Sunday Music: Love Plus One

We thought we'd put this one up ages ago. But apparently, we missed one of our fave one hit wonders from the Eighties, Haircut 100, and their only Top 40 cut. Until now. Welcome back to 1982.

R.I.P. Sidney Poitier

Among the greatest character intros in film history.
Poitier already had an Oscar; Steiger earned his for this role.

Sidney Poitier, one of the most monumentally talented film actors of all time, and winner of multiple awards and honors (from back when they meant something), dead at 94, of natural causes, at his home in the Bahamas. Not a bad life for a kid from Miami, from when drinking fountains were still labeled "White" and "Colored".

Let Me Know When The Penny Drops

January 6th

Anybody who was wondering if I had anything to contribute about the panty raid a year ago, fuggedaboudit. The miscreants who entered (a fraction of those present) should have been fined the amount necessary to repair any actual damages, made to pick up garbage on the Capitol grounds for a week, and gotten a stern finger-waving.

Anything beyond that is simply adding yeast to a paddock of bull droppings, and baking a huge Bullshit Cake.

Any further commentary worthy of the topic of this non-event may be obtained by visiting Mr. Taggart's campfire during Blazing Saddles, and having a plate or two of his excellent beans. Which not only covers the entire subject succinctly, it summarizes everything you're going to hear about the event today from the liberal propagandists, on nearly every channel.

The Federalist Beclowns Itself

Masktardation is a thing, and it cuts both ways.
Don't be a masktard.

Some blogs, even ones which we visit and pass along content here, apparently either desperate for content, and/or overcome by pathological levels of confirmation bias, go dredging old news to come up with that content. (Kids with a blog, we beseech you earnestly, don't do this. It rarely goes well, and will nearly always  blow up in your face.) Kill your own meat, kids, and eat it fresh, not months-old. Case in point:

The Federalist has now breathlessly announced that Kung Flu is an "airborne" virus. Based on the pronouncements of "medical experts" (our emphasis, with appropriate derision) from the Communist News network, CNN.

Firstly, when you're listening to any of the usual gang of five-star gold-plated idiots at CNN, you deserve what you get, and even the fucktards at The Federalist who pointed at that bunch of @$$clowns should have known better than to go there, yet away they went.

Secondly, much like that term in a military context, the designation of a virus as "airborne" has actual criteria, which Kung Flu does not meet, and has never met thus far. It's a virus transmitted by droplet transmission and contact transmission. (And nota bene, gentle reader, that the @$$clowns at CDC and numerous sites have deliberately hazed and clusterfornicated up all those definitions in their ceaseless efforts to karenize Kung Flu into the Virus From Hell; I had to go all the way to that bastion of accuracy, Wikipedia, which was the seventh or eighth listed definition for "airborne" transmission, to get an accurate and correct definition that hadn't been completely and purposely fucked up to make Kung Flu fit that mold, which it does not meet to date.)

For reference: "Airborne or aerosol transmission is transmission of an infectious disease through small particles suspended in the air." (Emphasis mine, for a reason.)

Briefly, something like TB is airborne. The bacteria wafts around and floats in air for prolonged periods of time (we're talking half an hour to hours) after mere exhalation, let alone coughs or sneezes. This is what makes TB or any airborne disease such a royal PITA, medically and epidemiologically. One person with TB can infect dozens in a restaurant or movie theater in a few minutes' time, and did before antibiotics, and still do. Which is why places where TB is endemic and widespread, like slam-packed Asian nations, are places where wearing a cloth surgical mask over the nose and mouth is a daily thing going back decades. (We'll return to tht point momentarily as well.)

But then, the dutiful Karens at Wikipedia, not content to leave the science alone, have gotten into the moving goalposts act, which is what happens when high school and college "experts" are left to edit any repository of knowledge, with all the experience of Gilligan playing with plastic explosive:

"Airborne transmission traditionally has been considered distinct from transmission by droplets, but this is incorrect." - same Wikitardia article

With a footnote that links directly to some hogwash entitled "COVID-19 has redefined airborne  transmission".

By the numbers:

1) Airborne transmission is, is, IS distinct from transmission by droplets. If you have a plant mister, you get this. Blast a mist of aerosolized water into the air, and there's a mist cloud there, briefly. Unlike, e.g. tuberculosis bacteria, that vapor cloud isn't there very long. (For instant proof, try that on a hot day.)

2) COVID-19 didn't "re-define" airborne transmission, but jackholes trying to make COVID-19 do something which it manifestly does not do, have changed the definition of "airborne" to suit their purpose, by first ass-raping the English language and medical definitions.

QED

Language doesn't work like that, especially in science, versus in political advocacy.

Language, especially medical and scientific, is not
fungible, despite the earnest opposing desires of
crack-smoking Leftards.

For those with military training, it's the difference between getting hit with nerve gas, versus by a projectile. If you're standing in someone's cough- or sneeze-spew cone, you're being hit with a droplet. It's a projectile. If you walk into a cloud of VX, you're getting hit with something airborne. And minute sneeze particles hanging about for a few minutes is not the same as something that lingers for hours. Period.

