Much as I love their signature "Love Shack" track from the same album, I like this cut better:
because it was another Top Ten hit, taking them out of the one-hit wonder category forever, and it proved conclusively that "Love Shack" wasn't just a fluke.
And for a delightful and unique new wave band, it also passed the Dick Clark acid test: it had a beat, and you could dance to it.

I've liked the B-52's since their early Rock Lobster days.
Another fine choice sir.
Kate has such a strong, clear voice... I've always dug the B52s
Randy beat me to Rock Lobster . . .
Dance This Mess Around,Planet Claire, and Give Me Back My Man!!
Put on B-52’s and you’ll have instant dance party.
Great choice,as always.
Yeah the B-52's were a staple underground band to see live in the wonder years of 1980's Athens/Atlanta clubs. Someone already noted "Rock Lobster" but another good one is "Private Idaho".
