Nothing Left To Lose

From the "Not Enough Eye Bleach In The World..." category.

This is the current banana republic, in all its splendor.
(For those who haven't been paying attention, that Thing above looking like a walking rectal  abscess is Samuel Brinton, the transfruitcake recently nominated to an under secretary-level position in the Department of Energy, in charge of nuclear waste. Apparently due to his experience in drinking it. Yes, it's gotten that bad in D.C., and we're only a year into the Banana Republic. I can hardly wait to see how bad it gets to be in three more years.)

If you haven't read Gibbon's Rise And Fall Of The Roman Empire in awhile, you'd best brush it off and bone up. It's a rough road from here to the Visigoths.

Sad, Yet Hilarious

If you haven't yet seen it, Emperor Poopypants is seen here so gobsmackinglyly senile that he was trolled by a caller into self-parody (not that he needs any help to self-parody, and yet...)

"Let's go Brandon! I agree."

You're literally watching his brains (of which he hadn't any to spare decades ago, when he was still relatively mentally functional) melt before your very eyes, like an ice cream cone on a hot day in July. If he wasn't sitting behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office and answering the phone there, it would be comedy.

But no, we're supposed to believe >wink wink< he pulled more votes than Obama.

Pull the other one, it's got bells on it.

As it is, it just underlines what a doddering and mentally helpless old fool he is, and you have to wonder how much actual day-to-day control of the entire government has devolved to his chief of staff, Lady Macbeth (pictured), and the other cast of junior assistant assclowns, all with their hands up his ass or pulling his strings most days, and just how totally cluelessly and easily he could be encouraged to launch nukes at American soil, proclaim eggplant a breakfast cereal, bomb Cleveland, declare himself Emperor, or hop around the West Wing in a giant pink bunny suit, convinced it's April and he's the Easter Bunny.

Never mind. Question answered. h/t Irish

Facts & Evidence v. Bile & Animus

Look, if you're not going to bother to note the obvious, just have a hissy fit, own it as such, and get it out of your system.

Nobody, least of all me, has gone any sort of "teary-eyed" over Baldwin. I was damn near, if not the, first one to meme-tag him online for the shooting. He's the same insufferable jackass he's always been. The problem for some of you is that he's a legally innocent jackass, in this case.

Pisser. I get it. Content yourself with his karma, and that being such an egregious jackass, he's going to jump on his tiny wedding tackle again (and again), with cleats on, until the day he dies. We will see no end to our epicaricacy over that, each and every time, and even long after he shuffles off his mortal coil and becomes a Good Progtard.

But if you're going to go full-on tetanus-rabid, go the rest of the way, and just say "To Hell with the law, fuck law itself, because laws are for other people!" and then own that.

Another actor, the great Paul Scofield, has a few words to you on that score:

Baldwin was a producer on the flick, not the producer. There were, according to varying reports, 6 to 12 such persons.

He was gifted with that credit in return for writing the story. He wasn't the line producer, or the supervising producer, and thus had no - none, zero, nada, zip,  bupkus - hiring/firing authority on that movie, which pretty well craps all over the whole narrative to the contrary. The LLC for the whole bunch will eat the liability shield, and that will be that, and that pisses some people off.

He's innocent of negligence because he was doing his job, as directed by one of the victims, when the incident occurred, while both the armorer/weapons handler, and the person designated on that production to double check her, failed in every single respect to do theirs.

So, maybe not being the insurance adjuster trying to
prosecute Flounder for auto theft might be a better move...

Had they shown the circumspection of a true professional propmaster/armorer outlined in comments at the OP by pkoning, you wouldn't have the long-past-dead carcass of this horse to beat, but it wasn't a Robin Williams movie with a real budget, it was a low-budget p.o.s., and they took who they could get for the wages they were paying. In this case, a criminally inept and wholly ignorant second-time armorer (Gutierrez-Reed) trying lamely to follow in daddy's footsteps, without the first shred of knowledge or capability to do so, let alone time in actual occupational apprenticeship, necessary for the job. And she got two people shot, and one killed. Max her out for that. She bears the entire responsibility for the incident. If it's shared at all, it's to a small but significant degree, by the assclown 2d AD (Halls) who had no business being a prop assistant for weapons safety, but nonetheless was, and screwed that pooch as well.  If you take one or both of them out of the equation, and replace them with competent people, the incident never happens. Baldwin, OTOH, no matter how much vinegar it pours in your mouths to say it, could have been replaced with any 50,000 other members of SAG, doing the exact same thing, and it would have made no difference to the death toll on the day. Only to the degree of frothing rabidity of the subsequent reactions. And that's the rub, isn't it?

