Helicopters In the Distance...

Background.

Because anything but an outbreak of liberty in Canada is horrendously bad optics; his government will not fall, it will collapse; and if you think the US southern border is too loose, wait until you see the insurgency that will develop in the Great White North through the totally undefended and unsecured northern border.

Crackdowns of any sort are liable to escalate into open conflict in short order, not to mention crippling the Canadian economy for years, if not decades.

Or, Turdoo could stop being an incompetent communist prick, surrender, and just slink away with his skin intact, and his country better off than it is now. The only blood in the water currently is his own.

That doesn't bespeak a lot of palatable options for him, but then he's the one that's been shooting his own toes off until he got to this place, hasn't he?

Bonus Round: And if US authorities decide to go all Waco over here, they could trigger the exact same problem. On steroids and crack.

Hint to the USSS: A rational assessment notes that those concrete WH and Capitol barricades aren't much of a hindrance to the guys who drive the equipment that put them in place. Just saying. Y'all should check your hole cards carefully. Things could go pear-shaped in an awful hurry if the stupidity thus far isn't reined in, like your idiot leash-holders have shown no sign of doing since ever.

And now, an appropriate air:

The crackdown has begun. Trudeau thinks he's being clever by having Ontario Premier Ford institute it, so if it all goes pear shaped, he can say he had nothing to do with it.

The turd has doubled down and now dougy ford the premiere of ontario has declared a state of emergency and threatened to seize rigs, fine people 100k for protesting and take away both their commercial and private drivers licenses. Its now illegal to protest in ontario.

People who have their livlihoods threatened will tespond very poorly to this.

In Alberta the coutts crossing protesters have rcmp trying to block citizens from bringing them supplies.

Its about to get very spicey around here.

Turdeau just gave a speech, demanding the protestors leave. He said if they don't go home they will loose rights, they will loose licenses, loose the right to travel, loose the ability to have jobe and that they will take their children into protective custody.

He went on and on about the violence they expect the protestors to engage in.

Have you followed the recent protests in NZ? Ahern sent her storm troop police out to brutally arrest protesters, breaking many arms, collarbones, and sternums in the process. I haven't heard of any deaths yet, but I'm sure they'll happen soon.
I doubt Canada will go that route, primarily due to the sheer number of protesters...

May I recommend some Edith Piaff? "Ca ira" for Sunday?

The Mounties do bring back memories of Cossack charges against uncooperative citizens. How do you say, "Ve vas onle followink orders", in colonial semi-French? Did they recruit from the same (cess-)pool as Nancy's "flying monkeys"?

Ford's late brother Rob was literally a crack addict when mayor of Toronto. Dead serious.

If I declare a personal state of emergency, can I do whatever I want?

Asking for a friend.

So what if the Trudeau gov collapses? His masters have plenty of replacements for him. The protest looks like fun and everything, but there is no win condition for us, as they assume we can still vote our way out of this. New gov will look just like the old gov, but might pretend to be freedom lovers till things cool down.

@Zorost,

You're overlooking the obvious:
Crackdown on the truckers? It is to laugh.
They'll then deliver fuel, food, and Everything...how, exactly?
Show all work.

And the remnants simply go home, and stay there.
"Cracking down" is Turdoo saying, "I'm going to hold my breath until you turn blue!"
When your enemy has the gun to his own head, and threatens to pull the trigger, let him do it.

I didn't realize that Canada had a Blue-City-Red-Country like we do. I thought that they were French v English v Cowboy. Good to know.

From time to time evil people in power need to be stood up against the wall, dropped from helicopters or used to chum the waters while fishing. That hasn't happened much lately....and like most people with short memories the criminals in power think it WON'T happen to them. So until it DOES start happening they have no reason or incentive to reconsider their agenda or actions.

He will go down in history, but in the really, really bad way.