But wait, there's more.

Then, our heroes, both the blog in question, and The Federalist, not content with that much fail, go far beyond stupid, to recockulous.

"Joe Biden’s COVID-19 adviser Dr. Michael Osterholm similarly agreed that wearing masks is “largely” nonsense and that “trying to stop the flu [another respiratory virus] is like trying to stop the wind.”

Point of Order: So CNN "experts" weren't stupid enough, now you're going to reference Joe Biden's "science adviser"?!? Well-played, soopergeniusii.

And then point to a "meta-analysis". Which isn't a clinical study. It's a study of other clinical studies.

What could possibly go wrong with that?

If you do a meta-analysis of physics studies, published by Einstein, Fermi, Richard Feynman, and Sir Isaac Newton, you might have something worth reporting. If instead you do a meta-analysis of studies published by Gilligan, Goober from Mayberry, Inspector Clouseau, and Baldrick from Blackadder, well, not so much.

Because you lump all the studies in together, and assume that their methodology wasn't hugely suspect, and that their results are repeatable.

Put another way: Exactly how much straight horsehsit are you okay with being cooked into your meatloaf?

Now bear in mind that most of the "studies" are pure horseshit, and re-answer the question.

That the overwhelming bulk of such studies are results that are totally unreproduceable has been an open secret in research science for two decades. SiG revisits this topic frequently, and it's gotten worse than 70% bullshit, year after year. It's something like 90%+, when last I looked. "Meta-analysis" sweeps all that under the rug into a nice hidden shitball of fail.

That's just the overall problem. Next, there's methodology.

IOW, if you want to study something, you have to account for all variables. ALL variables. Ideally, you want to get down to studying just one. Hopefully, the exact one you're hypothesizing about.

For instance, if you want to know the exact temperature at which water freezes, you do at testing at 14.7 psi, I.e. atmospheric average pressure at sea level. Otherwise, when someone tries to replicate your data in Denver, it won't work. You standardize ambient humidity at, e.g., 50%. Or else someone in Panama, at 99% humidity, and someone in Anchorage in January, when humidity is 2%, are going to fail to get the same results, and thus doubt your "proof". And you use absolutely pure sterilized ionized water, with 0% salinity, otherwise, someone trying seawater, or sediment and bacteria-laden swamp water, are going to announce loudly and publicly that your research is horse cobblers. So then, with only the ambient water temperature a factor, at standard sea level pressure, and 0% salinity, you freeze water 100 times, and it keeps coming to 32° F. time after time after time, and you've got something you can publish.

And, for bonus points, if you get random other numbers, you've failed, but you've discovered a hidden variable, an Unknown Unknown, and your new job is to find that little bastard, and track down the Truth. This is why Edison tried and failed hundreds of times to invent a working lightbulb, until he'd weeded out all the variables, and it finally worked.

But grant-beholden scientists nowadays especially are too lazy for that. It's too hard; they know they're right, so they skip a few steps. And when someone checks their experiment, and it cannot be reproduced, it's so much crap. But the "scientist" who did the original experiment has "proved" that asbestos is harmless, and smoking causes no health problems, so the building material supplier or tobacco company who funded their "experiment' pays out, and they cash the check, and never look back. Have lab coat, will falsify data for cash.

Enter advocacy government.

Global warmism/climate change. Or gender dysphoria. And now, coronatardation and COVIDmania.

Suddenly, you're "testing" masks never designed to protect the wearer, and - mirabile dictu! - "masks don't work". (Somebody call Pasteur, Lister, and Semmelweiss, and tell them it's not germs, it's bad air floating in the phlogiston that cause diseases. I'll wait over here.)

There may be others in recent times, but I'm aware of precisely one proper study of the effectiveness of cloth and surgical face masks, used as intended, using documented infected persons, in a study that lasted years, and controlling for the only variable that matters: does the virus get out?

TL;DR:

No mask - 100 to 1000 coronavirus viral particles land in a viral particle chamber in front of their face after 30 minutes.

Bog-average surgical mask - 1 viral particle escaped. IOW, a 99.9% to 99.99% prevention of viral load down to 5 microns or less was achieved over 30 minutes' exposure.

None of the studies referenced by The Federalist tested that. They tested whether the masks protect the wearer. [Pro-tip, fucktards: they are neither designed nor intended for that, since ever. You could look it up.] This is like testing parachutes to see how many people wearing them didn't land on the earth. Fucktard Science 101 level error there, geniuses.

They tested whether the masks stopped everything, for unknown long periods of time, e.g., during extended surgical procedures.

In one "study" cited, they found that wearing a double t-shirt mask increased the level of virus expelled above the level transmitted by wearing nothing. [Pro-tip: if you can't figure out why this is prima facie recockulously impossible, try putting a t-shirt over the gas nozzle at the local station, and see if that delivers more gasoline into your car's tank. IOW, you can't exceed the results of no mask, under any circumstances, unless you're having people blow through a fully colonized petri dish of germs grown for days beforehand.]

