Someone Needs To Tackle Trump - Seriously

h/t WRSA

Apologies for leaving it so long, but we've been laboriously explaining to anyone with the wits to think it through in comments elsewhere why Ukraine is far less about Ukraine, and far more about two things: US credibility internationally, and the survival of nuclear non-proliferation as a central national and international policy.

We haven't posted that opus here (yet) due to some personal issues, but before the week has ended, POTUS has just validated both our reasons, and underlined them with a scarlet red highlighter, and then lit off skyrockets in case anyone wasn't paying attention.

We'll get to why last week's debacle in the Oval Office with Zelensky wasn't the win for Trump and Vance the people on the left half of the IQ bell curve think it was, but the above screenshot from Vox, courtesy of WRSA, has just made all our arguments for us.

For Common Core grads, we protect Japan militarily because
A) we get bases there that make responding to problems in Korea easier, as well as for making overflights of anywhere in a fan from Siberia to Southeast Asia far more logistically simple, and
B) because the last time Japan was fully in charge of its own military, it took 14 years of war culminating in the only two planned releases of SPF 30,000 Canned Sunshine in world history, to date, to bring it to a close.

B) is the rather more important reason, and the most germane one starting in late 1945.
Y'see, there were a wee few nations who had seen what the Japanese could accomplish when they coupled zen-like concentration behind unstoppable industrialization, in service of a militaristic code of conduct that made the Spartans look like pussies.

The following nation-states might have a wee objection or two to Japan's military urges unbridled, purely on the basis of first-hand experience with them the last time around:

Russia
China (including - or also - Taiwan)
Mongolia
Korea (both halves)
The Philippines
Australia
New Zealand
Britain
France
India
Singapore
Vietnam
Indonesia
Brunei
Burma
uncounted (I'm frankly too damned lazy at the moment) South Pacific island-nations

Oh, and of course, US. Which handily means the U.S.

IOW, every nation in that hemisphere, a number not in it any longer, and no less than (counts fingers) seven nuclear powers. Which is every one there is except Israel and Pakistan. (So far.)

And hey, Japan doesn't depend on imports anymore, especially oil, like they did before 1940. O wait, that hasn't changed. And Japan isn't xenophobic, regarding other countries' citizenry as lesser mortals. O wait, that hasn't changed. And the Japanese have forgiven us for Hiroshima, and don't hold a grudge, having fully embraced the atrocities they committed and vowing to never, ever want to do anything like that again. O wait, that hasn't happened either, and they still suffer from the Japanese version of Waldheimer Syndrome, where they can't remember anything that happened before 1945. And consequently, Korea (both halves), China, and the Philippines' population doesn't hate Japan and anything Japanese. Except for their living pulsing guts. (Remarkably like Ukrainians feel about Russians, and for just about the exact same reasons, btw.)

So yeah, Mr. President, you go on and make Japan totally responsible for defending itself. Get them to throw us out of those bases, and then take the 0.2 seconds it'll take them to decide to change their national constitution, withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and then spend about 15 minutes that it'll take them to start building nuclear weapons.

China's getting frisky, Russia still hasn't settled a century-old dispute about islands to the north of Japan, and Crazy Kim keeps launching nuclear-capable missiles over their way, so they'd be crazy not to build nukes. And with their national ability, resources, and the will to do it, it'll take them probably until about lunchtime next Wednesday before they test one that works. (Maybe over Pyongyang, if they have a sense of humor.)

So now South Korea's going to want some too.
So is Taiwan.
And Singapore.
And Oz and the Kiwis will do some soul-searching. Odds are, Oz says yes, and the Kiwis wet their pants and start teaching Japanese in primary school, but I could be wrong there.
And all of them could probably accomplish a nuclear arsenal within the year.
Less if they find a willing seller.
The Philippines and Indonesia will want some too. Pakistan would be too glad to help them out, in exchange for the southern Philippines going Muslim separatist. (You can tell where worldwide Catholicism and Muslim expansion met by looking at the religion demographics of the various Philippine Islands. Hint: Our first clash with militant Islam was the Barbary pirates just after the dawn of the 1800s. The second was when we inherited the Philippine Islands from Spain after 1898.)
And, what the hell, what could go wrong with six new nuclear powers - seven, counting Japan - in the eastern Pacific, including two more nuclear Muslim or Muslim-leaning countries? Muslim countries always get along with everyone, amirite??

Sweetness and light, in exchange for Trump saving the US another $50 or so.
Genius.

Then Japan realizes that in many cases, their interests don't really align with US interests.
So now we've got China and Japan looking to challenge the U.S. geopolitically in the Eastern Pacific. Greaaaaaaaaaaaaat. BRILLIANT!

It's not like we ever fought a war with Japan over that sort of thing, right?

And then maybe those other nations decide we're probably going to drop them like a hot potato the minute it's expedient, just like we're looking to do with Ukraine now.

U.S.: "O No! Not you (South Korea/Taiwan/Philippines/Australia/New Zealand)! We'd never backstab you like we just did Ukraine! You're our special friends."

Them: "Sh'yeah, right, you lying sacks of American shit. Pull the other one; it's got bells on it. Go fuck yourselves, and get the hell out of our country while you're up."