That it was Baldwin, Satan's Own Spokeshole, and that despite holding the gun in his very hand, that the entire blame can be seamlessly and correctly laid at someone else's feet, exactly as justice demands, is what so upsets your fondest hopes and wishes.

Well, boo effing hoo. As an excellent lawyer once pointed out in a similar case:

"Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passion, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence."

So all I've got is Thomas More and John Adams on my side of the argument, and you've got your spleen, digestive juices, and endocrine system. I like my odds.

You can huff and puff about that, and gainsay that no end with apples-and-oranges fallacious logic, but you can't disprove it, no matter how long you hold your breath, how blue you turn, and how long and hard you jam your fingers in your ears and shout "La! La! La! I'm not listening!"

Do that all you like, because it means nothing in the grand scheme, except to expose what you're using in substitute for facts and logic. You won't be argued out of your faulty position that Baldwin is a negligent criminal, because you didn't use facts and logic to get you there. You used only bile and animus, which is the difference between a legal system that has stood the test of time for over 900 years, and a simple rabid mob.

Be careful what you wish to use for your standards, because you'll get your wish.

And rue the day.

First they came for the actors,...

The D.A. in this hugely meaningless case will do what she will do. Your only hope lies in hoping that twelve people too stupid to avoid jury duty will share your animus for Baldwin, rather than my love for the standard of law and justice. It may yet happen, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Ignoring entirely how wrong those frothing for Baldwin's punishment are, or how right the argument for his acquittal will be, considering how little this case means in the grand scheme, including doing nothing whatsoever to break your legs nor pick your pockets, let alone bring back the dead nor recall the bullet fired, the amount of dyspepsia some people are investing in this, only to endure a steady diet of vinegar, is quite simply fascinating, in a watching-a-train-wreck sort of way. You decry Rittenhouse forced to legally fight for his life, but in the same breath want to visit the same thing on our juiciest enemies, which is to at once condone both cases. You can't have it both ways, and you won't, but you can have nothing that you want in both cases (which is the likeliest outcome, because the D.A. isn't a frothing lunatic), and be forced to eat the whole party-sub 20-foot-long sh*t sandwich you'll get served.

Why not, instead, learn the only wisdom that comes of beating your head against a brick wall:

And let's be serious here. It's one thing to get all raw and butthurt because injustice is being done to someone. But it's seventeen kinds of asinine jackassical to get all twisted into a pretzel because it's not, and to be out at the barricades, shouting for the blood of an innocent person.

Especially when there's a bit of history involved with being on the wrong side of a trial.

Suck it up, buttercup, and move on to more important things.
Compared to this incident, that would be...anything else.

Play Stupid Games...

No one cares if the flags still had creases from the packages, and
were carried by FBI paid informants and hired crisis actors.
You've been tagged with that, and now you own it.

And here's the bill:

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — A jury ordered 17 white nationalist leaders and organizations to pay more than $26 million in damages Tuesday over the violence that erupted during the deadly 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville in 2017.

After a nearly monthlong civil trial, the jury in U.S. District Court deadlocked on two key claims but found the white nationalists liable on four other claims in the lawsuit filed by nine people who suffered physical or emotional injuries during the two days of demonstrations.

We've told people, multiple times, not to play in the street. But they were soooooo much smarter than we were. Right up until the ambush was sprung, and the whole idea blew up in their faces.

If this outcome surprised you, you're not tall enough for this ride.

And then they got played again, at the Capitol last January, just to drive the point well home.

If you're not going out to play with the express intention of racking up a body count in the mid four figures, you shouldn't be going out to play in the streets at all.

Nothing you seek to win is up for grabs there, and like this verdict, when the dust settles, you'll be eating a 20-foot-long party sub sh*t sandwich. Every last bite of it.

If you couldn't figure out better uses for $26M, you're definitely not bright enough for what's coming. There's a million things you should be doing, and not one single one of them is "go to a protest march". Which same haven't worked once, since ever.

Fill out any grievances below.

Then apply the included ointment to the affected area. Repeat as necessary.

Virginia etc.

Today's several elections will determine not only the results of their respective races, but whether we do and will have democratic elections in this republic at all, anywhere, or whether all such attempts are hopelessly corrupted forever, going forward, by malign and specific intent.

Per all expectations in VA, McAuliffe is going to get his ass handed to him. If he pulls this out on the strength of fortuitous dumps of photocopied mail-in ballots by the bushel at 2 A.M., you can stick a fork in the republic, beyond further dispute.

The country has already seen the presidency and the senate stolen by these means, and it's unlikely the Leftards will stop using a cheat they've mastered so well, just to preserve the simulacrum of voter choice.