When a test succeeded exactly as expected, it was labelled as "apples and oranges".

We could go on and on, as these assclowns have, but their point is pointless.

When you keep pointing to retards, and bullshit studies, and then act like Little Jack Horner pulling a plum out of your ass, you're just an idiot.

When you can't account for a thousand other things, like people wearing their masks on their chin, or touching everything with gloves, and then taking those gloves off with their teeth to touch their cellphones, or don't wash their nasty hands after they crap and rub feces all over them and then finger-bang everything they touch afterwards with their poo, the problem isn't masking or not, it's societal retardation. And dozens of variables you forgot to control out of the experiment.

Masks Work - As Designed

A surgical or cotton mask isn't something you wear to protect yourself. Write that on your hand with a Sharpie in case you're too stupid to remember that. You wear one to protect other people from you. For the same reason you put a diaper on a baby's ass. It's not there to protect the baby from shitting himself. If this needs further explanation, you're not smart enough to be let out in public without the chaperone from the short bus field trip, and you can probably tell the class what the glass on its windows tastes like.

If your aim is self-protection, you need to be wearing a properly fitted and fit-tested N95, or better. Got facial hair that prevents a proper seal? You're f**ked. Haven't been fit-tested? You might be f**ked. Don't know how to put it on right and seal it properly? You're f**ked. That's why the surgeon general correctly told you not to bother with an N95, unless you're going to do the homework necessary. Only afterwards did CNN and Fauci retardedly conflate that down to "masks don't work".

Anybody who was ever in a military or police tear gas training chamber exercise knows what I'm talking about here.

People too stupid to understand that were very entertaining to those of us in those chambers who watched them spaz out and lose their shit, choke, and puke, because they didn't pay attention. Don't be That Guy.

What Masks Won't Do

An N95 won't protect you from anyone if you wear it wrong, or it doesn't fit and seal.

A surgical or cotton mask isn't there to protect you from anyone else.

Any mask is pointless if you aren't in close proximity to the infected, and you aren't infected yourself.

In your car, by yourself, wearing a mask? You're a fucktard. Walking outside, or exercising, by yourself, with a mask on? You're a fucktard. In a population that isn't infected with COVID, flu, or anything else, and wearing a mask? You're a fucktard.

The problem comes with that last part: knowing whether you, or anyone else, is infected. Want to go mask-free? ROWYBS. And so will everyone else around you. Which works fine (just like with VD and AIDS, and merrily sport-f**king people.) Until it doesn't. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

I've been wearing masks of all levels, and putting them on people, professionally, for decades. They piss me off mightily. But if you cough or sneeze or spit, fuck your comfort. And if I have to be around you, and you could give me something nasty, or lethal, fuck my comfort too. Harden the fuck up.

When enough people play stupid games, the professional jackasses in politics feel honor-bound to nanny them.

When they have a spring-loaded fuck-with-everyone-and-control-their-every-waking-activity setting, then it becomes the shitshow we've lived for the last two years and counting.

And when intelligence is a constant, but the population is increasing, the mean IQ is dropping like CNN's ratings.

Bloggers and the usual gang of science-impaired idiots at The Federalist should probably stop hitching their wagons to the fucktards at CDC and ABCNNBCBS. Unless you don't want people to be able to tell the difference.

WORD

h/t Phil

Go to Phil's blog, Busted Knuckles, Or over to the OP at 90 Miles From Tyranny.

It's a short education in Everything You Need To Know.

For the longer version re-watch this classic of wisdom from 2012:

IANAL. But he is.

When You're In A Hole, Stop Digging

Evidently, I'm not smart enough to know what I read over on Claire's blog the other day:

"I hadn't even read Aesop's attempted takedown of me before I started writing this comment, but wow. He thinks I set up an idiotic either/or when I clearly stated in the post that that either/or was just the beginning of a conversation about other options AND when the main point of the post was to ASK READERS for other options and viewpoints???

Jeazy peazy, someone didn't bother reading before blarting."

First, let's summarize where I agree with Claire:

Her either/or absolutely was, as she said, idiotic. D'accord.

We'll come back to that in a minute.

And yes, she was asking for input on the following question:

"The question: What will you do -- or what do you think you and your neighbors should do --if the unvaxxed, or the previously"fully vaxxed" but now insufficiently boostered, are forbidden to access basic life needs? I'm thinking groceries especially."

Firstly, contrary to her assumptions, I read every word in her piece. Secondly, there are two problems with her pique in response to what I wrote back:

1) It was an exact answer to her very question, which I had obviously read, and without any trouble understanding same.

2) When the author asks a question, and then posts their own answer to that very question, they own that answer. You can't walk it back, or feign faux surprise that someone thought you actually meant what you said, when the words you're quoting are literally and explicitly your own.