Fucking Brilliant!!!!

We'll re-fight WWII in the Pacific with mostly the same players, because territorial and imperial ambitions haven't gone away, and neither have centuries-old squabbles, only this time, Oprah-like, "You get a nuke, You get a nuke...EVERYONE gets nukes!!!" Except this time, pretty much no one else is on our side, and all that trade Trump thinks will be happening will be divided amongst other nations, with other currencies, and we'll be hoping for table scraps. Imagine how much we'll save on a navy when we can't find willing buyers for anything we've got to sell anywhere beyond Honolulu.

Cue the Happy Dance!
Look what we'll save ourselves into.
That'll be so much cheaper in the long run than sucking it up, shutting up, and keeping Japan out of the militarism and nuclear weapon business.
Pretty much for the same reason we waited until an entire generation died in Germany to breed the urge to invade France out of those @$$holes.

And, while we're up, word to your mother: All the hardware we sold to Japan, the front-line stuff? Their versions aren't sales, they're made by Japan, under license.
What does that mean?
Well, please list the Japanese products - hardware and software - they didn't get from us, improve, turn around, and kick our asses with.
We'll wait.
Tell us whether Toyota or Chrysler makes better cars these days.
Tell us how many TVs we make here anymore (Common Core grads: that would be zero). Or video players. Or computers.
Hell, if it wasn't for Hollywood making the actual product, the entire movie business would be Japanese right now. With China bootlegging the content, and Japan, Korea, and Vietnam making the hardware, it's barely ours anymore anyhow.

So let's, by all means, do for the military in Japan what we've done for the electronics and automobile industries. What could possibly go wrong?

So for the love of Christ, somebody, ANYBODY, kindly tackle POTUS, sit him down in the Situation Room, and explain to him, with lots of pictures and a 2x4 if necessary, that not every government expenditure is better if we cut it completely, and that there are reasons for doing some of the things he never learned about before this week.

You want to talk about trimming US expenditures, and getting Japan to pony up a bit more, just like we wish NATO would do?

Okay, fine.

Just think long and hard about what happens if they say "Fuck you. You need us more than we need you."

Like they will.

And for those of you waaaaaay over on the left end of the IQ curve, who are still sounding out some of what we wrote, write this lesson on your hands with a Sharpie:

Nations do NOT have "friends".
They have INTERESTS.

Then, in the file folder marked "No Shit, Sherlock", put in an index card that notes that a friendly, allied, minimally militarized and totally non-nuclear armed Japan is in OURS.

If you need audio-visual aids, because reading is hard, or because everything that happened before you were born is lumped in with trench warfare, dinosaurs, and the Crusades, we can recommend a couple of dozen absolutely spiffy explanations to explain the finer points to you, courtesy of Warner Brothers, Universal, Columbia, Fox, Republic, and Paramount, etc. until the penny finally drops for you, or you can manage history books without pictures:

Then imagine doing it all over x10, except suddenly it all looks like the horror section of The Day After, playing on an endless loop.

Putting the "Anal" In Analysis

You are a NO GO at the Tall Enough
 For The Internet station, bumpkin.

If you're going to take a whack at derpsplaining things on the Internet that are clearly beyond your basic grasp, maybe - just spitballing, mind you - some folks should pull back on their heads first until they hear a loud popping noise, and it suddenly gets brighter and easier to breathe.

Case in point:

This soopergenius codswallop from some halfwit who knows Jack and Shit about what he opines upon.

"Crooks’ canted his rifle to the left — which means the ejection port was facing to the left at about an 11 o’clock position — for the first three shots."

For the three non-gun-inclined folks reading that, and thus not falling about themselves on the ground in paroxysms of laughter, we post a reminder pic of a typical AR-15-style weapon:

From this one pic, we can state authoritatively that this Internet Soopergenius has clearly cracked the case on how Rooftop Retard could miss anything as large as Trump from within Wrist-Rocket range:

That's because to "cant the rifle to the left" and get the ejection port to face 11 o'clock, Crooks would have to hold the rifle almost upside down.

Nice analysis, Dipshit.

(Unless he was holding the rifle assbackwards, and pointing it at himself. But were that the case, we don't think he'd have managed to fire 8 shots into himself, as the first one would have done the job it took the authorities several seconds to accomplish. So yeah, no, you're still an ignorant idiot for making this entire suggestion.)

Let's help Dr. Derpalot out, since he's obviously never fired anything resembling an AR-15/M-16 rifle in his life, and we'll use bright colors to point out reality:

So to eject cases to the left, by canting the rifle, Crooks would be holding that pistol grip at or beyond the 2 o'clock position, 2/3rds of the way (120° out of 180°) to completely inverted.

Odds that's what really happened: a gajillion to one, against. Duh. As GED dropouts in any ten basic training platoons could have told you in 0.2 seconds, going back only 50+ years to about 1966.

Maybe Dr. Derpalot should bone up on physics and common effing sense, not to mention basic riflery. Just a thought. In his dictionary, the word "beclowned" just has a mirror mounted in the column.

Just saying...

Don't quit your day job, Homer.

And maybe don't talk about things you're totally unfamiliar with, because then you won't be putting an ice pack on your wedding tackle every day, after you trample it with cleats on.