Either way, it's good. Heads we win, tails they lose.

Our warmest best wishes go to the people of Virginia and New Jersey, and hope against sober expectation that they regain control of their states from the cabal of statists. (NYFC can basically suck it, and live with what they've wrought, because we loves us some epicaricacy. Mayor Sliwa would be comedy gold, were it within possibility. Staten Island should rebel, and declare themselves an independent municipality. NYFC annexing the rest of Long Island in response would be a better outcome all around, and let the Libtards there live under the home rules they've created.)

But if that is yet again seen as impossible from the outset, by yet more ham-fistedly obvious shenanigans, we hope it serves to wake up a bigger swath of clueless Normies, happily watching sportsball and thinking everything is just fine.

Either way, it's bad for the enemies of civilization, and that's good for us.

Just A Coincidence, I'm Sure...

 h/t Vlad Tepes

COVID-19 vaccines: tested, safe, and effective. Oopsie.

Boosters Forever

How significant is it that the two top FDA officials responsible for vaccine research resigned last week and this week signed a letter in The Lancet that strongly warns against vaccine boosters? This is a remarkable sign that the project of government-managed virus mitigation is in the final stages before falling apart.

The booster has already been promoted by top lockdown advocates Neil Ferguson of Imperial College and Anthony Fauci of NIH, even in the face of rising public incredulity toward their “expert” advice. For these two FDA officials to go on record with grave doubts – and their perspective is certainly backed by the unimpressive booster experience in Israel – introduces a major break in the narrative that the experts in charge deserve our trust and deference.

What’s at stake here? It’s about more than the boosters. It’s about the whole experience of taking away the control of health management from individuals and medical professionals and handing it over to modelers and government officials with coercive power. […]

At no point in these 19 months have we seen a clear admission of failure on the part of government officials. Indeed, it’s mostly been the opposite, as the agencies double down, claiming effectiveness while citing no data or studies, while social media companies backed it all by taking down contrarian posts and brazenly deleting accounts of people who dare cite dissenting science.

The vaccine was the biggest gamble of all simply because the program was so expensive, so personal, and so wildly oversold. Even those of us who opposed every other mandate had hopes that the vaccines would finally end the public panic and provide governments a way to back out of all the other strategies that had failed.

That did not happen.

Most people believed that the vaccine would work like many others before them to block infection and spread. In this, people were merely believing what the head of the CDC said. “Our data from the C.D.C. today suggests that vaccinated people do not carry the virus, don’t get sick,” Rochelle Walinsky told Rachel Maddow. “And that it’s not just in the clinical trials, it’s also in real-world data.”

“You’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations,”President Biden said, reflecting what was the common view in the summer of 2021.

That of course turned out not to be the case. The vaccines appear to have been helpful in mitigating against some severe outcomes but it did not achieve victory over the virus. Israel’s surge in infections in August was among the fully vaccinated. The same happened in the UK and Scotland, and that precise result began to hit the US in September. Indeed, we all have vaccinated friends who caught the virus and were sick for days. Meanwhile, team natural immunity has received a huge boost from a large study in Israel that demonstrated that recovered Covid cases gain far more protection than is conferred by the vaccine.

The fallback position then became the booster. Surely this is the answer! Israel was first to mandate them. Here again, the problems began to show, as yet another magic bullet of disease mitigation failed. Then the inevitable headline came: Israel preparing for possible fourth COVID vaccine dose. So think about this because there is a sense in which the vaccines rank among the biggest failures: in a matter of a few short months, we’ve gone from the claim that they fully protect to they are pretty okay provided you get regularly scheduled boosters forever.

Thanks For Wasting Your Time

The bright red tactical woobie is a nice touch.

Well done, Tard Army.
With a total lack of planning, and a 25% chance, you had a "success".

IOW, you didn't kill yourselves or anybody else (and hey, sincere condolences to the wingnuts and "burn everything" jackhole keyboard commandos who were salivating for just that), or shoot yourselves in both feet.
While they were in your mouth.
If we set the bar that low, this was a "successful" rally.

And if you'd stayed home, how much of that could you have accomplished...?
That would be the same exact "success".
Wizard move there.

I mean, I hate to hurt your pwecious feeeeeewings, but we had guys in boot camp who managed to crank out three whole pull-ups in Week One, all by themselves, and I'm a little hazy, but I'm pretty sure no drill instructors gave them any awards for that.

But at least you didn't get anyone hurt, or rack up a body count, this time.
So there's that.

