"Heads On Pikes!"

 h/t OddJob

You simply cannot hate the media enough.

"Heads On Pikes!" should become a national rallying cry, and ground reality in 50 states and 7 territories, until they live in mortal terror of discovery from coast to coast. They should be stoned, tarred and feathered with actual scalding hot tar, beaten mercilessly, and on many occasions, simply hung where they are found without relent or remorse.

If anyone thinks the comments after the death of the United Healthcare CEO were icily harsh, imagine the accolades that would be heaped on the first guy to take out a Communist News Network anchor, or run the coven on The Spew over a cliff. "What is the frequency, Kenneth?" parties should become a daily event. The nightly news should start to look like interviews with American aviators shot down over Baghdad in 1991.

It couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch of visigoths, and they have done more to corrode the republic than any other group, in a feat that cries to the heavens for unrelenting justified retribution. At least when cows crap on everything, we get fertilizer. The only way to get fertilizer from the media is to grind them up and sprinkle their remains on the fields.

Challenge accepted.

Media Narrative On Fake Refugee Caravan Crumbles: Cue Plan J. Or K.

h/t 100% F'ed Up

So much for restless masses, yearning to breathe free.

This is merely the criminal elements of the Free Shit Army, coming to steal from Uncle Gringo, and being used as convenient photo op props by the MSM.

As posted by 100%:

Color me shocked.
Same photo op pic with obligatory prop mother-and-children, same story, channel to channel to channel.

And all 100% B.S.
This is media from the Gaza School of Fake Narrative, by way of Saddam's Baby Milk Factory nerve gas production facility. They teach middle school kids to spot this sort of propaganda as bullshit as early as the seventh grade, in schools worthy of the name.

Pity Jim Acosta or Don Lemon couldn't be there to get a few OC zingers in the face.

And BW for more thoughts:

Last words: the bucket of cold water from DHS Sec. Nielsen, to quell the media fever swamp nonsense:

“Given the activities of the last 24 hours at the San Ysidro Port of Entry, I want to provide an update on what occurred and attempt to dispel many of the rumors and much of the misinformation circulating.
“First, the violence we saw at the border was entirely predictable. This caravan, unlike previous caravans, had already entered #Mexico violently and attacked border police in two other countries. I refuse to believe that anyone honestly maintains that attacking law enforcement with rocks and projectiles is acceptable. It is shocking that I have to explain this, but officers can be seriously or fatally injured in such attacks. Self-defense isn’t debatable for most law-abiding Americans.
“Second, the caravan is far larger and more organized than previous ones. There are 8,500 caravan members in Tijuana and Mexicali. There are reports of additional caravans on their way.
“Third, the overwhelming majority of these individuals are not eligible for asylum in the United States under our laws. Historically, less than 10% of those who claim asylum from #Guatemala, #Honduras, and #ElSalvador are found eligible by a federal judge. 90% are not eligible. Most of these migrants are seeking jobs or to join family who are already in the U.S. They have all refused multiple opportunities to seek protection in Mexico or with the UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency. Seeking employment or family reunification are not grounds for asylum under our laws, or any international obligation. There are, however, legal ways to seek a job or to be reunited in the U.S.
“Fourth, the caravan members are predominately male. It appears in some cases that the limited number of women and children in the caravan are being used by the organizers as “human shields” when they confront law enforcement. They are being put at risk by the caravan organizers as we saw at the Mexico-Guatemala border. This is putting vulnerable people in harms way.
“Fifth, we cannot confirm the backgrounds and identities of all caravan members which possess a national security and public safety risk to our country. However, at this point we have confirmed that there are over 600 convicted criminals traveling with the caravan flow. This includes individuals known to law enforcement for assault, battery, drug crimes, burglary, rape, child abuse and more. This is serious. Additionally, Mexico has already arrested 100 caravan members for criminal violations in Mexico.
“Sixth, our Border Patrol agents and officers responded admirably and responsibly to the events on Sunday. It is a testament to their training and professionalism that no one was injured. The accepted use of nonlethal force (also used by the Obama Administration in 2013) prevented further injury to agents and a mass illegal rush across the border. We will not shy away from protecting our people. I ask parents to avoid violent caravan groups and refrain from attempts to illegally enter our country – these acts will put your children in danger.
“Seventh, I want to thank President Donald J. Trump again for the decision to send @DeptofDefense to the border to bolster our ports of entry and provide force protection for Customs and Border Protection. This decision likely prevented injuries to personnel and migrants or additional damage to property. Instead of “a political stunt,” as suggested by some, this was in fact the act of a leader concerned about the rule of law.
“Eighth, this Administration has been working nonstop to fix our immigration system to address the crisis at the border. We have proposed legislation and asked Congress to pass it. The President has repeatedly made clear what is needed to secure our border and negotiated in good faith. It is time for Congress to do its job. Absent Congressional action courts have misinterpreted existing laws and have made the job of law enforcement far more difficult. But the men and women of DHS will continue to do all we can to enforce the law and DHS and U.S. Department of State will continue negotiations with Mexico and our other partners in the region. We are optimistic that cross border collaboration can help make America, indeed the entire region, more secure.
“Finally, this Administration warned about the danger of the caravan. We predicted the violence we saw on Sunday. We prepared to address it with additional personnel and DOD deployments. We will continue to prepare for the next assault while looking for lasting solutions with Congress and our Mexican partners. As always, I want to thank those officers and agents in San Ysidro who, under tremendous strain, used professionalism and restraint to ensure that no one was injured as they were attacked themselves. I also thank DOD and our state & local law enforcement who were on scene to support our people.”
~ Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen

It's truly sad when such a remarkably forthright statement of obvious common sense from a public official is so jarringly alien to what we hear day in and day out from the loons on the boob tube and in the blathersphere, or from anyone in the last administration for the prior eight years reign of insanity.

QOTW

h/t Dianny

Well said. Quote of the Week.

CNN should try that, if only for the sheer novelty.

Sure, they'd have to fire about 110% of their on-air "talent" to do that, but that's the breaks, kids, and it isn't like there aren't 10,000 douchecanoes waiting in the wings to slide into those seats who could do even a marginally better job.

Strolling Through The Headlines

From Drudge today...

"24 sickened by unknown substance at Ohio prison..."
Um, that would be the food.

"Restaurants Increasingly Banning Diners For Using Cell Phones..."
About damned time. They should have the cooks come out and beat them with rolling pins. I'd eat at that place 5 nights/week.

"Jolt: 4.4 mag quake shakes SoCal..."
"Extremely violent..."
Only if you're a chihuahhua. It was more like a fat kid falling down upstairs.

"U.S. Open labeled 'sexist' after female golfer penalized for taking off shirt..."
Ratings soar. Invitations go out to Playboy Bunnies for the Pro-Am.
And BTW, she actually broke the rules, if that matters. And since the U.S. Open in question is Tennis, we're guessing it was a tennis player that was penalized. Just spitballing there.

"Dick's blames new gun policy for weak sales..."
When your name is your attitude, you're exactly right. Adam Smith FTW.

"Whooping cough making comeback..."
Totally unrelated to rampant illegal immigration; nothing to see here.

"Monthly cost of child care for one child in San Fran: $1,955..."
Unless that one child's last name is Hearst or Rockefeller, we're calling b.s on that.
Otherwise, we're moving to Frisco, and opening a day care center.
Looking forward to handing out rubber poop markers for hopscotch, to help the tykes deal with the real world.

Locusts Without Morals

h/t SiG

"Refugees don't walk down the middle of the highway, wearing orange safety vests.
And people fleeing the squalor of war-torn countries don't bring their babies in strollers,
nor are dressed like they're going to Disneyland for the day.
This was 100% stunt."

Silicon Graybeard has some thoughts about the rampant media manipulation behind the fake "refugee" caterpillar formerly shuffling towards Los Estados Unidos, before He Who Doesn't Buy Their BS pissed all over their parade.

He's also got some thoughts on the Usual Suspects funding and instigating this media circus horsesh*t. There's a reason they're the default Usual Suspects.

Translation quibble:
"Pueblo" is village or town. As in "Village Without Borders."
"People" would more precisely be "gente" (and it's pronounced "hen-tay").
"Pueblo" can be used, but it's a rather obscure version/translation.
That concludes today's Spanish lesson.

As for the rest, if Guatemala or Honduras was so oppressive, and borders were the problem, they'd stop in Chiapas, where the food, language, and culture is near-identical to the land they're supposedly "escaping". (Just like imaginary "refugees" from Syria {who were actually illegal immigrants from 50 other countries from Morocco to Mozambique to Indonesia that are not Syria, but I digress} would have stopped in Jordan, Lebanon, or Turkey, not gone on to Sweden or France or Germany, if this was about being a refugee.)

But they were headed here, because the Giant Suckling Teat of American Progressivism was wangling in the wind, beckoning them to come here, commit more crime, go on that public dole, and pump out anchor babies by the metric f**k-ton. Like they do. While supported by actual Americans working jobs and paying their taxes. Like they do.

The march should have been named Langostas Sin Moralidad.
"Locusts Without Morals".
That's all they ever are. And probably, all they'll ever be.

Borders are simply the national equivalent of locks on your doors and screens on your windows.
They keep pests and vermin out.

So does killing them.
Something the douchecanoes shuffling northward should bear in mind.