And if you're linking or excerpting this kind of ass-tastic analysis on your blog for anything but comedy relief, you probably need an ice pack for your own junk too, on a regular basis.

But thanks for a lay-up post for today. Those fish in the barrel weren't going to shoot themselves.

Blogging: Much easier if these are not your default footwear.

This Is Why Retards Won't Sign Their Memes

As found multiple places this past week or so:

Nota bene: Retards never sign their memes.
Like with this one.

Dear Lazy Common Core Grad and (probably actual racist) Ignorant Fucktwat:

We realize you probably graduated at the top of your pledge class with a D+ average, but to help your bankrupt fund of information, allow us to present:

George Washington Carver inventor, author and professor

Holder of three patents, author of 44 agricultural bulletins, including How To Grow The Peanut and 105 Ways Of Preparing It For Human Consumption, as well as bulletins that detailed how to rehabilitate the soil of Southern states overplanted with cotton, by rotating crops like sweet potatoes, cowpeas, alfalfa, wild plum, and tomatoes, as well as bulletins on cotton itself, raising poultry, hogs, dairying, ornamental plants, preserving meat in hot weather, and nature study in schools, while heading the Department of Agriculture at the Tuskegee Institute for 47 years, until his death in 1943. For his life, work, and contributions to agriculture, he was honored with degrees, museums, having his likeness on U.S. coinage, postage stamps, having a Liberty ship named after him, as well as numerous schools, parks, and plant species.

Charles R. Drew Physician, medical professor, medical pioneer and inventor

Did his doctoral thesis on extending the usefulness of collected blood, which research was applied to the collection of both plasma and whole blood, saving thousands of lives during WW II in both Britain and the U.S. First African-American to earn a Doctorate of Medical Science. Became the director of the first American Red Cross Blood Bank, pioneering the concept, and also inventing the bloodmobile, for mobile collection of blood products. Literally responsible for saving millions of lives worldwide from 1940-five minutes ago, ad infinitum.

Garrett Morgan Inventor

Invented the modern traffic signal, to prevent serious traffic accidents.

Patricia Bath  Physician and inventor

Holder of 5 patents, including the first laser that allowed for laser correction of cataracts.

Daniel Hale Williams Physician, surgeon, and medical pioneer

Performed the first successful open heart surgery, in 1893.

I hold no brief, nor apologize for innumerable Dindus and wastes of skin and oxygen on this continent going back to about 1610, whose sole contribution to America or life in general is countless coroner's cases, and a prodigious amount of FAFO medals and Darwin Award nominations. I am second to no one when it comes to pointing and laughing at their boundless Clowncarnucopia of Fail. Dogpile on them all you want. We do, every chance we get.

But to be wholly ignorant of the above examples, and any dozen or two more, is to pull one's own trousers down, and spank their own ass in public, for the whole world to see. We learned of the first three of those in grade school, long before woketarded PC became a thing, when Nixon was president, FFS! Crack a friggin' book!

Somebody wants to change the original fucktarded meme from black to Sub-Saharan African inventions and technological advancements, go ahead on.

But anybody posting the original, as found, ought to see to a tourniquet for their dicks, to staunch the blood flow caused by their own cleats.

Check yourself, before you wreck yourself. Word to your mother. We yell because we care.

Lying With Half-Truths

According to Miss Manners' etiquette guidelines, for a very small faux pas, you let the defaulter off with "Excuse me." For something like ripping a monstrous fart and shitting in their pants, you pretend it never happened, and avert your gaze. Which was why I didn't say anything about this particular pantload of stench soup until now.

By request, I took a look at this article.

Kirsch: The Single Most Important Interview I've Ever Done

Spoiler Alert: The title is spot-on. Most of what Kirsch does is a steaming pile of cow-plop, and this is definitely the biggest mound he's thus far compiled. Which doesn't recommend the rest of his efforts too highly either.

Request, because considering the source, I didn't bother prior, nor would have ever, as I expected it not to amount to anything anywhere close to what was claimed. This is because Steve Kirsch has been an outspoken loudmouth with dubious accuracy throughout the pandemic. Not that he lies outright, but he is, shall we say, "economical with the truth". By which I mean he lards on stupendous claims, with dubious association with actual reality, and even less documentation, and puts the truth on the lardball with a thin veneer of icing.

Consume at your own risk.

Occasionally, he stumbles over noteworthy facts, but generally, he's so busy Chicken Littling grandiose mountainous claims out of molehills of fact that he generally picks himself up after such accidental forays, and carries on with his originally-planned Chinese Fire Drill and self-dick-stomping party.

This recent load of mostly codswallop continues in that tradition.

Let's look no farther than his "Executive Summary":

Key points of the interview include:

  • Hospitals were actually empty when the press told us they were full.

  • 90% or more of the COVID deaths were actually caused by the treatment protocols dictated from above, not the virus. There were both early treatments as well as inpatient treatments available that reduced the COVID death rate by over 90%.

  • The COVID vaccines increased all-cause mortality in hospitals by up to 80% according to one ICU doctor I spoke to who worked in the same hospital as Gail and made meticulous notes on patient outcomes.