And so sorry for the Perennially Butthurt, but there was nothing "brave" about doing something this futile, pointless, and stupid. This was a live-action YouTube video of someone doing some jackassical stunt, and not doing the full monty faceplant. That's not brave, it's lucky. And foolish beyond description.

You yakked about how you needed to "face down" TPTB.
And how you had to exercise your First Amendment rights.
But it turns out they were never in any jeopardy, and the minions of TPTB were the souls of discretion and politeness. So if anything, you legitimized them more than yourselves. So now the questions for your organizers will be along the lines of "Why all the hyperbolic rhetoric and rifle-waving when the authorities showed you nothing but full respect and courtesy? Aren't you just a bunch of hysterical nitwits for blowing things all out of proportion?"

And then, you'll be standing there mouths agape, and nothing in your hands but your shortcomings.

Best after-action on the internet on this goatrope, bar none, per commenter riverrider over at Borepatch's blog:
"forgotten tomorrow and the dems will pass their agenda without a blink."

Zipper up, and pull your heads out.

So, what did you actually accomplish?

Did Gov. Blackface Babykiller "come to Jesus" and announce he's seen the light, and will abandon his plans to take your guns?
(The answer to that is "Fuck no!")
So that's a total fail.

Will the VA legislature stop passing gun restrictions in Old Dominion?
"Fuck no!"
Another fail.

Waitwaitwait.
No votes changed?
No.
No bills pulled?
No.
No gun grabbing stopped?
No.

(REALITY) VA Democratic lawmakers— including House Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn and Senate Majority Leader Dick Saslaw — told AP the rally wouldn’t impact their plans to pass gun control measures, including universal background checks and a one-handgun-purchase-a-month limit. Democrats say tightening Virginia’s gun laws will make communities safer and help prevent mass shootings

Well-played, Tards. So you accomplished absolutely nothing that would have advanced your cause, but you did wave your guns (and your dicks) around outdoors on a chilly winter's day on a three day weekend.

How much is that you accomplished?

We could stop there, but we're on a roll.

Did state and federal agencies hoover up license plates, cell phone metadata, pictures, and other metric fuck-tons of intelligence data concerning this rally?
"Oh hell yes!"
Epic Intelligence fail.

Did VCDL squander unknown resources pulling this off at the bare minimum level of "not shooting ourselves in the foot"?
"Oh hell yes!"
Logistics fail.

Did all concerned on the 2A side waste another month they could have been organizing at the local (local!local!) level, for what to do when TPTB actually  come for your guns?
"Oh hell yes!"
Training fail.

How many people will think this was your whole wad, and lose interest after your blazing "success"? Legions, who'll never show up for anything again.
Personnel fail.

How did any of this go according to your detailed plan, as opposed to just happening to work out because this time, you got lucky?
Command and leadership fail.

So, your command and leadership, personnel, intelligence, training, and logistics on the TardEx all got a "F". (These functions may ring a vague bell with some people.)
Take those grades together, and guess what the grade will be the next time you're evaluated by OPFOR, for keeps.

You're (still) a joke. A punchline.
Wait...you thought this was over today?
It hasn't even begun.
And the only club in your golf bag is "Winging it".

So it's another month later now, your war chest is emptier, and the legislative juggernaut is completely unaffected by anyone in VA stomping around outside a vacant governor's mansion and an empty capitol building, on a three-day holiday weekend.

" 'Murica! Fuck yeah!"

So to recap, no tea was thrown into the harbor.
No redcoats were fired upon.
But you want full credit, because this time, once in a row, since ever, no one got shot in the face for holding a snowball fight.

Walk tall.

Imagine the press release if this had been 1944.

(NORMANDY - June 6) Today, a massive armada of 4000 ships and 100,000 men sailed up and down the French coast, taunting the Nazis on shore, dropping their trousers, and slapping their bottoms, without actually landing. Asked how this was helpful to the Allied cause, Gen. Eisenhower said, "This shows the resolve of our side to fearlessly taunt the enemy when he was really not paying attention anyways. And, as a bonus, although we squandered hundreds of tons of fuel oil for our ships, we point out that none of them sunk, ran aground, nor crashed into each other, so we're declaring victory for the day."
Fooking tactical genius level videogame skillz there, boys and girls.
Pin medals on yourselves.

A run right up the middle, for 0 yards gained. 2nd down and 10. Woohoo.
But but but...we didn't fumble and cough up the ball!!!

So hey, thanks for doing nothing, and courting disaster unsuccessfully, while providing hundreds of photo ops for the media to use for the next year or two, giving the fusion centers an extra Christmas load of intel to chew on, while hindering what you're supposedly against not one fucking whit, nor organizing seriously to oppose it exactly 0% over where you were in December. You wasted a month you can't spare on a pointless stunt.

