Brother, Can You Spare A Dime?

h/t WRSA

Gerard VanderLuen, on no few occasions, has kindly picked up and repeated my scribblings here on his own blog over the past few years, for which kindness I am grateful.

He is now currently a refugee in his 104-year-old mother's apartment, having lost house, home, and all his worldly goods and chattels in one of the CA wildfires near Chico, about 600 miles closer to Oregon than we are here. He got out with his car, a cat, and the clothes on his back, and that's about it.

He is one of the good guys, and in his current situation, I imagine anything you could send to his tip jar would be far more of a boon to him now that whatever it costs you.

Consider what you might be able to do, and help a brother out.

The body count of that fire is going to go up.

Since some of us don't use Paypal, (and some of us got kicked off Paypal), an excellent suggestion from another fan of Geralds is to get an Amazon.com gift card which can be emailed to Gerald and used immediately.