So unless Claire meant to illustrate how little thought whatsoever she's given to her own  question (which she nonetheless describes having discussed with her unidentified friend for some good time):

"We went back and forth, coming to no particular conclusions,..."

then she absolutely owns her answer to her own question. Which was

"Fully vaxxed and boostered friends or black marketeers will make food runs for us and we'll continue to quietly refuse to bow to Faucism no matter what pressures are brought to bear."

Riiiiiiight. And food-pooping unicorns will sprinkle cheeseburgers, surf and turf platters, and haute cuisine box meals over the homes of all the sincere boys and girls too, I suppose. This answer has all the seriousness of a conversation with a 3-year old girl having a tea party with her dolls and stuffed animals. When that's your answer to "What will you do...?", you can't come back and gaslight me or anyone else for being so gauche as to take you at your word, and noting in reply that such a proposition is farcical and idiotic. It would be different if she'd posted both answers as two other people, without making any suggestion herself, but that's not what she posted. My apologies for understanding the ridiculousness of her reply so succinctly and rapidly, but there it is. It's her reply to her own question. And it's frankly childish and preposterous, prima facie. If you're going to call something a "think piece", might one suggest doing some first?

We took that for granted as bog-obvious, but tasked for the observation now, we shall belabor the point.

Show the class where and when you've noted any spirit of solidarity present in America between the vaxxed and the unvaxxed? Show all work.

What evidence leads anyone to presume that any such "food runs" will be blithely tolerated by TPTB, their teeming hordes of Karen Vaxxhole minions, or the erstwhile Jell-O Sheriffs at the local foodmart? Once again, show all work.

What experience in smuggling food long-term, in any appreciable quantities, leads Claire to believe random folks will do that any better than they'll wash their hands during flu season?

I ask this because the average American consumes nearly a ton of food per year. That's over 5 pounds a day, per person. So who do you - anybody out there - know, who's vaxxed, that will happily sneak a family of four 20 pounds of food, day in and day out, indefinitely? Where are they going to put it? How will they buy it? How will it be handed off? IAN007, but I'm guessing putting 140 pounds of groceries for the week in a dead drop isn't going to cut it, unless your tradecraft expertise includes a vault of galleons from Gringott's Bank, Ron Weasley's flying Ford Cortina, and Harry Potter's Cloak Of Invisibility. So for those of us not mentally living in Harry Potter World, howzat gonna work, exactly, IRL? Once again, show all work.

Now tell me how it's going to work for 100M of us.

And in what universe do "black marketeers" operate pro bono? So, needing ducats to pay for their efforts, in perpetuity, are you independently wealthy enough to pay the 1000 or 10,000% mark-ups for a box of corn flakes, and everything else? And what about the bien peasants unable to afford such custom? "Let them eat cake"?

You're going to "continue to quietly refuse to bow to Faucism", all right. Delirium and coma will set in after a couple of weeks of extreme hunger, and after three to four weeks, the only sound you'll issue will be naught but the escaping gasses of decomposition, and the munching of thousands of ants and maggots on your festering corpse.

Well-played, Claire, but you'll understand if no one decides to follow your starvation/enforced hunger strike right off the cliff to Fiddler's Green.

Now, had you identified that plan as the fool's errand it so obviously is, we might have left well enough alone.

But then you propped up Feather-brained Friend's answer, and knocked it strawman silly faster than Mike Tyson in his heyday

(Which, for the TL;DR crowd, amounted to

"1. Attack the innocent

2. Something

3.Declare victory!").

We know there are more than two answers, we saw her bleg for other options, but that doesn't change the fact that her answer and the other one were the only two she bothered to present in answer to it.

But wait, there's more!

Later, in comments and responses to her OP, Claire comes out and says

"And no, I'm not going to respond "rationally" to Aesop because he didn't respond rationally to me. There's no point engaging with someone who's already demonstrated that he'll simply misrepresent my position no matter what I say."

Claire, please -

I linked directly to your OP. I'm quoting you here in context, and verbatim. There's no way to misrepresent what you said, I simply took it for granted that you are fluent in English, weren't having a stroke when you were typing, and were sober.

So by all means, be the island of sanity and bon homme in contrast to mean old ogre Aesop. But FFS, try engaging with your own question "rationally". If only for the novelty of that approach.

My rational response was that your answer was recockulous. So was Unidentified Friend's. If I'm at a bar and the bartender throws a punch at me, I'm not going to go back tomorrow and wear a disguise and sneak in, or have someone smuggle me drinks, and I'm not going to attack everyone else at the bar. Those responses are the essence of your answer to your question, and your friend's answer to it.

My answer is I'm going after the guy that swung. Let me know where I lost you in that, and I'll try and simplify it further, if such is humanly possible.

And then (talk about "burying the lede") Claire finally stumbles upon something sensible in her own comments at 7:23 that day:

"And certainly an attempt to deny food to any segment of the population merits an armed and violent response."