Heads Up: Liberal "Gotcha!" Project Targetting Gun Rights

h/t Kenny

Heads up, boys and girls:

Virginia – (via Ammoland.com) Last weekend, while doing what seemed to be a regular interview, I discovered that a movie is being made with the intent to discredit gun-rights leaders across the country.
No, this is not a joke, it is real and we need to get the word out to other gun-rights organizations, gun-rights leaders, and prominent firearms trainers across the country and we need to do this FAST.
Back in 2014, alleged Hollywood sexual predator Harvey Weinstein said he was going to make a movie “that would make the NRA wish they weren’t alive.” (All gun organizations are the NRA in his mind.) And he was dead serious. Michael Moore has been attempting to discredit gun owners and leaders for years by tricking people and using creative editing techniques to make them look foolish or idiotic.
Who’s behind this effort isn’t clear, but they are EXTREMELY WELL FUNDED PROFESSIONALS.

Think a Leftard version of the Veritas Project, by way of Borat.

As the 15-minute interview terminated, the interviewer asked me if I, as an English-speaking firearms trainer, would help him make a “gun safety” training video for children of various ages. This had to be the “kicker,” I thought.

I was right – it was a set up – and it was much worse than I could have imagined. If you’ve seen the 70’s movie, “The Sting,” it was much like that. It was a well-orchestrated, well-choreographed, psychological manipulation, with a production cast of at least 10 people, to slowly lead a person down the primrose path.
We went step-by-step with a ready, and seemingly logical, answer every time I balked at some crazy part of the training. They seemed to have thought of every thing that a person might question. All I can say is that these people were extremely good at deception and manipulation. And no matter how stupid the things the interviewer and I were doing (we were side-by-side the whole time), no one else cracked a smile or laughed once, and I was watching. The professional actors were keeping up the appearance that this was a serious project.
The end goal was to get the victim to make a “training film” teaching 3 and 4-year-olds how to shoot guns hidden in toy animals at “bad” people, to sing little songs and make gun noises during the training to make it “fun for children,” and even teach little kids how to shoot a rocket-propelled-grenade or a squad automatic weapon at an approaching suicide bomber vehicle!
It all sounds unbelievable. But everything was elaborately and expensively staged; every contingency planned for, with explanations that make unbelievable things seem plausible (fake documents and videos about how Israel handles security in their schools, for example). The interview moved along at a pace, designed not to give the “mark” time to reflect on where things are going. The craziness factor very gradually got more extreme, like cooking a frog by slowly heating up the water so he doesn’t realize what’s happening until it’s too late. It’s a con game, a sting, plain and simple.
I don’t know if they have other scenarios or they will use other company names to continue concealing their identity, but anyone doing an interview dealing with gun rights where they sense something odd should terminate that interview. Or, better, bring a recorder and tell the other party you are going to make your own recording of the interview. If they say “no,” then walk out. I am going to make that my own policy going forward to protect against any future fake interviews. BTW, they had me leave my cellphone in an office “because it might interfere with the recording devices,” but I think it was so I couldn’t take any photos of them or make any video or audio recordings on that phone.
I've worked in production for A-list movies and TV for over 20 years, kids. There's quite simply no way in hell a cellphone would "interfere with recording devices". On an average set, there are 100 cellphones within 50 feet of the camera and sound cart 24/7/365/forever.

There's an even more recockulous story of their gig in Comments at the post site:
The following article is what happened to me on the same day! I received the same letter from FFTV. Almost exact same scenario. Totally manipulated and forced under duress, despite my constant objections, into teaching toddlers how to kill terrorists. How? By training gun-totin’ toddlers to shoot guns disguised as “Puppy Pistol,” “Bunny gun,” Uzicorn (uzi gun inside a cute furry stuffed unicorn), and “Dino Gun, a .50 caliber full-auto. And…wait for it…RPGs…to “send terrorists to the moon.” All the while singing, “If you’re happy and you know it shoot your gun, bang, bang.” As presposterous as this sounds. It happened.

There's more at the link, incl. screenshots of their WhoIs lookup, their LLC filing papers shielded as a WY corporation, their business address maildrop at a UPS Store in West Hollywood, and multiple Craigslist posting trolling for crisis actors and marks. Their website is a twenty-minute nothingburger; it's pure front, for show, which reveals nothing, but pretends everything. Jeebus crispies, people, constructing this kind of cotton-candy fakery is what Hollyweird does.

The bio of the lawyer and law firm representing the real LLC and their fake production.

RTWT.
And pass the word on every pro-gun and 2A-friendly site you visit, and to any and all firearms trainers and spokesperson you know about.

These @$$holes have a bone to pick, and a serious dose of the red-@$$ with guns, the NRA, gun owners, and the whole crew of Trumpist MAGA Deplorables. So based on the info at the link, I don't doubt for a moment that somebody with deep pockets is ginning up a BS hit piece, exactly as described, and probably far worse.

They're in this furball on full 'burner, fangs all the way out.

Warn off the good guys, try to dox the bad guys, and let's burn these mofos down.

They need pro-gun suckers.