This is how baboons fight: everyone hoots and hollers, and some shit gets flung, but no one actually accomplishes anything.

And the Feebs successfully tagged you for white supremacy and trying to bring machineguns to the rally four days in advance, totally justifying - in the eyes of the media, the opposition, and no small number of uncommitted Normies you're theoretically interested in swaying to your side - the "whackjobs with guns" state of emergency.

A few more pyrhhic "victories" like this, and the war's over, right guys?

Huzzah.

One day, someone on the 2A side may realize this isn't a game, and note that neither time nor resources are infinite, and actually start behaving as if they ought to do something more effective than emulating the lamester hippies of the 1960s, and actually, y'know, accomplish something more constructive than having a gun love-in.

But the overwhelming likelihood at that point, is he'll also realize he's dealing with retards nominally on his side, give up, and just roll over and play dead. Or head for the hills, and live in a bunker.

On a state level, all you could organize was "Hey, everybody, show up on Monday in three weeks and don't step on your dicks or act like jerks." Probably 90% of them managed that. Don't pat yourselves on the back too hard. Millions of people manage that every day, when they show up for movies or go to the mall, with no supervision whatsoever, and no lead time.

To date, your only real forte is at the local/county level.
Focus on building that.
If Gov. Babykiller comes (or, more realistically, sends his minions) to get your guns, they aren't going to give you three weeks' notice beforehand.

Based on this morning, and everything to date, you'll do f**k-all NOTHING, because doing anything on that day is far beyond your barest capabilities.

That penny will drop for you, but probably only when it's too late, and they're already kicking down your front door.

You didn't win anything today, because you were once again playing in the street.
And nothing you want will be won there, least of all by holding clusterf**k circle-jerks.
No matter how many of them you do.

A Cautionary Sorting

Attributed to multiple sources (German, British, American) in the last 100 years is the following method of sorting officers:
“I divide my officers into four classes as follows:
The clever, the industrious, the lazy, and the stupid. Each officer always possesses two of these qualities.
Those who are clever and industrious I appoint to the General Staff.
Use can, under certain circumstances, be made of those who are stupid and lazy.
The man who is clever and lazy qualifies for the highest leadership posts. He has the requisite nerves and the mental clarity for difficult decisions.
But whoever is stupid and industrious must be got rid of, for he is too dangerous.
Next Monday is an entire rally of industrious stupid people.

Led by the king of stupid and industrious, Philip Van Cleave, president of VCDL.
How smart is he?
Take it away, Borat:

No, really. Same guy.
H/t to anyone and everyone who tipped me to that factoid in comments.
I was astounded that this guy isn't exiled to a shotgun shack about 20 miles from any paved road after stomping his dick off with cleats like this.

Instead, he's the Gilligan running Monday's upcoming Charlie Foxtrot.

Draw your own conclusions.
Just like the border issue and the MinuteTards, the lights and cameras draw out the industrious fuckwits like porch lights pull moths from miles around.

How anyone would trust this guy to even lead them to the drinking fountain is beyond rational explanation.
And if this isn't the final nail in this impending debacle, anyone who still shows up deserves any lumps they get.

The problem is all the people smart enough not to attend, who'll get lumped in with this lumpenproletariat of ne'er-do-wells, because it's handy shorthand for everyone, not least of which the low-IQ media.

Nice going, Gilligan.

UPDATE: More cheery news from Herschel at Captain's Journal
Just a coincidence, of course.

So are reports that out of nowhere, the Feebs have used "Eminent Domain" to seize for their own use every Gen III or better NVD and tube for same in the U.S. from every inventory available, including retailers, because "we're the government".

I'm sure that means nothing though.

Go ahead and get on those busses to the Richmond killbox.
What could possibly go wrong?

