.
They have miscalculated badly, and are, in the words of a Frenchman regarding his nation's Indochina experience, "about to be shat upon, from a great height".
And it couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of thugs and cutthroats, firmly deserving of buckshot enemas, just to drive the point home.
Followed by the real, final, and absolute end of the welfare state, and for all time.
Follow your read of Fred's essay up with a complementary one, by Robert Gore at Straight Line Logic:
Which brings us to where we are, and where we're headed.
Trump is a potential megalomaniac, and a douchebag, but Shrillary would expand the scattered riots into one from coast to coast, and among even more out-groups, a recipe for following the former Yugoslavia's path to national non-existence, and/or a gestapo state in reality everywhere at all times, rather than just the occasional sneering escapade of the current experience.
And the people at the top of the page doing the looting and beating are her voter base.
Choose wisely, and make appropriate plans for all foreseeable outcomes.
From Fred On Everything:
It is a great mystery why the least productive thirteen percent of the country, the most dependent on welfare, the most criminal, should be permitted to steal, burn, rape, and beat those who behave in accordance with civilized standards. To shout “kill Whitey” while buying groceries with an EBT card, to expect to be taken care of, to get welfare and affirmative action while attacking the caretakers, does not suggest a crushing burden of mental acuity.I disagree with a good bit of what Fred writes. His ex-pat location in our narco-state neighbor due south doesn't help his case, frequently. But in this essay, he distills absolute clarity from amongst the chaos.
Handing people the coerced fruits of other people’s labor makes the recipients parties to theft, and it’s all downhill from there. Incentives for self-improvement are destroyed, dependency takes hold, self-respect vanishes, and social pathologies effloresce. The two dovetail nicely.

The Daily Outrage - Illegal Alien Catch & Release Documented
h/t to WRSA

This will end well. Not.
I predict a sudden uptick of border area residents helpfully adopting the shoot-shovel-shut up paradigm when dealing with all feral life forms, regardless of number of legs, or whether they speak Spanish, or wear federal badges.
And in case you didn't notice, when the federal government is importing tomorrow's angry third-world mobs to your city vanloads at a time, 24/7/365, you don't have nearly enough ammo.
Range cards prepared in advance for any number of likely spots wouldn't go amiss either.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is quietly transporting illegal immigrants from the Mexican border to Phoenix and releasing them without proper processing or issuing court appearance documents, Border Patrol sources tell Judicial Watch. The government classifies them as Other Than Mexican (OTM) and this week around 35 were transferred 116 miles north from Tucson to a Phoenix bus station where they went their separate way. Judicial Watch was present when one of the white vans carrying a group of OTMs arrived at the Phoenix Greyhound station on Buckeye Road.
The OTMs are from Honduras, Colombia, El Salvador and Guatemala and Border Patrol officials say this week’s batch was in custody for a couple of days and ordered to call family members in the U.S. so they could purchase a bus ticket for their upcoming trip from Phoenix. Authorities didn’t bother checking the identity of the U.S. relatives or if they’re in the country legally, according to a Border Patrol official directly involved in the matter. American taxpayers pick up the fare for those who claim to have a “credible fear,” Border Patrol sources told JW. None of the OTMs were issued official court appearance documents, but were told to “promise” they’d show up for a hearing when notified, said federal agents with firsthand knowledge of the operation.Your tax dollars at work, importing the felons non-government employee Americans won't import themselves.

What's Coming Next
So, over a few short months, I've gone from being one of the few talking about this (even on medical-related blogs, who should have known better) and way out ahead of the crowd, to being right first, to being just one of hundreds of sites and links, all tripping over the same stories (except for medical-related blogs, who should know better). The prospect of a horrible death apparently concentrates peoples' minds wonderfully. But at least people are paying attention now, which was the object of the exercise.
So the new question is, What next?
1) Ebola isn't going away in Africa anytime soon.
When I first started posting in forums, and then blogging the posts here, Ebola was at 1000 cases, and 600 or so deaths.
As of 1 October, it's nearly 7500 cases and 3500 deaths, and those are the "official" (i.e. total horseshit) numbers coming out of W. Africa, the most backwards, illiterate, corrupt hellhole on the planet nine years out of any ten, forever. The CDC was guesstimating the reality numbers may be 2.5 times higher. Only this week, Sierra Leone, whose numbers have been hanging fairly small since Liberia started driving the bus in this outbreak, announced 120+ deaths in one day. Those people didn't get sick and die overnight; they were clearly infected 3-5 weeks prior. And that one day jump took the death toll there beyond what it is in Liberia, with has 3-4 times as many infected victims. Conclusion: things there are 3-4 times higher and worse than official numbers, and probably the same for Guinea and Liberia as well.