  • One of the potential reasons people believed that there was a “pandemic of the unvaccinated” is that the EMR systems were programmed to default all COVID cases to unvaccinated and nurses weren’t told how to change it.

  • After the vaccines rolled out for an age group is when the hospitals started seeing very unusual things they’ve never seen or rarely seen before for that age group.

  • Doctors are still afraid to speak out.

All of this arm-waving based entirely on purely anecdotal evidence from one nurse and one anonymous doctor.

Now let's go to the videotape, and get down to the rat-killing.

The nurse in question worked at the time at the Kaiser hospital in Santa Rosa, located in Sonoma County.

So let's do some background, to put her input in perspective.

1) Sonoma County is mostly rural wine country, with a density of 311 people per mi². (For reference, the population of San Francisco County, some 20 miles and two counties away, is 19,180 people per mi². Just a wee difference.)

The population there consequently trends above-average in income, compared to the state as a whole. Its population of around 450,000 ranks it 17th (of 58) among California counties, coming in at just about 1% of the state's population. The more populous 16 counties, for reference, comprise 84%. Santa Rosa ranks behind 27 bigger cities just in California, behind such urban hotspots as Oxnard, Elk Grove, and Rancho Cucamonga. Sonoma County is, IOW, about as representative of California as Hooterville and Pixley are, somewhere between the Shady Rest Hotel and the Douglas farmstead.

The county, looking at the Johns-Hopkins COVID dashboard, is also 75% white, and 95% medically insured, both hugely aberrational compared to Califrutopia numbers overall.  The J-H COVID dashboard also tallies a blisteringly small 119,546 total COVID cases in Sonoma County throughout the entire three-year period of pandemic, and only records 556 deaths, a fatality rate of 0.46% of those infected, or about 4 times worse than annual flu, and only half the fatality rate of the state overall, which was 0.83%. For comparison, Los Angeles County had a fatality rate of 0.96%, twice as high. In Sonoma County, 1 person in 1000 died. In L.A., it was 1 in 300.

The overall U.S. numbers are a COVID fatality rate of 1.1%, nearly three times as bad as Sonoma County, and a similar 1-in-300 death tally as Los Angeles experienced.

2) It gets better. Sonoma County in total boasts a grand total of 9 hospitals. (For reference, in Los Angeles County there are 80.) The Kaiser there is only a distant third place in size, with a modest 173 beds. If you live in BFEgypt, that may be impressive. In California, there are 111 hospitals smaller than that, and most of those are either in literal one-horse towns, or are surgical and specialty centers, not actual hospitals in the way you'd think of that term. Of the hospitals that claim more than 0 actual beds, the other 223 hospitals in the state are all bigger than the uber-small Kaiser in Santa Rosa.

3) Kaiser hospitals are unique in CA. Nine out of any ten of them have no ER, by design, because of EMTALA. This is because lacking an ER lets them turn away anyone who doesn't have Kaiser insurance, which avoidance of large swaths of homeless losers and indigent illegal aliens keeps the entire chain from going bankrupt. The Santa Rosa Kaiser is a rare exception, in that it's a Kaiser hospital with an ER, so they have to take anyone they get, regardless of insurance. In one of the smaller cities in the state, with a negligible homeless population, in a more affluent and more rural county.

4) Looking at the number of ICU stays, that hospital averages a crushing (not!) tally of 5 ICU patients on any given day. (For reference, 5 ICU patients/day is what my hospital routinely has stuck in just the ER, because the ICU is full 24/7/365.) And less than 20% of their patients there in the ER are ever serious or critical; over 80% are moderate or less, and fully half are basically urgent care patients too lazy to go to one, because urgent care asks for the payment up front. So that hospital isn't exactly being hammered under the horrendous load of critical patients.

5) She was a part-time employee, obviously with an axe to grind, who got fired by the hospital in question (which tiny tidbit is only revealed a third of the way into a 1 1/2 hr. interview!), who only worked MedSurg, which is the lowest acuity patients anywhere other than the ones we kick-da-fuq-out same-day, and wasn't even there 3x more than normal. So she's talking out her ass based on no critical care hands-on experience, and is only talking about things she only knows about second- and third-hand, from the only hospital in her county doing things that way, in a chain that routinely under-admits and over-discharges all patients to save $$, as seen by one fired part-time nurse, from Tinyville, in Whitebread County, working in Teeny Weeny General hospital, in a hospital seeing a few patients in the ICU per day, telling you "how it was" during COVID.

Okay.

So this is like getting the straight poop on what it was like in WWII from fighter pilot George Gobel.

As to the "Executive summary"?:

1) "The media" never reported "all hospitals are full". They reported that hospitals were being overwhelmed early on in New Orleans (true), then Atlanta (also true), followed by those in NYFC (true again). So Kirsch trying to conflate media reports from places where COVID was demonstrably blowing up, with "everywhere", is pure grade-A rose fertilizer, and he knows it, and Kirsch milks this line of bullshit for all it's worth.

Some places got hit hard. Sonoma County Kaiser was never one of them. Things didn't blow up in Califrutopia until after the early lockdowns were belatedly relaxed, <i>after Labor Day 2020</i>, and then the pandemic did what pandemics do, because people are idiots. But Hooterville in NorCal never saw any serious impact, because the population density there was closer to being Kansas than what most people think of when they hear "California".