Well, hallelujah! Mirabile dictu! Strike up the band! Where was that clarity and laser-like focus when you were concocting the entire post on the topic? Why couldn't you come up with something so simple in all that time back-and-forthing with Unidentified Friend?

In pure redneck eloquence:

"Shit howdy ma'am, if that ain't the most dad-blamed OBVIOUS answer there ever was, I don't know what is!"

TPTB already told millions of us we couldn't work last time around. They aren't sending out CARE packages, and the free fiatbux dollars have dried up. So not working, sooner or later, particularly in Lockdown 2.0, necessarily means not eating, doesn't it?

If Almighty God sends manna from heaven in the nick of time, that'll be a fine thing, but absent miraculous intervention, more lockdowns, more "othering", and more turning Vaxx-decliners into Vaxx Jüden is a train whose boxcars either unload at the showers, or one we refuse to board, and the range goes hot in both directions.

So if you can eventually figure that out, just like I can, and so can any well-rounded 4th grader, why be so reticent to say that up front, and even make that obvious truth the title??

Anyone that tries to starve me can count on the ultimate calorie-reduction plan: The Winchester/Federal Diet. Anywhere between 55 and 230 grains of lead, and their weight problem will be permanently solved.

And that includes Karen, and her government @$$-kissing supermarket management team. Quite possibly served hot, over a barbecue of flaming place of business. Just to remind folks of what the stakes are.

If you think you or your commentariat can improve on that, have at it. My earlier suggestion in reply has the added benefit of disincentivizing becoming a kleine Nazi for The Man, in return for an extra ration of Soylent Green.

But FFS, stop trying to paint me not being wishy-washy, and coming out and saying the obvious truth, as "irrational", when even you can finally come to the exact same position (kicking and screaming, but still...). And quit tippie-toeing around what this is going to come down to, of pure necessity.

You want to contribute? Come up with a plan to shorten the inevitable violence that's going to come, and stop fueling irrational wishes that there's some way to balkanize the country to avoid it altogether. You nor anyone else will paint a white stripe through the middle of a conflict that varies from house to house in a neighborhood, and even room to room in the same household. Civil wars are the bloodiest wars, and family squabbles are always the worst knock-down drag-out curb stomps that ever are. Quit imagining there's a way to sugarcoat that. And wrap your head around the truth you can barely bring yourself to utter without stupid amounts of prompting from the studio audience.

This Is How We Win

Liberty is not ordered by mail from Amazon. Freedom grows on trees exactly nowhere, at any time in human history. The colonists didn't vote King George out of office. The Redcoats weren't thrown out in the midterms. Their removal was by shellfire, musketry, and bayonets. If you thought liberty was going to descend from heaven indefinitely on a velvet cushion as the gift from a benevolent deity and thoughtful forefathers, you're in for a severe disappointment, exactly as some of you have already sussed out. Freedom will not drop out of the skies until communists and tyrants (but I repeat myself) do so as well.

To get those things, you have to go out on the plains of tyranny and kill the predators, if you want the red meat of freedom in your bellies. 'Twas ever thus, and ever shall be. You may not be the ones doing the trigger pulling or helicopter passenger unloading, come the day, but you damned sure better be down with those who are. If you can't find 3AM friends, you had better be one, and looking for the opportunity. And if you get the chance, even fleetingly, to join in the festivities, you'd better take full advantage of same. Or you'll regret it, all the way to the boxcars, and while sitting in exactly the very camps you imagined would never return. Of which your unsleeping enemies now speak openly.

If that's too hard for you to wrap your head around, let alone do, you won't have to ever worry again about what to think, or do, or how to live your lives. Because the chances are surpassing excellent that someone else will make those decisions for you every minute of your miserable remaining existence. Ask the rest of the Anglosphere (formerly-great Britain, Oz, NewZ, and Canada) how that's working out for them this very minute. As usual, we're the only ones left, and things here are looking sketchy at best, and ominously doubtful. Pretty much as in all such times.

If you're not up for such an animating struggle, stay on the porch with the little dogs. Maybe you'll be the unwitting receiver of the blessings of liberty anyways. Maybe not. And in the meantime, "May your chains rest lightly on your wrists, and may posterity forget that you were ever our brethren."

And those pictures, above? That's how you can tell, beyond all argument, that we are not amidst any such armed conflict, no matter what anyone else imagines. When they cease to be memes, and become every day, then maybe the fencesitters and thumb-up-the-fundament types will finally twig to the notion that unless there are two sides trading lead, it's not a conflict. It's simply a slaughterhouse.

It's your life, your freedom and liberty. Either fight for it tooth and nail, while you yet have the means, or accept that you'll die without it. (And voting a crop into existence is about as likely as pissing on the furrows by way of irrigation. Never worked, never will.) Unlike weeds and thorns, freedom isn't going to spring up of its own accord.

Sunday Music: Straight On

No autotune, no digital loop-and-sample, no session musicians. Just hardball rock and roll. I feel so sorry for kids today, who have to idolize and settle for weak-ass wannabe second-rate musicians, because that's what 95% (or more) of the new crop of endless mediocrity are. Ann Wilson was 28 when she did this, and sister Nancy on guitar was 24. This performance is 44 years old, and they were crushing it.