Behold, The Clown Show Narrative Begins

Let's look at the Wayback Machine, Sherman. To, say, last week:
"And then, the cherry on the turdmuffin, they’ve invited any number of mouth breathing knuckleheads, helpfully pre-infiltrated by X*500 paid CI/agitators, not to mention actual and faux racists and other assorted idiots, whose entire purpose is to create the plausible rationale to
a) open fire
b) make mass arrests
c) turn this into Charlottesville Klan Rally v2.0 on national TV
d) make an airtight case in 50 states for gun owners being the exact non-existent lunatics the Brady Bunch and every other anti-gun lobby sees in their fever dreams, except now with actual video proof.
e) All of the above." - Aesop
Now let's visit last night's headlines:
BALTIMORE, Md. (WDBJ7/WWBT/AP) — Three men linked to a racially motivated violent extremist group have been arrested in Maryland and Delaware by FBI special agents.
The suspected white supremacists were believed to be on their way to a gun rights rally planned in Richmond for Monday, according to several national media outlets.
According to the Associated Press, a law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss an active investigation said the group was arrested on their way south to Richmond, where a rally is planned to protest pending gun control bills in the General Assembly.
Governor Ralph Northam declared a temporary State of Emergency for Richmond on Wednesday, banning all weapons from Capitol Square during the time in which the rally is planned.
Northam said law enforcement intelligence analysts identified credible threats of violence, as well as white nationalist rhetoric and out-of-state militia plans that appeared similar to plans that led up to the deadly 'Unite the Right' rally in Charlottesville in 2017.
According to a press release from Northam's office, "credible intelligence gathered by Virginia’s law enforcement agencies indicates that tens of thousands of advocates plan to converge on Capitol Square for events culminating on January 20, 2020. Available information suggests that a substantial number of these demonstrators are expected to come from outside the Commonwealth, may be armed, and have as their purpose not peaceful assembly but violence, rioting, and insurrection."
Well played, fucktards.

I don't have to be a psychic medium to foretell this. I just have to know enough physics and history to predict how big the POOF! will be every time Wile E.'s  latest Acme Fucktard Plan takes him off the cliff, and calculate height and velocity before impact.

And now, Gov. Blackface Babykiller's entire emergency no-weapons declaration has been justified.

QED

I can hardly wait for Act Two.

Well played, Tard Army.

This is what it looks like when you play hopscotch in a minefield, and know more about sun tea than about Sun Tzu.
"All warfare is based on deception.
If you are weak, appear strong; if you are strong, appear weak.
The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.
Supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy’s resistance without fighting.
Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.
He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight.
He will win who, prepared himself, waits to take the enemy unprepared.
The greatest victory is that which requires no battle.
”  - Sun Tzu
The feds and local authorities, four days before the first TardBus unloads in Richmond, have already made their case. They have pre-selected wingnut dipshits bringing FUCKING MACHINEGUNS to Richmond, FFS! Does Las Vegas ring any bells? Who wants to put $20 on the over-under before that link shows up in the news about this arrest? Beuller? Bueller...? Ferris Beuller...??? Anyone? Anyone...???

The media circus left the station and the Tards haven't even shown up yet. TPTB are picking the low-hanging fruit off before you even wake up, let alone tee up.

And yet, the true morons can't wait to get their chance at bat.

You're already lost the game before the first pitch.

Because you still don't get this:
They've had this narrative pre-crafted and road-tested for years, and you just woke up and smelled the coffee a month ago. The story is already written, and before you even get to tell your side, they've already got patsies and "crisis actors" all set to play the leading roles.

The assclowns showing up for this are just the extras in the background, to avoid having to CGI the mob into the photo ops.

Walk tall, fucktards.
Walk tall.

And I didn't even have to wait until Tuesday to say "I told you so."

Here's the forecast for next week:

Somehow, it's funnier when Wile E. does it.

ALCON Re: VCDL Clownshow 1/20

“RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT-AP) – Fearing a repeat of the deadly violence that engulfed Charlottesville more than two years ago, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam declared a temporary emergency Wednesday banning all weapons, including guns, from Capitol Square ahead of a massive rally planned next week over gun rights.
The governor, a Democrat, announced the plans at a news conference Wednesday afternoon because of credible threats of potential violence and extremism, one official said.
“Let me be clear. These are considered credible threats by law enforcement agencies,” Gov. Ralph Northam said.
Northam’s announcement comes days after Democratic leaders used a special rules committee to ban guns inside the Capitol and a legislative office building. That ban did not include Capitol grounds, which are under the governor’s control and are where thousands of gun-rights advocates are expected to rally Monday.
Northam decided to ban all guns from the grounds of Capitol Square after receiving reports for weeks about inflammatory online postings by out-of-state pro-gun and militia groups* who are promising to attend Monday’s rally.
“No weapons will be allowed on capitol grounds. This includes everything from sticks and bats to chains and projectiles,” Northam said.
Police are already placing fencing around Capitol grounds and it will close down Friday afternoon at five.

Officials say there will be one way onto Capitol Square Monday morning.
Northam’s declaration will also ban items like helmets and shields, items that some white nationalists carried in Charlottesville. The ban will stay in effect until Tuesday evening."

Well-played, Team Fucktard.
Shoot yourself in the foot. Check.
While it's in your mouth. Check.
No guns. Check.
No weapons whatsoever. Check.
No protective equipment whatsoever. Check.