2) There was unquestionably monkey-business regarding treatment options dictated by know-nothing idiots in D.C., especially regarding medication usage. But in point of fact, the only treatment protocols were discovered on-the-job. There were literally none at the outset, and doctors everywhere were doing medicine by Braille, feeling their way to what worked and what didn't, and passing the answers around in real time on blogs, Reddit substacks, e-mail and Bookface posts, etc. I watched that in real time, nightly, for months on end. Guesstimating the statistics with unpublished and unverified numbers and 20/20 hindsight is flatly asinine. On Day Zero, nobody, including Dr. Anonymous Sumdood, knew fuck-all about how to treat COVID, or how many were "killed by the protocols", and anyone who claims differently is full of more shit than a Christmas goose on the topic.

There's no argument that the CDC and FDA finger-banging doctor's decisions and monkey-wrenching on-the-spot trial administration of things like hydrochloroquine (HCQ) and Ivermectin should have been ended, with a flamethrower, on Day Two, and doctors told to practice medicine according to their own best judgement, and share their findings in real time, but the iron law is that bureaucrats never give up power, even when they kill people, and this was no exception.

Extrapolating that into "doctors and hospitals were under orders to kill people in secret" which is what Kirsch and Nurse Fullashit allege, is a steaming turd so monstrous it's usually only excreted by blue whales with diarrhea. And then she burps out mystery stats from out of her ass, from units she never worked on, and spins pure bullshit, anecdotal hearsay, and unsupported speculation, which Kirsch treats as gospel. Well-played. This is to actual information as is a bad call-in segment on voodoo and witchcraft on Coast To Coast with George Noory.

3) [Addendum for Common Core grads: Stupid people who aren't good at reading comprehension, PAY ATTENTION to this point] The Not-A-Vaxx examples were all disastrous, beyond any further discussion. An actual vaccine was highly unlikely, and we still don't have one to this day. What we got palmed off on us was a Franken-slurry of death, exactly as multiple vaccine researchers told people would happen, which government idiots (but I repeat myself) roundly ignored, in their ceaseless quest to "do something". None of this is further proven nor informed by unverified and anecdotal allegations. And no one wants to talk about it, nor research it properly, because the march of people with torches and pitchforks on TPTB would make Robespierre's Reign Of Terror with Madame Guillotine look like a church social by comparison.

And they still have it coming.

4) Newsflash, Hirsch: This was ALWAYS a pandemic of the unvaccinated. IT STILL IS.

a) Because for a solid year after the initial outbreak, you witless jackass, THERE WAS NOTHING PASSED OFF AS A VACCINE ANYWHERE. You could look it up, FFS.

 b) Because what was passed off after a year wasn't a vaccine either. EVERYBODY ON THE PLANET IS UNVACCINATED, you incredible dipshit. Millions to billions of people have been jabbed, some multiple times, but no one at anytime has EVER received an actual vaccine for COVID. Hirsch knows this too, but it doesn't serve his caterwauling screeds to admit what's obvious, even to Stevie Wonder, from space.

Total evidence for any of that truth contained in Kirsch's video: ZERO. Oopsie.

And while we're up, Shitforbrains, Epic is but one among at least 6-10 EMR systems used nationwide, it only accounts for about a quarter of the market, and you could fill entire encyclopedias with what features and procedures average users, let alone part-time flunkies like Nurse Fullashit, don't know how to do on it, or on any other one of them. (I've used 10 different systems since 2010; ask me how I know this to be true). This is like finding one flat Goodyear tire, and concluding thereby that all tires on all cars are defective. No points, and you're still full of shit.

5) And for the second time in this 6-point barrel of hogwash, we get the classic horse-and-chicken soup (at a ratio of "half and half" - one horse to one chicken) recipe of some truth, along with the bullshit. Yes, absolutely, the COVID Jab was the undeniable and proximate cause of metric fucktons of adverse reactions, more than all other actual vaccines combined in recorded history, including the novel diagnosis of Died Suddenly™. Yet again, this elephant in the room is visible from space with the naked eye.

But those torch-and-pitchfork-toting mobs aren't going to dissipate themselves if the obvious truth is revealed so soon.

6) Doctors are not "afraid to speak out". Hirsch himself and this pile of unsubstantiated speculation is proof of the opposite. Some doctors have been spineless chickenshits, like always with everyone. Some doctors have been forthright and courageous in whistle-blowing about this. That's how we know the military has crippled 1/4 of its total pilots, and injured for life unknown swaths of their entire ranks. The dam hasn't broken yet, but they can't stop the signal. You can never stop the signal.

But the message isn't served by half-baked, half-assed horseshit buffets like this load of drivel, missing only anything remotely resembling factual data. But Kirsch doesn't peddle data, he peddles clickbait and confirmation bias. As ever. He's the guy you most want to STFU, and stay off your side, if you're trying to get any respectability on the topic, but he tickles the bias of the Dumbshit Brigade, and for that, he'll have their undying loyalty.

The pandemic wasn't imaginary, and rank-and-file practitioners didn't kill people in lockstep obedience to idiots from on high.