DON'T BE THAT GUY.
And FFS, remember:

THERE IS NO ONE IN THE MEDIA - NEWSPAPERS, RADIO, TV, DOCUMENTARY, WHATEVER - WHO IS YOUR FRIEND, UNLESS YOU KNOW THEM AND THEIR PUBLIC PRO-2A POSITION PERSONALLY, INTIMATELY, AND EXTENSIVELY.

Write that on your hand in laundry marker in case you forget.

O Give Me A F**king Break!

h/t Kenny

Baltimoron press liars are butthurt, with no idea what's going on:

(BALTIMORE)The University of Maryland Medical System is investigating an incident at its midtown campus in Baltimore in which a woman is seen on video outside the hospital wearing just a gown.
The video shows what looks like four security guards, one with a wheelchair, walking away from a bus stop outside the hospital on the outskirts of Mount Vernon. A woman is seen near the bus stop dressed in a gown and socks. Her belongings are packed in plastic bags that have also been placed at the bus stop.

Without any more information than they had before publishing, I give you the following:

Real answer, to a 99.9997% certainty:

Homeless troll with a cartload of her trash showed up at the ER looking for bed and breakfast indefinitely because it was cold outside, and the shelter would have made her get rid of her booze and dope first, no medical emergency existed, and then she refuses to leave when discharged, after wasting the staff's time and skipping out on $1K or more of medical care and testing to determine that she was only full of shit and lice.
She's in a patient gown (which is the only clean thing she's had on in a month) because her clothes, pried off her body by staff in hazmat suits, have become so matted, wet, sweaty, filthy, and vermin-infestedly disgusting even she doesn't want to put them back on, and are part of what's in all those plastic bags.

This only happens about daily to weekly in every ER I've worked in, going back a mere twenty years, especially from October to March.

And the fuckwits that complain about this kind of bullshit without knowing their asses from a hole in the ground can't figure out why they're still sitting their fat asses in my waiting room 6-8 hours later, because I can't get a fat troll like this to put on her clothes, gather her forty-seven shopping bags of shit, and GTFO so I can decon her room and see a real patient, until three security guards and two techs "help" her hit the bricks.

And if she had met the criteria for a mental health hold, the same assholes would be bitching that she was incarcerated against her will and her civil rights violated for keeping her in the hospital.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Simple answer: Open hunting season, and start shooting them on sight. If the assholes are going to bitch either way, at least get the satisfaction of solving the problem once and for all.

Thank your congress shitweasel for voting EMTALA into law.

Discharged?
She should be chained up in leg irons, and forced to shovel snow on the public roads to pay her bill and fine and cover the cost of green bologna sandwiches, in lieu of six months' jail time.

Also notable: no one's asking WTF her own family is in all this (because they intuitively know already they're a bunch of no-account shitbags too), but they're more than happy to portray the hospital, which did more for her than anyone has probably in forever, as the villains.

And fuck those giving this kind of shitheadedness "a voice". They deserve a bayonet right up the ass to the hilt, and then spun around a bit.

Journalist = Retard

h/t Cold Fury

Andrew Klavan ably dismembers the lamestream mediatards' narrative on Trump:
(PJ MEDIA) All of what I’ve seen of Fire and Fury so far seems more sound and fury, a tale told by an idiot, signifying nothing. Donald Trump was so ignorant he didn’t know who John Boehner was, Wolff writes. It took me a fifteen-second Google search to prove that wasn’t true. Trump had spoken about Boehner frequently. He played golf with the guy! It’s an important anecdote meant to tell us something about the president of the United States and it’s utterly false. What kind of writer — what kind of publisher — doesn’t check that stuff?
Or consider this description from Wolff’s self-promotion piece for Hollywood Reporter: “Everybody was painfully aware of the increasing pace of [Trump’s] repetitions. It used to be inside of 30 minutes he’d repeat, word-for-word and expression-for-expression, the same three stories — now it was within 10 minutes.”
We know this isn’t true. As recently as October, we saw Trump speak for 45 minutes off-the-cuff under press questioning. Over Christmas, he talked to the New York Times. He’s clearly all there. A big, outlandish character, no question, but no more outlandish than he was in the 1980s. Why should Wolff’s assertion get any sort of attention at all?
The nation’s journalists cover this obvious nonsense because otherwise, they’d have to enter what to them is uncharted territory: the truth.
We are watching our mainstream news media implode. They don’t just jump on any fake news that might make Trump look bad for the few moments before they’re forced to retract it. They’re now actually reporting their fantasies — fantasies in which Trump doesn’t keep making them look like the idiots they are.

Calling someone a "journalist" is now the only politically-correct way to publicly call someone a barking retard without offending actual retarded people.

They're all fake news.

That kid from Hans Christian Andersen, the one who pointed out that the emperor was naked?
He grew up to be Donald Trump.

Plague Hysteria Is Horsesh...er, Rose Fertilizer

I told you the preceding Crichton essay to tell you this one...

