Who Knew?

"But if anyone did something, they'd just send a maintenance tech or branch flunky to clean it out, and they'd be back up in a couple of hours..."

Really? Riddle me this:

Would said branch flunkie or maintenance tech gain access to the ATM innards they would supposedly clean with a key, inserted into a lock?

Does Homeless Depot not also sell squirt tubes of epoxy and cyanoacrylate Krazy Glue...?

Asking for a friend.

I further remind all and sundry of the experiment in policing where the authorities in Rome attempted to curb Italian drivers' casual acquaintance with traffic laws by installing hundreds of traffic nannycams all over the city.

And within 3 days, God bless 'em all, the good Italian citizens stole or disabled every single camera.

High tech problems frequently have low tech solutions.

Just saying.

Well the label of monkeywrenching is certainly apropos. It gets a bit more complicated to consider the opsec of cameras recording every approach to said ATM's. Can you disable all of them? The ones 15' up on the ceiling? Yeah, wasp/hornet spray is good for 25', but I don't know of any other spray or paint that'll reach them. An additional opsec item is to not have a gummint tracking device (aka cellphone) anywhere near the operation. Will the approach be made in a vehicle that cannot be tracked to you? Suddenly it's not quite as simple as we'd like the fantasy exercise to be. Fun to think about though.

speaking of cams. There's probably at least one CCTV cam pointed at the ATM. Just sayin'

Anyone thinking of doing anything nonconformist, for whom the presence of cameras is either news, or a hindrance, is not tall enough for that ride.

OTOH, anyone who happens to make camera-worthy cardboard mockups of the license plates of the local mayor, chief of police, or congressweasel, in a car of the correct make and model, gets bonus points. Anyone who leaves the empty cans of sprayfoam and epoxy in the dumpster behind said official's office goes to de facto "community organizer" status. If you can leave the evidence in the trashcan of the local BLM/Antifatards, and successfully plant an anonymous tip, you go straight to district commander of the Resistance.

I hear.

Interested parties shouldn't overlook the option of approaching on foot, nor on bicycle.

And with TPTB mobilizing the entire Statsi to Round Up The Usual Suspects for a measley 200 Capitol partygoers, imagine their effectiveness with 16K ATMs.

Hilarity ensues.

I just hope the 'interested parties' you are speaking of stay safe from kung flu and wear their masks at all times.

Antifa has given us all the gift of a readily identifiable uniform for OPFOR.

Use it.

Alternate plan B of spray foam: Fence Post Foam.

Pours in as a liquid (takes less time to apply), expands as a foam, hardens like concrete.

I have to say, I do like the way you think. Hypothetically, of course.
And of course, only as an intellectual exercise.

And face masks. You can order custom face masks on Etsy and elsewhere with whatever face you send them a picture of. Some of them may be good enough to fool facial recognition or at least throw it off. I mean, hell, who would have ever thought it would be OK to wear a face mask into a bank? But here we are and we might as well take advantage of the situation.

Night Driver I read your link. There was a line in there something about the Law of "Unintended Consequences". Seems like there was a book about that. Thanks for the link.

Given all the recent "In your Face" Gov.com actions to trigger us to react, is BOA's very Public "Spying" is intended to trigger some backlash?

Pelosi has been vocal about the "Public Health Hazards of Paper Money" you know we've GONNA DIE from a 98% survival rate virus and has been pushing for a Cashless EVERYBODY Banked System. NO CASH, What an awesome way to "Capture" EVERY Transaction for Taxes and Intelligence eh?

No Aesop I'm not dissing COVID Mk1 or the Mk2,3, and now seems 4 Bioweapon that's been released by our sweet and trustable 3 letter agencies. But it seems WELL Designed WITH enough Media support to be a control weapon that with a simple SHUT UP from the Government it "Disappears" like Ebola did.

Double Up on your Masks folks, Dr Nazi and the CDC say so... ONE well worn mask and basic handwashing to keep the nasty from your eyes-nose and mouth has worked since the Germ Theory was published.