But the country, collectively and individually, abandoned a healthy distrust of "Washington experts" (oxymoron alert) like Anthony Fauci, whose professional quack status we've decried, just on this blog, since only 2014.

The problem is, articles like this from Kirsch aren't much better, and they're nothing but a scientific laughingstock. This interview was the medical equivalent of Phil Donhue and Jerry Springer, but with even less credibility.

TL;DR Rating: If you thought this was a smoking gun, these aren't the droids you're looking for. Move along.

Let's try a slightly more accurate "executive summary" of this wagonload of cobblers:

Nurse who was fired from Kaiser for not getting The Jab, was only in the least acute section of the hospital, not the COVID ward, and only part-time, nonetheless managed to get COVID despite exposure protocols, who has no critical-care experience nor any direct hands-on patient care of critical patients, speaks out on things about which she has no direct knowledge, but brings metric fucktons of unsourced hearsay, wild assumptions, leaps of fantasy far beyond her scope of professional knowledge, experience, or practice, barrels of unsupported allegations, a total dearth of anything like data, documentation, or anything even vaguely resembling evidence, yet holds forth on everything she doesn't know, because feelz and butthurt.

This is sketchier than getting brain surgery advice from homeless meth-head schizophrenics living in cardboard boxes in an alley behind the liquor store. Or stopping at the White House to ask for directions from Emperor Poopypants.

Kirsch would have more credibility if he borrowed Biden's Christmas attire.

IOW, pretty much what Kirsch has been peddling since Day One.

His "Most Important Interview EVAR!" is the most fact-free eructation of pure bull-squeeze on the 'net since Biden's last press conference.

It's now four years along, kids. Can we please agree that unless you see Fauci and the CEOs of Pfizer, J&J, et al issue a mea culpa on national TV, culminating in them pulling pistols and performing a long-overdue auto-da-fé and act of contrition by suck-staring said pistols live, that anything less than that, from any source, is probably and overwhelmingly bullshit, from either side, only propagated to confirm your biases in either direction, utterly devoid of merit or facts, and thus merely clickbait that's entirely a waste of bandwidth and time to even lift the lid off the chamber pot to look at?

Please: STOP EATING OUT OF THE CHAMBER POT. IT'S NOT A PUDDING CUP.

COVID has mutated now to being just the annual flu. Rejoice in a healthy immune system, wash yer grubby mitts, stay your ass home when you're sick, and just get over it.

Or, like the Usual Suspects and Anonymous trolls, fulfill all my expectations, and come share your scorching butthurt at Kirsch's richly-deserved fisking in Comments. Our claws aren't going to sharpen themselves.

A Dose Of Stupidity

Case in point:

Poseidon Nuclear Torpedo: An underwater drone designed to carry a nuclear warhead, potentially causing radioactive tsunamis.

But! But! But I found it on the internet, so it has to be  true!

Point of Order for the Common Core grads on the Internet:

You can put a nuclear warhead on a torpedo. We figured that out 60-70 years ago.

Everything else in the above excerpt is horseshit of such a quantity that it cannot be measured with existing instrumentation. Except perhaps a truck scale.

To wit:

1) An underwater drone is going to be about as hard to find as a lit flashlight in a dark field at night for any first-world navy. Unless it's the size of a submarine. Which, cleverly, probably wouldn't be called a torpedo nor a drone. In which case it'll be as hard to find as a brass band carrying  lit flashlights in a dark field at night while playing the 1812 Overture. With artillery percussion.

2) A torpedo is going to have a range of a several miles. Like ten. Twenty maybe. Not, for instance, hundreds to thousands.

3) To cause a tsunami, it would have to be a very large warhead. Which, first of all, shoots range capabilities right in the ass.

4) Second, to actually cause a tsunami, it would have to go off deep. Like way down at the bottom of the ocean, to displace enough seawater to create a tsunami.

5) If you do that, the tsunami isn't going to be radioactive. The sea floor at the explosion site is. And all that heavier-than-water radioactivity is going to stay right down at the bottom of the ocean. Because of this thing called gravity. Stop me if you've heard of this concept. I have an inkling that the density of sea water, at about a ton per cubic yard, is going to tamp things down a wee bit too.

6) You can make radioactivity up near the top of the water column. Which is going to make radioactive fallout just like any other nuke. Most of which is going to fall right back down, downwind, but fairly close to the detonation site. Like with every other nuke on the planet since 1945. Because of this thing called gravity. Yet again, stop me if you've heard of this concept.

7) If you detonate it near the surface, you also aren't going to make any tsunami. And the only thing radioactive will be the airborne fallout cloud, not the wave that results.

8) Tsunamis travel hundreds and thousands of miles. Radioactivity in water from deep subsurface explosions is going to travel distances measured in yards, not miles, and probably not even reach the sea surface if it's deep enough. Bubbles, maybe, perhaps a small amount of radioactive gas. What it isn't going to do is send a wall of radioactive water rocketing hundreds of miles away. Don't believe me: Google the results of any of dozens of air-, surface-, and sub-surface nuclear tests prior to 1963, FFS. Much of the info has been in the public domain for decades.

9) You can make nuclear blasts that cause fallout. You can (theoretically) make nuclear blasts that case tsunamis. But you only get to pick one or the other. And they aren't likely to be either drones, or torpedoes.