As some of my readers here have noted in recent comments in the last few weeks, the media keeps reporting on the "ZOMG Plague!" epidemic going on in Madagascar (famous previously mainly for being the setting of a couple of kids' cartoons). As I've noted in brief replies, it's not a thing. But the media under-played the near-apocalypse that was Ebola, and now they're way overplaying the yawner that is another African plague outbreak. Folks, the two don't cancel each other out, and average to decent journalism. In fact, the media has sucked ass both times, and I will now illuminate the point.

Premise: The Media Are Idiots, and they lie reflexively.

Case In Point:
Drudge, today has two links to the plague stories dribbling out.

This one, beyond retarded. Beyond even fucktarded.
Cringe-worthy and beyond-fucktarded money quote (the reason Drudge linked it):
Infection and immunity expert Dr. Matthew Avison, of University of Bristol, has revealed the outbreak in east Africa is likely to become more serious before the "crisis" ends.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online, Dr. Avison said because the disease is “extremely rare” it has been “resilient” to antibiotics.
“Because this disease is extremely rare, it doesn’t get exposed to antibiotics that often,” he said.
“That means it’s more resistant to antibiotics and the risk of death is higher.”
However, he said if antibiotics are handed out quickly then the disease “can still be treated”.
If Avison is indeed an "infection and immunity expert", he's been grievously misquoted. Or he's a raving lunatic jackass. There is no third option there.
And as we're talking Britistan, it could go either way.

Because the way it works is that diseases become resistant by too much exposure to antibiotics, particularly under-dosing, not by too little exposure. This is Microbiology 101 stuff, not trade secrets from Bayer Labs.

So the only reason antibiotics don't work is because no one did a Culture & Sensitivity test to see what kills this plague strain the best. Which is what everyone, even in Third World Madagascar, does. unless they're too broke, or morons.
(A C&S is where you grow the bacteria you're worried about on a petri dish in an incubator, and then, once it's thriving, drop little wafers of 2 to 12 antibiotics onto the dish in different spots to see what kills it at all, or kills it the best. It's something a C-student in high school can accomplish with minimal supervision.)

So, either the Star's ace reporter, Joshua Nebbish Nitwit Nevett, fucked the quote up by the numbers, because he never had so much as even high school biology, or else Dr. Avison fell on his head a lot as a baby, and got his doctorate the same place Dr. Jenny McCarthy learned about vaccines and autism. Put your chips where you like on that, but without more information, it's a straight 50/50 bet, IMHO.

Super bonus fucktardation moment, same article:
Scientists also believe the disease – which can kill in 24 hours – could become untreatable in the future if the virus mutates.
Boys and girls, if the plague virus mutated, it wouldn't be a epidemiological catastrophe, it would be a medical miracle - because Plague is caused by a bacterium, pictured at the top of the post, not by a virus. But the Star's resident halfwit doesn't know the difference between a bacteria and a virus, which is the difference between houses and houseflies. So if you can't get the basics of biology even remotely correct on the first pass, you're entirely untrustworthy and deserve to be the subject of ridicule for making retarded people look smart by comparison with reporters.

And then this one, doubling down on teh Stoopid.

A local news crew following one health worker in the stricken city heard doctors informing residents that the new strain of the disease “can kill in three hours”.
So, just to be clear, we're basing medical credibility on the recollection and medical grasp of the brighter lights of a local news crew, and hearsay given to people with a middle-school education, in a country where the median age is 19, where bare literacy hovers at 60%, and just getting to the 11th grade is considered to be a college degree.
(As Casey Stengel used to say, you could look it up.)

So no, plague - not even pneumonic plague - doesn't kill anyone "in three hours".
Nor even in 24 hours.
Even in a country where the concept of hours is probably lost on a population where 99% of them can't afford a wristwatch.

Even the bastion of scholarly scientific accuracy, Wikipedia, notes the following about pneumonic plague:
Symptoms include fever, headache, shortness of breath, chest pain, and cough. They typically start about three to seven days after exposure.
So, three hours...or did we mean to say 72-168 hours? One of these things is not like the other.

Oh, and that "resilient" plague strain?
Dr Avison said...old antibiotics developed decades ago can still cure the disease.
He said the problem is “access to those” antibiotics in countries with poor health infrastructure.
In other words, "Please ignore the ascientific frothing moonbat hysteria we clickbaited you here with in the previous paragraphs. We regret any inference that our raging journalistic stupidity might be confused with actual facts." - Sincerely, the Usual Gang Of Forty-IQ Clot-headed Mouthbreathing Idiots at The Star.

Oh, and a country where residents have an average income of under $1000 might have a wee bit of trouble shelling out $50 for a course of doxycycline? File that under "No shit, Sherlock!"

Something else that RoomTemp IQ Reporter at the Star forgot to mention is that in Madagascar (just like in Ebolaville, West Africa in 2014) the local custom of the geniuses there is to play with the dead bodies of infected victims. No, really. In Madagascar, they dance with them. Cheek to cheek. So as you ponder that, consider that the rhymes of "Ring around the rosie" was originally descriptive and commemorative of the Black Death as it toured throughout Europe in the 1300s, and not a children's playground rhyme.