Pyrrhus Is Not A Good Wartime Consigliere

h/t WRSA

Don't be recockulous, Claire.

This is what is known in a Fundamentals Of Logic class as a false dilemma.

It is both lazy writing (and thinking), and the rhetorical equivalent of asking "Have you stopped beating your wife."

The correct answer is neither no, nor yes, but to reject the premise completely, and state that you never did.

In this wind-up, Claire uses acquaintance conversation to lay out the (imaginary only) two choices to needing COVID passports to shop for food as

a) knuckle under to TPTB, and get friendly vaxxed folks to shop for you sub rosa (so, how did being illegal aliens in their own country work out for Jews in Germany from 1933-1945?), or

b) attack the privileged vaxxed (and nominally innocent) shoppers, to put everyone on equal (and foodless) footing.

Um, ...no.

In fact, F**K NO.

In fact, we already asked and answered this question, and told you explicitly which parties will be targeted.

That would be

1) The kleine Nazis at the market, from bag boy to CEO, carrying the Vaxxholes' water for them by enforcing a recockulous and illegal mandate, and ratting out vaxx refuseniks.

2) The große Nazis performing the jackbooted thuggery of "just following orders", showing up to enforce the 21st century Blood and Honor Laws.

3) TPTB passing the illegal mandates, and directing Ofcr. Jackboots to enforce same.

Burn out the rats, and shoot the other motherf***ers in the face.

Period. Full stop.

If you think we're going to acquiesce, even quietly starve, at the behest of a bunch of tyrants, you've got another think coming.

And if supermarkets suddenly suffering an abundance of combustability from foolishly following the tyrants deprives the vaxxed of their vittles?

And exactly as we suggested, after a suitable application of Comrade Molotov's libations, Adam Smith's Invisible Hand will provide a rapid correction and political re-focusing by the surviving merchants (and no small number of inconvenienced hordes), and they won't be any more in favor of tyrannical mandates than will the unvaxxed. Lest they lose their jobs, their businesses, and their own place to shop.

(By the by: How have vaxx mandates worked out at the airlines? What about hospitals? How's that song playing in federal court lately? Asking for 100M friends.)

Hint: We didn't boycott Dresden in 1945. We erased it.

In the words of Mr. Alinsky:

1. "Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have."

6. "A good tactic is one your people enjoy."

8. "Keep the pressure on."

13. "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."

Or, as Momma and Daddy should have taught you: "Don't start nothin', won't be nothin'."

Otherwise, if you carry water for The Man, you become The Man. And deal with the third degree burns that come from that choice.

People with livelihoods and inventory at stake should think long and hard before sticking their head into that blast furnace, unless they're wearing asbestos underpants.

The learning curve will be harsh, but fair.

Does that still lead to this?:

No. It leads to this:

thereby leaving only 39,999 other grocery stores still standing for the management not to be ass-kissing Vaxxholes, if they want to remain open and in business.

I'm betting fiscal sanity kicks in long before the unvaxxed run out of bottles, unleaded gas, and dish soap. Just spitballing, mind you.

But hey, if you think the unvaxxed will quietly sit back and tolerate second-class citizenship, "othering", and looming malnutrition, disease, and starvation, meekly and passively, well, you go ahead and roll those dice.

And I'll give you odds that by the second or third week, police and fire stations will start to spontaneously combust first, an hour or three before the local market does.

(For the short story on where that breaks it down for TPTB, take a look at the original Miracle On 34th Street, and watch campaign manager Bill Frawley's advice to the judge in chambers therein. "Why, before this is over, you're gonna be an awful popular fella!")

TPTB want to call that tune, they're not going to like what union scale amounts to for the band.

And they should stop playing with matches.

2022 Quincy Adams Wagstaff Lecture

"You asked for this lecture, and you're going to get it, good and hard.
These are my principles.
If you don't like them, I have other ones."

Ladies and gentlemen (and there are no other genders, if you're keeping score at home), faculty, students, and friends of Huxley College,

As we all can attest, 2021 was a rough year. We thought 2020 was as bad as things could get. We were wrong. And now, on the cusp of the new year, we wait, cautiously yet hopefully, to see if 2022 will be any better than 2021. Because, as our colleague John Wilder has noted, we don't know if we're going to get 2022, or 2020, Too.

We are under no illusions. We're fairly certain what we'll be getting will be mathematically awful: 2022, which is just triple 666, with 24 more added on for good measure. But we're not about doom and gloom here, because this is an institution of higher learning, and if the last couple of years have taught folks anything at all, it's that you should be learning to get as high as you can. So we're going to stay positive. We are therefore positive the coming year will be bad, in a way usually reserved for descriptions of biblical calamity.

What's not to like about what we have in store?

Billionaires have been cashing out their stocks for months. Because as we all know, they're financially exceedingly stupid.

