Drives me crazy. People believe it has to be either one thing, or the other. Not necessarily. Sometimes it's both. Sometimes it's five things, or a thousand.

As a lapsed Christian, I am amazed by the uber-Christians who believe that Putin is the Last Defender of the Cross, and/or support the idea that using tactical nukes to destroy Ukrainian cities is something that Jesus would do.
My wife, whose faith is much stronger, is livid with these people as an abomination.
We're both USAF vets, and neither of us wants US involvement in that war. But we support the Ukrainians against Putin, not that anyone cares what we think.
Of course Vladimir Putin is a dictator. He's the leader of Russia, after all, and they will accept no less.

The claim that he's pro Russian family kinda falls flat when one considers he's using badly equipped and poorly trained Russian young people as cannon fodder, because he and his buddies skimmed all the defense budget for superyachts and villas on the Rivera.
How many of those conscripts have dads that wasted their youth in Afghanistan, and might be a bit bitter about that?