Maybe you could update the Madagascar version to some Oingo Boingo:

For those of you inclined to panic or just over-prepare, a box of N100 respirator masks, a bottle of aquarium doxycycline, and a modicum of diligent personal research, will cost you under $100, and solve your plague problems, even if we start shipping infected Madagascar slum residents to both Disneyworld and the NYFC Subway by the 767-load tomorrow. It's that much of a non-problem in the First World.

And somebody should tell Drudge that the boobs on the Page 3 girls (in inches) are a higher number than the IQ of the reporters at The Star. As is generally true for any newspaper, anywhere, at any point in history.

Compare And Contrast

Look at the mass murder shooting yesterday in Texas, and contrast it with the previous one last month in Las Vegas.

In Vegas, 37 days later, there is still not one credible motive for the attack.
In Texas, in less than 37 hours, the motive(s) are plainly described. If anything, there are multiples of them, ranging from bitter rage at his ex and former in-laws, to atheism, to Leftist whacktardery, on and on ad infinitum.

In Vegas, there is no reason to conclude beyond a reasonable doubt that the guy tagged for it actually carried it out, because no one saw him do it.
In Texas, most of a church-full of people could tell you exactly who did it, and one of the people who saw him do it followed him with a rifle - after shooting him with said rifle - to the point when police finally arrived minutes later to take custody of the corpse.

In neither incident did the police do anything worthwhile in any way to deter, inhibit, nor end either shooting. Their sole contribution, as in 99.9% of shootings, is to unroll barrier tape, chalk outlines around bodies, and gather evidence and fill out reports for trials that will never happen. When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Not one of 30,000 gun laws did one single thing to prevent or even delay either shooting.
Nor would any 30,000 more accomplish anything better.

The notionally presumptive Vegas shooter broke no laws until he knocked out windows and opened fire.
The Texas shooter broke every law imaginable, being legally prohibited from even so much as possessing any firearm. Shocking Every Clueless Barking Leftard Moonbat  The Usual Suspects, a homicidal criminal breaks the law, exactly as the definition of the word "criminal" might imply to someone with an IQ greater than their shoe size. (Every politician with a (D) after your name, call your office...)

In both cases, those same Usual Suspects wasted not one moment before beginning their usual insane catcalls to punish everyone who didn't do either crime, by banning more guns (again!), whilst gleefully dancing in the still warm pools of the blood of the victims to do so. Every one of them, from Congressbitch Shitweasel Gabby Giffords, to the retinue of Hollywood misogynist pedophile- and rapist-enabling celebutards, should be castigated verbally and egged  - by the dozen, please - physically, until they grow a verbal filter sufficient to shut their pieholes, pretty much until the grave takes over the task for them when they die of natural causes. They are shitlords of the lowest order, and there is no amount of public shaming - up to activating their dental plans, in a need for new implants sort of way - that goes too far in shouting them down and howling them into silence.

In both cases, the media engages in knee-jerk around-the-clock non-stop coverage, but only to gin up their well-deserved flagging ratings, and to service their own anti-gun agenda, while contributing nothing but ass-gas to the discussion, and shunting 50 more important daily stories into the dustbin, stopping just short of tying strings to the bloody corpses and using them as marionettes on live TV.

In neither instance does anyone, on any side, think the problem is too few laws, nor too many guns.

Notably absent in both cases, as in the case of the New York Not-So-Smart-Bomb truck driver jihadist, is any call for rounding up the people culpable, killing them judicially and rapidly whenever possible, or cracking down in any way on the low-hanging fruit in any such instance, which is the B-team redshirts waiting in the wings. That crackdown should also preclude the inevitable next attempt for the Body Count Gold Medal the media is always itching to re-confer, with millions of dollars of free publicity given to oxygen-thieving jackholes who should by law have their names and likenesses stricken from all public discourse after 24 hours, and be otherwise expunged from history, on pain of punitive fines so huge and draconian as to give even professional football-playing felons and Silicon Valley tech wizards pause before breaking the taboo.
All further reference, by law and custom, should be to "Douchebag 20171105", et al, in perpetuity.

And the FCC should award licensing fees for broadcast permits at the commercial market rate per second of publicity for the aforementioned douchebags, starting with the eleventh such second of air time in any calendar year, as a penalty bonus for every TV and radio station in the country. Call it pay to play. When even NYFC and L.A. stations couldn't afford to glorify such visigoths by Day Two, they would, of necessity, return to covering the rest of the news, in short order.

