There is no idea so simple that government cannot bugger it up by the numbers. And no government bad idea was ever stopped by anything less than flamethrowers and beheadings. Well, okay. If they insist...
Not to defend anything this administration does, but I am not sure what I'm supposed to take from this. 70 weeks ago I didn't live in a state where people were willing to stay home and mask wearing was awfully hit and miss. Not much has changed but now I have to endure people saying masks and lockdowns didn't work, as though these things were actually tried, instead of haphazard- and half-heartedly tried. Did government overstep? Maybe. But a lot of John Q Public didn't really attempt to try and stop the spread, either. They were too busy accusing medical professionals of all being complicit in a vast conspiracy about a fake virus.
I don't know how things work where you are from, but here in Alberta, they locked us down pretty hard. I never even saw people out walking without a mask. Sure there were some who didn't fully abide, but you could not go into a public place without a mask. I personally think that the hand washing is a great idea
If only things had gone like that in Indiana... But no. The screaming and crying over wearing masks and staying home didn't get as bad here as it did in, oh, say, Michigan, but we had plenty of noncompliance here too. And having not actually tried enforcement of stay at home orders and masks, people are now claiming that masking up and staying home didn't work. It's like listening to a fool tell me thier birth control didn't prevent pregnancy while they left it thier nightstand instead of taking as prescribed.
And yes, hand washing is great. I wish more people would do it.
Not counting the news outlets or websites along the full range of accuracy and veracity, I follow multiple actual individuals' handwritten blogs. (Bot news aggregators don't thrill me.) Looking them over, many are current serving or former military and a couple are some variation of high-speed low-drag elite forces ninjas. Or just funny as all. Because life without humor is just despair. So in other words, the same folks I trusted in the military not to wet the bed, sh*t themselves, or otherwise run around like headless Nancys, are the same folks I trust on the interwebz, for demonstrating pretty much the same trustworthiness and circumspectly responsible behavior. Color me shocked.

ANONYMOUS UNSIGNED COMMENTS WILL BE AUTO-DELETED WITHOUT MERCY, and the url added to the spam filter, or mercilessly mocked at the bloghost's sole discretion. If you're too chickensh*t to come up with an alias for online purposes, you're not tall enough for this blog. Pick a name, and stick with it, and you're good. Get cute, and you're wasting your time and my electrons, and your masterpiece will never see the light of day. No warning shots will be fired. If you can't maintain decorum and polite behavior, I won't toy with you, I'll squash you. If one of your comments disappears, YOU f**ked up. If all of them do, it's time for you to go. My tolerance for skirting the line is at absolute zero, and will remain there. Don't f**k up.
