Thomas Dolby's one-hit masterpiece from 1982, from an LP (yes, kids, you used to buy 10-12 songs all at once, instead of cherry-picking hits, and "digital" meant taking your hands and flipping through the albums on the rack), presciently titled The Golden Age Of Wireless. Just as fresh now as the day it was pressed.

Another fine choice.
I also liked his One Of Our Submarines. IIRC it was on the same album (I don't have it, friend did).
Although it did not get much airplay outside of some college alternative stations that I'm aware of, to me it proved the rule that the most interesting stuff on an album was usually not the piece or two that got the airplay or made the charts
Man! That brings back memories…
Second year of college. Dorm dances. Sweating in the dark to these crazy tunes. I think a few times the DJ rolled this song back-to-back for about 45 minutes. Then it was on to "The Safety Dance" by Men Without Hats, or something from Billy Idol.
We used to sit around thinking of goofy names for bands, but could never beat what was actually out there.
Ahhhh an MTV staple when MTV was a good thing.
Fauchi's theme song except missing the sheit he's throwing. Why can't the old days be back because these new ones are so far down the crazyness it's Alice in wonderland.
Don't forget his 'Dissidents' or 'Hyperactive'. Aliens Ate my Buick' was fun too...