There's even the bare possibility that they might recollect another loathsome subject, a world-class felon, who's caused more grief and anguish to more people, while breaking more laws than either shooting perpetrator, and who, by any reasonable standard, has accumulated a far higher body count than both of them combined:

Felonia von Pantsuit, Empress Shrillary I, Vagina Regina, First Lady of Crime

Instead, they'd rather give another 40 lashes to their favorite dead horse, Gun Control, while touting odds on another nag, Russian Collusion, (in the second race, on a muddy track) which 9 months later still hasn't managed to stumble out of the starting gate, no matter how hard the media minions of stupidity flog her flanks.

"Look mate, that nag wouldn't "VOOOM!" if you put 10,000 volts through it!"

Because when you've got a slam-dunk case against your ersatz Queen, the best thing for the media wing of America's Communist Party to do is wave their arms, chatter incantations, and try to blame crimes whose perpetrators are beyond human judgment on inanimate objects they don't like, owned by people who didn't do it.

NY Times: Stupid On Pretty Much Anything You Could Think Of

h/t Pirate's Cove

So apparently, the NYSlimes has decided to slam Pres. Trump for not wasting money on a silly-ass earthquake warning system.

Link
(Moonbatville) People cannot prevent earthquakes, but they can take steps to minimize the deaths and damage. Many more might have died in Mexico City this week had the country not invested in an early warning system that rang alarms just before the catastrophic earthquake struck. The United States, which has been slow to finish a similar system on the West Coast, can learn from Mexico’s example.(Discussion of what an early warning system can do)
The United States Geological Survey is building a warning system called ShakeAlert for California, Oregon and Washington. A prototype is up and running. But Congress has not appropriated the money to finish it. Officials say just 40 percent of the necessary field stations have been built so far. The Geological Survey says that it would cost $38 million to finish the system and $16 million a year to operate it. Congress appropriated just $10.2 million in the current fiscal year. (California and private foundations have also contributed money to the project over the years.)
As Pirate's Cove noted, it's not such a bright idea.

Why?

Let's do some maths, and since it's Saturday, I'll work it out for you.

P-waves radiate outward from an earthquake epicenter at 7 times the speed of sound in air (roughly 5300 MPH at sea level).
Love waves, the ground waves that do the actual damage, move outwards at a more sedate 700-1000 MPH.
IOW, in less than a minute, they've already arrived everywhere within 16 miles of the epicenter, or the nearest 860 square miles. In two minutes, the circle is 66 miles across, some 3400 square miles. Which is, for any foreseeable earthquake, the limit of anyone who cares, or needs warning.

Thus California, like everywhere else in the world, has a very precise earthquake warning system, and it costs zero dollars, with no annual maintenance fees:

If the ground shakes a lot, a dangerous earthquake is occurring.
If it doesn't shake so much, it's no big deal.

No warning system can secure more than a few seconds to perhaps a minute's notice faster than that, and anyplace with more warning will be so far away that the warning is useless.
And for a nominal optimum processing time of 15 seconds, anyone within 3 miles of the epicenter will never be warned before the ground is already shaking like a leaf in a hurricane.

Thus any warning system is a boondoggle, of a range from dubious to nil utility on its best day.

So the NYSlimes knows as much about earthquake physics as they do about anthropogenic global warming, or the lack thereof.

They are, in fact, idiots on a scale that should set off Stupidity Alerts - at seven times the speed of sound - every time they write about something.
Pretty much like every day for the last 50 years.

In other news, no federal funding has been allocated to erecting barriers to keep elephants out of the trees in NFYC's Central Park, and for just about exactly the same reason: it'd be epic dumbassery and a total waste of money.

The Slimes should go after that level of wanton governmental heartless cruelty and be on it like white on rice. At least, until they go back on their meds.

Fake News

Current wildfire map of Western US 2017

"Not newsworthy".
Because anthropogenic glo-bull warming fabulism, or something.

Apparently brushfires raging out of control because of lush, but dry forests being hit by lightning, like has happened on the North American continent for thousands of years since before there was anyone here to write it down, don't advance the bullshit narrative that catastrophe is all mankind's (or specifically, Pres. Trump's, personally) fault quite as much as cyclonic tropical windstorms that have lashed the North American continent for thousands of years since before there was anyone here to write it down.

Well-played, lying jackhole media (but I repeat myself).

ABCNNBCBS Wets Self, Threatens to Crap Pants Too

h/t WRSA

After between ten months and two years of non-stop unprecedented attacks on the president, and outright shilling for violence, a coup, and his assassination, the President paid them back, a little, in Phoenix yesterday, and the press, once again, is now losing its collective mind (metaphorical as "mind" and "media" in the same sentence may be). And what's running down Chris Matthews' leg (and a few thousand of his fellow communist colleagues') is far likelier to be feces than a tingling thrill.

Because, surprising no one, the education failure J-school grads can dish it out, but they can't take it.

From the relevant Breitbart article:

“That is dangerous rhetoric. It just is. It is dangerous. Something is going to happen,” a distraught CNN reporter Chris Cillizza said on-air. “You cannot vilify the Right like this. I know I’m a reporter, but you cannot do this with anyone and expect no consequences.”