Classically, the concept of tsunami-causing nuclear weapons was described in print in 1972 by Martin Caidin in When War Comes (brighter readers may know him as the guy who wrote the book Cyborg, which was the basis for the TV show The Six Million Dollar Man. He is thus no stranger to science fiction with a heavy dose of future realism, rather than science fantasy.) a well-thumbed hard-cover copy of which has sat on my shelf since the late 1970s.

In his version of the tsunami-causing nuclear blasts, he had Russia sink several cargo ships, with monster nuclear bombs the size of the hold of a cargo ship, sunk strategically off the US continental shelf, deploying long cable antennas, and awaiting the Doomsday detonation command off of, in his scenario IIRC, Seattle, Portland, Frisco, and L.A. To be used just-in-case.

So yet again, you can have torpedoes or drones, or you can have nuclear weapons large enough and deep enough to cause a tsunami. Pick one. Both is not an option. Even he knew this 50 years ago. We haven't made nuclear weapons that much smaller with the capabilities advertised in the excerpted stupidity above.

Physics is still a thing, and actual smart people have been studying on things like this for more than 50 years. When you slap-dash cobble together three or four mutually contradictory things in one sentence like they were real, it just tells us you know the flavor of the windows on the short bus. And/or spent more time listening to George Noori than working a slide rule or a TI calculator. Sorry if that's too on-the-nose.

Given the level of stupidity necessary to concoct that one pull quote, we're not even bothering to fisk the gaping flaws in the rest of that wagonload of horse cobblers. Caveat emptor: there is no recommended safe amount of bullshit in anything you're going to swallow from that piece. Insist on bullshit-free, for your own palate and self-respect, if not safety.

People pulling together Popular Science-levels of Russian vaporware, and endowing it with National Inquirer or Weekly World News-level scare quotes and mythical and epically stupid levels of science fantasy capabilities are simply pulling their underpants down on the internet, and waving their asses to everyone in sight.

Don't be That Guy.

Fireworks PSA

Every year, Common Core education takes its toll.

Pro tip: Nobody re-attaches leftover fingers. They just go straight into the incinerator. And the phantom pain in what's left of that hand is forever.

Oh, and we're fresh out of spare eyes, too.

Word to your mother.

Far Worse Than You Could Imagine

Jeezus H. Christ! There's rust on the BARREL of the CIWS, FFS!
Right outside the effing skipper's chair! He should be flogged with
electrical cord -plugs on- in front of the crew, daily, until he personally
has scraped off every flake by hand, hisownself! You could power
a CVN for the next two decades just from 20 generations of chiefs
at Arlington Cemetery spinning in their graves at this affront.

The other day, WRSA linked to a recent great read by Cdr Salamander, who's probably known to Pentagon brassholes as Cdr. Cassandra, on just exactly how f**ked up the US Navy has gotten.

Before you head over to RTWT (which you should do), hydrate.

Because you're either going to cry a river, or be vinegar-pissing mad, either of which is going to take a full tank.

TL;DR:

The Navy sucks ass right now, because going back to 2009 (perspicacious readers may note a specific change of administration that correlates with that timespan), all flag- and general-rank promotions were run through a filter of pre-woke communist civilian and military zampolits. Only ass-kissing toadies need apply. The current can't-sail-can't-shoot-can't fly-can't-fight genderfluid diversity Navy is how that plan worked out.

GIGO.

In short, when the only admirals the Squids promote are ass-kissing back-stabbing four-star fuck-ups, the entire Navy takes it in the neck. And. It. HAS.

Add a decade, and you get ships that should rightfully be re-named shits, because they all look like something that came out of a whale's alimentary canal, inside and out, and if the paint looks that bad, imagine what a shitshow the officers and crews are.

You can't even blame this on the blue-haired transgender enlisted, because the fault was letting them up the gangplank in the first place; everything else is just gravity working, plus time, and salt water. Both literal, and metaphorical.

There's a simple cure, in about three parts. Sadly, Cdr Salmander's once-wonderful comments seem to have gone away (we can guess why), so we offer our cure here.

1. Retire/Fire The Admirals

Fish rot from the head down. So does the Navy.

The US Navy currently has 232 admirals for 480 ships. That means that the Navy is about the smallest it's been since the Great Depression, which weakness was precisely what led Japan to cull the numbers of ships even lower one sunny Sunday morning in December. Yet we have nearly one admiral per two ships, and one admiral per 1000 enlisted men. In WWII, with the largest Navy in American history, there was one admiral for every 130 commissioned ships.

We should go back to this ratio immediately.

Congress - not the White House - should select the two best admirals from the pack, and retire the other 230 tomorrow. And CNO Goldbrick should be the first one out the door. The ship runs aground on your watch, and you own that. B'bye, Goldbrick. Followed in quick succession by the other 229 gold-braided @$$holes.

By just next payday, we'd have saved the Navy over $1M, and continue to do so every two weeks, forever.

That saved money should immediately be diverted to ship maintenance, which translates to $5K per ship, per month, forever. That buys a regular supply of Brasso, paint, swabs, and scrapers.

When they start looking like brand new factory-fresh ships again, we can split the budget into thirds, and use the other two thirds for training, and buying warfighting reserve stocks.

