Episode III V IX We've honestly lost count
The World's Foremost Expert on Everything, who has assured all and sundry for years that hobby drones can't lift worthwhile explosive payloads, takes it in the pants again, this time on Miguel's Gun Free Zone blog, with a post about the Hobby Lobby Air Force. RTWT.
We were not only assured by that same expert that not only is what you'll see there UNPOSSIBLE! ELEVENTY!, but that furthermore, no one of nefarious bent will ever take this lesson, and bootstrap it to delivery of payloads to our comparatively rather peaceful environs. Sleep tight, America.

Mexican cartels have been using drones for the delivery of explosives for some time now.
Dang. I was hoping for a minute there Hobby Lobby actually had an air force. Would certainly trust them over the USAF anymore.

Anybody can do a tiny weapon suitable for killing a few soldiers. A 30 mm frag grenade isn't the tank killer Big Country was describing.
Accuracy isn't exactly a major point in this toy drone "weapon system" you're crowing about. Happily, that grenade has a fragmentation radius of around 7 meters so maybe useful.
RPG with printed fins replacing the unneeded propellant like Big Country was talking about OR a 82 mm Mortar round is quite different than your cheesy LOOK AT ME SO SMART "see ya CAN do a remote weapon" on a hobby drone.

No you cannot do it today, maybe not tomorrow, but Man will find away.

You're missing the point.
This isn't the earlier AT grenade set-up described elsewhere, it's another one, completely, and the WFEE assured everyone that nobody could do this, because no hobby drone could ever do this, so once again, we can believe him - or our lying eyes. This is (really, I've lost track) the eighth or tenth example from Reality showing him for the buffoon he is, again and again and again. It's not the mistake, it's the enormity of wrongness he brings to just about anything, from a failure of understanding about both simple physics, and human nature, and a demonstrated lack of expertise about the very topic he proclaimed himself a subject-matter expert.
It's readily apparent that in weaponizing drones, the Ukes' necessity is the mother of invention, and Blowhard's ignorance and hubris is the Fountain of Error. Pretty much like we told him at the time. This is just counting coup on Teh Stupid. Yet again.
Accuracy: Minute of casualty. Good enough. There are similar videos showing them dropping one like this on a guy's head. When a grenade blows your head off, it's as accurate as it needs to be. As that dead guy on the ground in this video could attest, if you could only resurrect him to testify. The other 10-15 guys had at least one wounded and crawling away, and another dozen in great need of clean underwear.

Congratulations on your level of patience or tolerance of moron inflicted pain. I've largely given up trying to reason with dolts and snowflakes who are convinced that Put-On is playing 13-D chess, and/or is the last defender of western civilization. It is impossible to reason with them, and I've gotten to the point that I no longer read certain blogs that I used to enjoy a lot.
At times, I think the level of fantasy thinking these people are engaged in make the premises of the fantasy games whose figures I (obsessively) collect look normal, and these are alleged adults.
As you and others have said, Necessity Is the Mother(Fu@ker) of Invention. There's a lot of people with time, weird ideas, and an internet connection, and I suspect that a lot of these people are collaborating to help the Ukes.
A 17 year old gal who thinks she's in love with some controlling jerk has put more thought, logic, and reason into her relationship than most Putin simps.
I would be interested to see how the fuse on that grenade was modified. I worked on manufacturing similar mechanical fuzes for US rounds that required a sequence of events to arm - typically, set-back force and spin imparted by accelerating down a rifles barrel - then a short delay to ensure it wouldn’t blow up in your face. Defeating those would still leave it relatively safe to handle since it would need a fairly solid blow, nose-on, to initiate.
Of course, we’re talking Russians so they might not have included so many safeties in the design. Is grenade - is not safe.

I read recently a short blog article of hobbyist in Ukraine who build special copters (out of standard parts) for the heavier grenades. They still had quite limited range but apparently they were used by special small raider units to disrupt logistics. I have seen some short videos where the first drop missed, a bit of adjustment and the second was spot on.
I too would be interested about the fusing as normal fuses would not work at all. Might be that they strip all the safeguards off and then handle them very carefully.
I suspect he was only looking at commercial drones that you can obtain without massive background checks and clearances. Which starts at anything over a half pound.
At the plant, we had a special maintenance need and found someone through FAA with those certifications who had a drone with a payload of 66#. He said it cost about the same as a Tesla. Obviously if you can hang 10 or so M252 rounds from it, that's going to be a big deal.
I have no doubt the Ukrainian govt can authorize itself to get some of those.

the 2 types of rounds I've seen so far were RPG rocketa with the booster removed, and 30mm grenades from the AGS-17. both have a simple impact fuse.
the RPG has a cap that goes over the fuse, and people are trained not to remove it until they are just about to fire..but there is always some dumbass who takes the cap off and then trips and blows themselves to hell.
the 30mm grenades used to have a problem of hitting a feed ramp inside the AGS-17 and exploding if the feed belt is even the slightest bit torqued. I've heard this was fixed, but who knows.
Well, that’s disturbing. I guess it’s the latter approach - meh - they’re just conscripted peasants.