Just kidding. Silly Cilliza didn't say quite that.
I took out “media” and inserted “Right”.
Funny how when their ox is likely to get gored, they start shitting themselves and whining for circumspection, responsibility, and accountability, something they have yet to display once in most people's living memory.

Sauce for the gander, @$$holes.

A couple of you traitorous anti-American m*****f*****s get the shit kicked out of you for what you are, and you might start acting like the virtuous impartial relayers of events you pretend to be, and whom you’re supposed to be.

In an apocryphal story from Soldier Of Fortune magazine back in the day, during a raging firefight between communist Sandinistas and pro-democracy Contras in El Salvador, some local reporters somehow got themselves trapped by the ebb and flow of the combat, right in the middle of the shooting match, between both sides.

They waved handkerchiefs and yelled out "Periodistas! No Fuego!" ("Journalists! Don't shoot!")

Whereupon, the combatants on both sides yelled back at them "Mentirosos!" (Liars!) and resumed the shooting both ways, with renewed gusto, and not a few rounds directed at the erstwhile Impartial Arbiters of Truth.

Journalistic ethics is an oxymoron, and has been since at least the 1950s.

It will continue to be be until the tally of their teeth on the ground gets to the point where self-preservation leads them to stop sitting on the scale, and actually tell the impartial truth.

Until then, “What is the frequency, Kenneth?” should become the order of the day.
At least in the media's head.

Or, you jackholes could, perhaps, start practicing impartial, y'know...journalism.
Just for the novelty, if nothing else.

Idiocracy From The Terminally Stupid

From the fishwrap of record in Los Angeles.

(Stupidville) Tesla and SpaceX chief  (and idiot savant - A.) Elon Musk has joined dozens of CEOs of artificial intelligence companies in signing an open letter urging the United Nations to ban the use of AI in weapons before the technology gets out of hand. The letter was published Monday — the same day the U.N.’s Group of Governmental Experts on Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems was to discuss ways to protect civilians from the misuse of automated weapons. That meeting, however, has been postponed until November.
“Lethal autonomous weapons threaten to become the third revolution in warfare,” read the letter, which was also signed by the chief executives of companies such as Cafe X Technologies (whichbuilt the autonomous baristsa) and PlusOne Robotics (whose robots automate manual labor). “Once this Pandora’s box is opened, it will be hard to close. Therefore we implore the High Contracting Parties to find a way to protect us all from these dangers.”
The letter’s sentiments echo those in another open letter that Musk — along with more than 3,000 AI and robotics researchers, plus others such as Stephen Hawking and Steve Wozniak — signed nearly two years ago. In the 2015 letter, the signatories warned of the dangers of artificial intelligence in weapons, which could be used in “assassinations, destabilizing nations, subduing populations and selectively killing a particular ethnic group.”
So let me get this straight: the guy whose business is something like 50+% dependent on government subsidies to keep its doors open, along with the guys whose products are replacing $15/hr dumbasses at coffee kiosks, and put dues-paying union assembly drones out on the street in the Rust Belt for going on forty years, don't want any of that government money going towards weapons that have been cutting edge since JFK's older brother died testing them in 1944, and have petitioned the world's champion toothless gasbags to help them put an end to what's been going on quite merrily since Leonardo daVinci (perhaps Musk has heard of him) was looking to make a fast buck off the ruling Medicis in Florence ca. 1480 or so. What an ignorant bunch of fuckwits.

This sort of mindless shrieking is Proof #10,043 in why Intelligence In One Narrow Field of Endeavor Does Not Confer Basic Intelligence In Anything Else.

One wonders what exactly Musk thinks Werner von Braun was up to in 1943 at Peenemunde, before we captured him and his toys, and set him to play over at NASA.

Musk, and his fellow-Flat Earthers, are about 70 years late (if not 6,000 years), and two functional synapses short, in trying to stuff toothpaste back into the tube nearly a century later.

Time fuzes on artillery shells became a thing back in 1800s, and as noted above Kennedy was killed in Operation Aphrodite, testing a radio-controlled B-24 heavy bomber loaded with explosives when it and they became so much heat and noise.

So despite Mssr. Musk and Co.'s sudden notice of misty historical realities, this march has been pronounced and inexorable since before the US Civil War. Them or anyone else getting worked up about it only now merely announces to the world that you slept through your grade-school history classes, and just woke up, now. Dumbfucks.

Lastly, covering this level of asinine moonbattery as if it were earth-shattering actual news is also why the selfsame fishwrap is the local town joke in "journalism" (and has been since the communist heirs of the Chandler clan ran it in the 1960s) just underwent yet another desk-clearing, to re-arrange deck chairs on the newspaper Titanic.

Fake News and manufactured outrage, on sale near you 24/7/365.
(While supplies last.)

Go catch a flick, Elon. It might explain things for you, and it's funny.

Even if, like your notice, it's a wee bit dated.