The Monster Of Jekyll Island has moved the levers on the national currency printing presses from "Ludicrous Speed" to "Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! What Could Possibly Go Wrong?"
What, indeed.

As has been true for at least the last decade and more, you should be stocking up on canned goods with every paycheck. That's assuming you're one of the lucky and industrious types who still has a paycheck. And by canned goods, we mean the #10 ones, and the olive drab ones. Food will not be getting cheaper anytime soon. Months, perhaps years, and perhaps for the rest of your lives.

And there's no such thing as too much ammo, unless you're on fire, or drowning.

How long "the rest of your lives" may be is also a matter of some debate, and no small concern. We're just this minute entering the 14th month of beta-testing for the worst form of genetic experimentation ever performed on a population. We know what happens to people after 13 months of COVID vaccines-which-aren't-any-such-thing. We have no idea what happens after 14 months. Or 24. Or 48. or 120. The VAERS moon-launch spike in adverse event data (understated by up to 10,000%, by design) is probably a none-too-subtle clue.

The Powers That Be stopped worrying about your actual welfare, and decided that outright con jobbing you was the way to go, when they took down the air raid sirens and discontinued "duck and cover" drills two generations ago, because it was upsetting people who couldn't handle the awful realities of life. So now, and for several decades, Joseph Goebbels' "Big Lie" approach has been the guiding principle for all governmental (dis)information. Hence the sort of "vaccine reluctance" that wants to string up TPTB at the first opportunity, in perpetuity.

Obscuring from you that this instinct is your actual birthright as Americans is the Biggest Lie Of All.

It scares Hell out of the current would-be overlords for anyone to know that a few-score of Dead White Males were onto their perpetual game waaaaay back in 1775, and that the heritage of that sentiment is in the American DNA forever. That some of the Enemy's brighter lights know what happens when their chickens come home to roost is why they fear the truth so vehemently, and go to such ham-fisted and recockulous lengths to attempt to keep it from you. Be not fooled.

No one who lies to you about your identity, your history, your heritage, your freedom, your birthright, and the health and maintenance of your very life itself, has your best interests nor ultimate prosperity in mind when they tell you what they tell you, and do what they do to you.

The only proper answer to that ends with torches and pitchforks, guillotines, ropes around the neck, and gunfire to the face. You owe them that. We beseech you, do not be remiss in paying that debt, at any and at every opportunity whensoever it may be offered you.

Many of our nominal allies and pundits, both amateur and professional, with a far wider audience, continue huffing their Hopeium by the barrel. They are, sadly, addicted to it, rather than partaking of the bracing and harsh draughts of Reality necessary to thrive under all circumstances. "No violence! That's not who we are! This sort of response must not be, because reasons!" they chatter. They still refuse to acknowledge a national coup in broad daylight, watch the daily machinations of the post-Reichstag Fire hearings with apathy, and want to think the America that's dead back to life. They think if, as in a Peter Pan stage play, they can bring Tinkerbell back to life, if only they all clap like furies! Sorry, Cupcake, hope ain't a plan, and pining for America That Was will not restore it into being. You aren't voting your way out of this. You didn't vote your way into the burgeoning communist nightmare, but the only way out of it is going to be to shoot your way there. The sooner people wrap their heads around this inescapable truth, the less of our number who will die deceived by honey-tongued morons and dupes, totally surprised, with bullets in their heads, and a stupid and shocked look on their innocent and unsuspecting faces.

Find yourself actual 3AM friends. Friends help you move; 3AM friends help you move bodies. Bind those sorts to you with hoops of steel. (Just as you should someday bind your enemies' feet with shoes of wet cement.) And remember, no one can infiltrate a group of people with no outsiders. Write that on your hand with a Sharpie, lest ye forget it.

We believe, here, in the power of small groups of committed individuals to change the destiny of the world, because it's the only thing that ever has.

Just a couple of men met in an upstairs room after Jesus was dead and buried. Two millennia later, we know how that turned out. There were only 77 men on Lexington Common one morning in April. And they didn't have 30-round magazines or night vision goggles like you do, and yet the trail of British dead stretched from Concord Bridge to the city limits of Boston before the sun went down on that day. There were less than four hundred men in the 20th Maine the day they held Little Round Top, and charged with bayonets alone, and empty rifles after half their number had fallen. Little Groups Of Paratroops scattered to the winds coalesced and spread chaos, panic, and disaster for entire German divisions on D-Day.

Learn from those examples. There may very well be perilous and disastrous days ahead. We expect nothing less.

Prepare for them, and form the modern versions of those small bands, to weather the gathering storm, and turn it to your advantage. Plan your work, so that you may work your plan.

Prepare, prepare, prepare.

Guns, ammo, and training are the Trivium. Food and water, medicine, precious metals, and robust technology (tools, machines, and power) are the Quadrivium. Hard friends and secure hardened comms are the schools where they are learned and discussed.