2) Outside help isn't accomplishing anything fast enough, and likely never will.
As already noted, because there are 3000 more dead bodies (again, "officially"), and 4000 more sick patients, in countries that were more than 2000 beds short back in late September. And we've built exactly nothing since then. Supplies sit untouched on harbor docks, because the local kleptocrats haven't had their palms greased to let them in. And no one new has been trained to staff any imaginary new care centers even if we'd built so much as one. In fact, more doctors have been evacuated back to the countries of origin, infected with Ebola, even as the patient load doubles roughly every three weeks.
Therefore:
3) The people and governments are going to be more desperate, and closer to panic and collapse, rather than less so, over time.
Duncan took a powder, and lied his way through screenings, when Liberia had but 3000 total cases. It's past 4000 now. By the end of the month, they'll have 6000 cases, and likely 12,000 before Thanksgiving. Draw your own conclusions on how much calmer the populace will be then, and how much stronger and competent the respective governments will be.
Every day, more and more people there will realize the end position on this epidemic there, and they will rush the lifeboats: more frequently, and more desperately. And the so-called guardians at the ports of exit now are illiterate peasants baffled by the complexities of a drugstore thermometer, with a long and colorful history of taking care of those with the most cash, starting with themselves, when things get sporty. Everybody cheerfully assumes that Duncan only lied to get out; when in fact, the historical odds are, he also slipped somebody a Benjamin (or there, a sawbuck), and his "exit visa" was magically provided and approved.
That's how business is transacted at most borders at most times since forever.
4) Numbers One, Two, and Three, lead inexorably to Number Four: Duncan was merely the FIRST Ebola patient we'll be getting (as long as the jacktards in charge keep the pipeline open), rather than the LAST.
Duncan's problems are over, and even the 50 people in Dallas sweating bullets until the 20th aren't the major concern.
The problem is the next 1, or 5, or 20 Duncans who get off of planes in NYC, DC, Boston, Miami, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, etc. Not if, but when, exactly as the CDC told every hospital in the country two weeks before Duncan walked into Texas Health Presbyterian, and started the party.
Flight crews on commercial airplanes are no better trained nor equipped, the "screenings", there, here, or anywhere, will do little to catch infected people, and nothing at all to stop those like Duncan in the latent incubation stage of Ebola.
Like TSA screenings of your shoes and cavity searches for underwear bombs, it's kabuki theatre to simulate action, with no real effect.
Hospitals are mostly no better off, and will respond, each time, exactly as THP did: poorly, clumsily, and while endangering the health of everyone concerned.
Everybody has to burn their hand on the stove before they really get what "hot" means.
So our troubles aren't over on Oct. 20th, or whenever the last Duncan-related contact passes from quarantine isolation precautions. They've just begun, until the last patient anywhere in the world passes out of quarantine.
And that will be like earthquakes: Only until the next time.
5) All of this completely ignores the people who WANT to bring Ebola here.
Anybody willing to strap 40 pounds of Semtex and hardware parts to his chest, walk into a pizzeria or schoolyard, and be a not-so-smart bomb for Allah, will have no compunction whatsoever about deliberately infecting themselves with Ebola, waiting until they turn symptomatic, and then going for daily walks at malls, movie theatres, swap meets, shows, conventions, amusement parks, sports events, concerts, or just ride all day on a commuter train, and anything else they can manage, and lying about all their contacts and visits after they collapse, because 72 virgins. That's just how they roll.
The gist of the entire asinine "Ebola isn't that big a deal" mindset depends entirely on honest and accurate contact tracing from the infected. When those who bring it here don't give a damn about helping, and actually lie about their whereabouts, it's too late for some governmental jackass Inspector Clousseau to slap his forehead and exclaim "Aha! We never thought of that clever gambit!!" (But that they will anyways is a good reason to bring back the rack, thumbscrews, hot pincers, and burning at the stake as part of the government bonus negative reinforcement plan for that sort of official stupidity.)
6) One through Five inclusive lead to a high likelihood that somewhere, sometime, a city or larger locale will be stricken and overwhelmed by Ebola. Dallas could still get there if 5-10 of those contacts become symptomatic in rapid succession. The same would be true if a dozen or so cases cropped up anyplace. Imagine someone infecting 50-100 contacts, and then not conveniently calling the CDC to alert the Usual Suspects to get cracking. Like if they just sat in some little squalorous dive and quietly died, and nobody found them for a few days, by which point patients 2 through 20 all showed up with symptoms before anyone knew there was a Reference Patient. That city would be so far from screwed at that point it would be hard to see it from where they were. And it could be my town, or yours. Tracing 2000-10,000 contacts a week later is a total fantasy.
