It's been a pretty sh*tty weekend. Occupational hazard.
Last night was about as bad, at least a 9 out of 10 on the Fugly Scale.
And tonight is the hat trick.

Ja. Weird. I walked into a code one night, and in the commotion, the only thing I could see was his feet. And I recognized them as a pt I'd had on the ICU the week prior. And they were that weird waxy yellow, and I knew it was all futile.
And it shall be called Monday
I understand. When I am having bad days, I remind myself; "As long as the check can be cashed........."
I have done enough in Pre-Hospital Care as well as inpatient work to have a SOLID understanding of "Emergency",
And THEN I went to work in IT and then, the first 2 or 3 "EMERGENCIES!!!" that I ran into in IT when I asked why it was an EMERGENCY since no one was dying people gave me funny looks.
They CLEARLY had NO CLUE about Real Life.

Yep. IT emergencies have everyone acting like the world will stop rotating around the sun. Nice thing is if you have the perspective, you appear to be the level headed, cool under pressure team member. Really you just understand reality. It's a little annoying but can be entertaining.