No one, on the eve of some terrible conflict, ever said, "I should have dawdled more; I am too ready." Nor were they, ever.

The best you can hope is to be is ready enough.

Charge and recharge your batteries, for a certainty. Take a moment, now and then, to rest for what's to come. But no matter your age and abilities, the more your store away in time of plenty, the more you have to eat when times are hard. And the more you sweat in peace, the less you will bleed in war.

Rest assured, on the other side, the plans are being drawn up. The camps are being planned,  the barbed wire being set aside, the train schedules being arranged, the boxcars allocated, and the Final Solution being discussed. Over wine, and a buffet luncheon. They're so over-confident now, they discuss openly the sort of predations upon the populace that would have seen them thrown into the darkest cells available just a few short years earlier. The gravity of your response to that hubris must match and surpass it.

It's the Vaxx, to be certain, but it's bigger than that. That's merely the current pretext for tyranny.

If you stand up with an erect middle finger to TPTB, you're The Enemy. They're determined that you're the nails standing proud that will be hammered down. And they think they can do it. So for the love of life, and all that you hold dear or holy, please steel yourselves to do more in response than to merely resolve, when thrown to the lions, that you will simply taste very bad.

You must tear the lions' jaws apart, kill all the minions they send, and stand ready to find afterwards and deal with definitively the ones in charge, who would not let you be in peace, and who set such vexation on you in the first place. Then plant your battle flags in their chests, burn their fields to the ground, sow it with salt, and leave not one stone of their monstrous edifices standing one upon the other.

It's the only way to be sure. And liberty and freedom only rewards the overachievers.

R.I.P. Betty White

This pic was for a recent interview, where she revealed the secrets
to a long life. I'm pretty sure one of the top three tips would be "Don't die".

Also undisclosed is whether White, a few weeks shy of her 100th birthday, recently received a COVID booster, or simply had some dirt on the Clintons.

Well, at least we know she won't be watching the Rose Parade tomorrow.

But she could sling it and bring it right up until the end:

The Horror. The Horror.

Jack-Booted Thuggery

 h/t 100% Effed Up

NYfPD Diversity Hire ThugPig in action.

Blue Bloods is great television. But it's entirely fictional.  The video at the link is the real NYfPD, up close and personal, with all the lipstick off the pig(s).

And Ofcr. BLM Jackboots clearly has no idea the significance of the phrase "just following orders", nor why it's always a poor defense.

But she's demonstration that once you start wiping your ass with the Constitution, it's nothing at all to walk all over the US flag for sport.

Fuck any good will from 9/11.

If the jihadis had taken out every building in that miserable rotten sh*thole, they would have qualified for a medal for public service.

Pity the rest of the state doesn't cast the Five Boroughs adrift, and wish them luck, as an independent city-state with no further voting privileges in the rest of the state's affairs. It would be an excellent precedent for the entire country, and put every blue hive sh*thole on notice that they were about to gain their total independence, and get to pay for the privilege out of their own pockets. Communism is a lot less fun without everyone else's money, and has a life expectancy measured in months at that point.

Just Wanted To Beat The Rush

Game Over

The most entertaining sportsdope since Yogi Berra has finally been spiked into the end zone of life. Besides Madden's grieving family, this leaves comedian Frank Caliendo saddened, now without 25% of his material. Hopefully, he'll perform at Madden's memorial service.

Sorry/Not Sorry

If you're among those snookered by the early bluster and bullsh*t about the Vaxx, or forced to knuckle under later on with one arm twisted up behind your back, we feel for you, truly. And we sincerely hope no harm befalls you if that's the circumstances of which you were a victim, knowing or unknowing.

But what is, is, and what is to be is beyond our power to undo.
The only choice left you at this point, is whether to settle for mere victimhood, or to aspire to righteous retribution.

Kleine Nazis: Grosse Nazis

Brooklyn Burger King calls NYFC cops on patrons who refuse to show COVID vaxx proof

Fair enough. You want to carry water for The Man, you can use it to put out the flames that follow.

As in:

Bluff: Called. Your move, chief.

If you like your jackbooted fascism, you can keep your jackbooted fascism.

Mind the third-degree burns.

Day Three story:

(NYFC) In a stunning development, the only burger joints left standing in the five boroughs after a day of 472 unexplained grease fires, are the 87 of them still open who never call the police about people who don't show their vaxx cards.

Authorities have no explanation for this puzzling coincidence. The business owners could not be reached for comment, as the lines of customers waiting to order food now wind around the block.

Unpossible

100% Vaxxed US Navy warships suffer 25-33% COVID infection rates

I thought Bob Denver was dead, but obviously the squids have resurrected him and made him either the Chief of Naval Operations, the Secretary of the Navy, or the head of the Bureau of Naval Medicine. Most Likely: All of the above.

I think they were getting jealous of how big an assclown Gen. Milley is, and decided they needed bigger jackasses running their shop to stay in the running.

And which, once again, makes the SEALs who refused the jab the only ones in the whole lash-up who don't have sh*t for brains.