So, apparently, all that's missing for this soiree will be the boxcars.

GENIUS planning there.

You set the table, delivered the idiots, spotted the iceberg dead ahead, and ordered flank speed forward.

If anyone knows the actual event planners for this party, would somebody please tell Gilligan and Inspector Clouseau that bringing bail money, IFAK blowout kits, and having a signed will and power of attorney would probably be a good first step for all attendees? Tying a dogtag into each shoelace, and writing your blood type on both forearms with a Sharpie would also be a prudent measure.

O, if only someone had expressed some slight reservations about the wisdom of bringing all your flying monkeys to fornicate with this football.

Now, their only play is to wear your Sunday best, show up peacefully (contrary to all the internet blowhard provocateur chest-thumping), and say "Boo!" to the VA legislators. On a holiday weekend, when they aren't even there. That will sure show them!

And hopefully they're the only ones there, and the police are circumspect, polite, and restrained.
And I want a pony, and world peace, while you're up.

The scripts write themselves, kids.

This Ain't Gonna Work Out Like You Thought

They weren't "Californians" when they landed here, nor when they left here.
They won't magically become such when they get to where you are either.
But you're welcome to all you want.

"You all can go to Hell; I'm going to Texas!" - Rep. David Crockett

According to an article by Tyler Durden linked at RLGore's Straight Line Logic, Crockett's sentiment is shared by a growing number of companies seeking refuge from Califrutopia's confiscatory taxation. Which, make no mistake, is as bad as you've heard. You should RTWT, at either place. But as we've pointed out WRT Durden's prognostications before, what he covers is rarely as important as what he unknowingly overlooks. So stealing a line from the late great Paul Harvey, let's tell you The Rest Of The Story you won't get in the OP either place, in a fitting cautionary tale for Friday the 13th.

One quote in it has 70,000 "Californians" (the vast majority of whom are not, and never were, but we'll leave that point momentarily); the awkward paragraph's next quote has 12,900 (15% of 86,000), unless it was aiming at stating that ex-Californians were 15% of all new Texas arrivals, a number shrouded in vagueness.

So Point One, the minor one, would be to figure out WTF number we're aiming at, if you're seeking some precision beyond vague statements that "a lotta people are going to Texas from Califrutopia", which conveys close to zero actual and useable information.

Point Two, the far greater one, is that most of the people leaving CA are geographical gypsies, and have been their entire adult lives. Having no investment in where they came from they plundered and moved on to greener pastures, exactly as they'll do at their next point of alighting.
That prospect, far more than where they landed and plundered last, should scare hell out of anyone in Texas.

They weren't native Californians, people who carved an oasis out of a desert, built the ships and planes of WWII, entertained the world with world-class stories and music, or feed the world annually from their surplus. And, incidentally, voted solid Republican for most of a century, since the territory was founded as a state.

Texans aren't getting them for neighbors.

They're getting the detritus from everywhere from Pigknuckle to NYFC, the second- and third-raters who couldn't survive in the corrupt scumopolii of the East and Midwest, the ne'er-do-wells whose parents stuck it out in the dustbowl or Appalachia or the deep South until long after all the good jobs were gone, and then only moved to Californy after the welfare hammock there made the trip worthwhile, have now sucked it dry, and have chosen a new clueless rube to rob and loot before the husk here collapses from its own weight.

One might be forgiven for having thought Texas would have learned its lesson in Houston after Katrina, but there's always one bozo who has to grab the hot stove two times to catch on.

Tag, Texas; you're it.

You'll be getting the illegal aliens too shiftless to work here, the ones not quite bright enough to climb the cartel hierarchy, the white trash and Diversity Beans who've timed out their welfare benefits, and the proud younger diplomates from the 49th-ranking educational system in the country.

The ones who voted in Gov. Gray Davis, who bankrupted the state by buying its own power back from Enron at 4 times the market price, then became the first CA governor to get recalled in 100 years; the ones who thought Moonbeam Brown hadn't done enough damage to CA in his first two horrible terms back in the '80s, and gave him two more, those who voted for Clinton and Obozo and Shrillary, and then gave us Gabbin' Nuisance as a follow-up to Moonbeam, now finally termed out in his dottage, all while saddling the entire country with Barbara Boxer, the stupidest senator in the country for pretty much her entire term of service, gun-grabbing Sen. Fineswine, and Speaker Nancy Alzheimers, not once, but now twice, because the first time didn't screw the country up hard enough.
Sen. Kamala Klowncar Kneepads, beside this rogue's gallery, is just a latter-day asterisk.

You're getting their voters. To him who has ears to hear, let him listen.