2. Retrain The Leadership

The CO, XO, all officers, and all chiefs on the above USS Rustbucket, and every similar-looking sistershit in every class, should immediately be relieved, reduced to E-1, not separated, but rather assigned to the Leading Petty Officers as cleaning detail help on the ships to which they were assigned, until further notice. They will now be working for the non-rates they formerly supervised. All ships to be cleaned by all hands, from keel to antenna mast around the clock until one could eat from the decks and drink from the bilge. Then drilled in basic job duties, including ship handling, seamanship, damage control, and warfighting tasks only 24/7/365, until there's a 480-way tie for the Excellence E.

Any task squeezed out by this should be assigned priority Z, meaning "not to ever be attended to unless peace breaks out, and the Navy is scrapped".

Some will notice this puts a large burden on the sailors already in the fleet. This is true, but there's a remedy.

Every EEOCEIEIO officer, chief, petty officer, and other enlisted person on every shore base will be similarly reduced to E-1 status, and assigned to commissioned ships, until further notice. Ditto for every no-load shore-based job that doesn't actually and directly support the mission of the deployed fleets and ships. The Pentagon's Navy wing, outside of training, repair, and maintenance commands, and actual warfighting staff functions, would become a ghost town.

Boo frickin' hoo.

Every six months, those former leaders to be assessed for suitability for higher rank, including the option to work their way - six months per step - back to their prior grade and rank. That means in three years, a good chief could rejoin the goatlocker. In five to eight, an officer could rejoin the wardroom, and maybe even make it back to the skipper's chair. The promotion boards shall consist of the petty officers of each ship, and their decisions to retain, promote, or separate, shall be final, and shall last until the Navy is back on an even keel, or the last officer or chief either gets back to where he was, or separates from the service.

3. Remotivate The Sailors

The blue-haired gender-confused Navy is gone, as of 0800 the next day. Everybody reverts to being a he or she, based on at-birth body parts, and just to help out the sisterhood, everyone gets the same bootcamp buzzcut.

They get judged on military appearance, including weight control and physical fitness, on a single standard physical test, with zero sex or age norms, and graded accordingly. Everybody gets as many months to meet the new standard as they have years in the Navy. Fatassed screwball is the new fatassed screwball. And Unsat is a one-way fastpass to civvie street.

The only other measurement is military proficiency, in general conduct as a sailor, and in their MOS and grade-specific duties. A shipboard fire doesn't give a damn what your pronouns are, and you can either swing a 4x4 into place and carry a hose pack down three ladders and kick a fire's ass, or you can't. You can either read a radar screen, maintain a missile, or cook 300 meals, or you can't. And if you can't, you can join the yacht club, in the ample spare time you'll have right after Uncle puts you back on the pier where you belong.

And for all those enlisted LPOs in the E-5 and E-6 grades who'll suddenly be running the ships, for real, 24/7/365, for the next 5-8 years, the opportunities for advancement will be spectacular. Some of them are going to become officers, warrant officers, and chiefs in a big hurry, and every ounce of talent discovered should be ruthlessly encouraged and promoted, from every quarter.

Any BMWing (Bitching, Moaning, and Whining) from ashore, active duty or civilian, about anything that happens afterwards, shall be referred to a committee of all the E-4s in the fleets, for speedy and permanent disposition. With internet communications and real-time polling, this is not only do-able, it's imperative. And if your E-4s can't collectively figure something out, they shouldn't be E-4s.

Do that, and you'll have the ass-kicking world-beating US Navy last seen about 1990, if not 1945, by Christmas.

Re-enlistment will hit 100%, and we'll have the fleet we paid for. And certain countries thinking they're the New Big Dog will be in for a rude awakening.

Do it not, and we may as well de-fund the Navy, and to save further time and effort, just send everyone in the U.S. free copies of Rosetta Stone Mandarin and Cantonese.

Some may think I'm too harsh on the sister service. On the contrary, a functional Navy is vital for US interests. Speaking as a former Marine, for naval gunfire support and amphibious transport, just for openers. Let alone the basic missions of carrier force projection, maintaining freedom of the seas by the surface fleet, and control of the shipping lanes and nuclear deterrence by the Silent Service.

We currently - and going back a decade and more - have a Navy full of Squids and Shitbirds. Starting at the E-ring in the Pentagon. Those at the bottom of the totem pole are that way precisely because of those at the top, whether by active sabotage, foolish encouragement, spineless apathy, or malign neglect and dereliction of duty. Period. Complicity should become a hanging-from-the-yardarm offense.

We need, and deserve, a Navy of sailors. History teaches harsh lessons to nations who fail to provide for their own defense, and we're dangerously close to the shoals of learning that lesson, in a Pearl Harbor sort of way. Hoping it doesn't happen is not a good plan.

Rather more drastic measures, just shy of actual guillotines, are needed. In haste.

If they don't work, I'm open to using actual guillotines, and keelhauling.

Ideally, before someone starts culling our fleets in the traditional geopolitical manner.

Same-Same (Graphic Warning)

Pay attention. Or, suture self.

Based on last night in the ER, this is still news to some people.

Most of them will be nicknamed "Lefty" from here on out.
