Sunday Music: FM

Steely Dan's title theme to the movie charted Top 40 for about two months in 1978, but it's the kind of background music you could leave on repeat all night long. I know, because I wore out at least one 45 (Millenials: google it) doing just that.

Any Steely Dan is Good Steely Dan.

Another set of great memories. I had the soundtrack on cassette. It was like a KTE tape except with good music.

(two more words for millennials to Google!)

FM is one of my favorite songs from the late 70's. This song fits the zeitgeist of the late 70's perfectly.

No static at all.

Now mind you I didn't listen to this with cans on but with casual listening I don't think I could've done better and I was seen as being pretty damn good with a single edged blade once upon a time. Nice job.

This is actually part 2 of my comment please dump it after you read it. I do understand you didn't dump this onto a stereo 351 at 15 ips and slice & dice. I've used digital editing and know that it can be much easier with practice than physical but a nice edit is still a nice edit

Yep, great song. Saw The Dan live shortly after Becker's passing. My grown kids went along and could not believe how good Don Fagan was/is. My son is an accomplished drummer and often tells me I grew up in the golden age of music. I tend to agree. My kids have seen Chicago and the Doobies live with us a number of times and were simply blown away at the quality of those bands.