And don't even try selling me how the crack CDC/DHS/FEMA/.GOV juggernaut would leap into action to save the day.
They're the reason Duncan got here in the first place, and there's little the government ever does right, even on their best day. Anybody trying to sell you anything else is running for office, or lobbying for a government contract, either way, entirely at your expense.
If they do anything that helps, it will be secondarily, and accidentally, as a near-certainty.
7) YOYO: You're On You're Own.
You need to pay attention to the news, both to see what they're telling you, and what they're not. (The latter, as I've demonstrated on this blog lately, will always be the larger volume.) You need to make your own plan to take care of yourself, and your family/tribe/group if you have that. Ebola is not going to low-crawl up your driveway and butt-rape you in your sleep. (Somebody desperate for your belongings might, but you knew about that already, right? Right?) So you may, as a result of future outbreak(s), need to be able to come up with food, water, and other necessities of life (sanitation, power, heat, and so on) for an extended period of time. Three days gets you Jack, except a guarantee you're in a refugee camp on Day Four. Start with a month, absolute bare minimum. Work up in increments to six. (More than that still is better.) If you can't make another plan with that 6-month to Whatever cushion to do it in, you have bigger problems than Ebola. FYI, Ebola has been going on in W.Africa since last March, with no end in sight. Ponder what that could mean if you get caught inside a county or state quarantine here, next month or next year.
And for the love of anything holy, abandon any idea that you're going to stock up on hazmat suits, masks, goggles, gloves, etc. etc., as if you were going to daily venture out amidst the problem, or as if, in a quarantine, you being out on the street at all wouldn't be carte blanche for the local constables to throw a bag on you and put you in an Ebola Quarantine/Treatment Center, where if you didn't have it when you went in, circumstances would soon solve that problem for you.
Stay your ass home, period.
The only possible exception to that is if you have a relatively secluded place to go outside the big cities (As Remus says about weekly "Avoid crowds."), and you go there beforehand. Whether or when is up to you. Five days early is better than one hour too late, but it's entirely your decision. And you still have to provide yourself all the same necessities once you get there, just likelier in a much better starting position versus someone in a condo in Georgetown or Manhattan would be.
Read, think, plan, acquire. And STFU about it. You're not "hoarding", you're prudently preparing to not be part of the problem once there is one. Your fellow citizens in the EBT-card-toting Free Shit Army are the problem, and if they think you have something they want, they'll be your problem. Stay home, and keep your head down, and if there's an outbreak and local quarantine, stay in the house, read a book, and wait for it to burn itself out.
And please, sweet suffering Shiva, vote the current @$$clowns out of office. Not because of their party, but because they're idiots. We may be just exchanging @$$clowns, but no one could do a worse job than what we've got now, and there's always a chance it will help. You've got nothing to lose for trying. Government didn't create Ebola, they're just too incompetent to do the right things about it to not make it worse. Do what you can, where you are, with what you've got, so it doesn't get worse for you.
Government is all about selfishness. You be about self-preservation and self-reliance.
And I don't care if you're a rabid atheist: pray for a cure.

Welcome To My World
Ebola is here.
I told ya so. (Seven weeks ago.)
Nota bene he made it past the airport/airline screenings.
Then became symptomatic (i.e. contagious).
Which means everyone he contacted, hugged, kissed, shook hands with, worked next to, etc., has been exposed.
Then, after two days shedding virus like a cat shedding hair, he seeks medical treatment. Exposing all those people.
And GOT SENT HOME, because of course, he just had the flu, right?
Then went to the ER again, and exposed all those people too, plus everyone he saw after the first check-up, including the people who took him to the ER, and everybody between the hospital door and the isolation ward.
Of course, effective tonight, Dallas County and the contiguous counties are being put on a one-day shutdown quarantine, so they can find and escort all those potential infectees to a 21-day mandatory quarantine isolation ward.
And because it obviously isn't going to work, they're shutting off all flights to the US from Africa, if not everywhere.
What's that, you say?
They're NOT doing that?
And even though the CDC sent out a "Holy shit, it's coming!" memo two weeks ago, the hospital staff screening the guy weren't wearing hazmat suits, hoods, gloves, booties, goggles, and masks?
And neither is the staff at any other hospital in the country, not even the ones nearest to international airports?
Brilliant! That will end well.
I'm betting airline/airport and hospital sick calls tomorrow in DFW set a small record.
I took an indefinite leave of absence.
Good luck, and hope that fingers-in-their-ears-going-La!-La!-La! Strategy works out for the White House, the CDC, every hospital in the country, and you all.
Best wishes.