Look real hard at where Davis, and Pelosi, and Boxer are from (Google it, I triple dog-dare you); that's who voted for them here, too, and that's who's moving to Texas, by demographic inevitability. And hey, Texicans, check out your southern counties, and note how your entire state is purpling up nicely, and due to flip (D) forever inside of 20 years, and then tell yourselves you'll be different, and "it can't happen here".

Don't believe me; ask around in Oregon, Washington, Colorado, Nevada, and Arizona. They think they got inundated with "Californians", but mathematics is a rare gift, and they never had the wit to figure out that if all their problem came from here, this state would be as barren  and de-populated as North Dakota or Alaska, even if we threw in half of Mexico here illegally for free.
It simply isn't possible, and never was; those states were inundated not by "Californians", but by people who couldn't ruin Califrutopia fast enough, and just kept moving. We were just the last place they despoiled before moving along. License plates aren't birth certificates, a fact they learned too little, and too slow, if they even know now.

Now it's Texas' turn.

I forward Texas my sincere best wishes dealing with that locust storm, but no matter how I say it, it still comes over as the English translation of a Chinese curse: "May you live in interesting times." You're going to do just that; no doubt. And you're going to get what your governors have been recruiting for, good and hard. Based purely on a lifetime's eyewitness observation, let me assure you it will not be anything like what you'd hoped for.

Oh, and you other folks? Substitute the name of your state patch for Texas, as necessary.
Lather, rinse, repeat.

The next uprising will not be North vs. South.
It will not be Coast vs. Hinterland.
It will not be City vs. Country.
It will not be Everywhere Else vs. Califrutopian Hordes.

It's going to be street to street, and house to house.
Wrap your heads around that, and stop bullsh*tting yourselves.
The biggest threat to your existence for the next 40 years is not coming from Califrutopia, NYFC, or the District of Mordor.
It's coming from within 5 miles of your front door, right effing NOW.
And it always was.

Fake News Clown Show

This morning, ABC News was cock-a-doodle-doing that two other minions with no firsthand knowledge of anything, had corroborated Amb. Sondland's assertion that the president had violated some imaginary law (which the Democrats cannot name or describe, but they're somehow nevertheless sure it must have happened).

The clip above, wherein Rep Mike Turner sticks a knife through the heart of the Dumocrats' star witness, and then twists it, hard, lays bare that corroboration of someone's fever-swamp imaginings does not leap into being "evidence" in any court not presided over by marsupials.

It is merely proof of a shared delusion, and a conspiracy to commit a coup.

That IS against the law.

"If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both." - 18 U.S. Code §2384
Note that happily, there's no ambiguity about this; that the mere act of conspiracy by any two persons anywhere meets the specification of guilt; and that there's no magical "except for members of Congress" clause hidden in there anywhere.

No where, whatsoever.

That makes Adam Schiff-for-brains, everyone who voted to open these hearings on the House Intelligence Committee, and all the witnesses called thus far co-conspirators, and the president is fully within his legal right to direct AG Barr to have those members of Congress and their flunkies, and all the witnesses doing this Seinfeld sham impeachment inquiry ("an inquiry about nothing") wholly without any of the basic Constitutional protections guaranteed to all Americans, arrested, indicted, and prosecuted for sedition.

We wish he would cut to the chase, and simply do so.
We would pay good money to see that on the boob tube day in and day out for the next 9 months.

I'd have to check the math, but rounding up a sufficient chunk of Congress and putting them under lock and key would flip the House, too, leaving Nancy Alzheimer's as the overnight new Minority Leader,  and Kevin McCarthy(R) the new Speaker of the House.

It is a consummation devoutly to be wished.

Bomb. Lame Bomb.

h/t Weasel Zippers

Producers of the perennial fan-fave Bond films apparently didn't get the message from Solo (which, incidentally, was also the number of tickets sold to see it), and also apparently think that Wakanda is real.

So after finally retiring Daniel Craig, after one awesome re-boot, a couple of mediocre outings, the last shitastic James Bomb movie that made David Niven's version of Casino Royale look like Shakespeare, and gave us a villain so lame that Vern Troyer looked tougher onscreen by comparison, the only way to descend lower than dragging a reluctant self-loathing Craig back for even worse performances is the apparent decision to make 007 Lashana Lynch, pictured right, above.

Apparently, Oprah was too fat, Whoopie Goldberg was too old, and Queen Latifah couldn't pull off an English accent.

Since they're going all-out SJW, obliviously unafraid of the fanlash from Kathleen Kennedy's mangling of the Star Wars franchise, Jar-Jar Abrams riding Star Trek into a smoking hole, the epic flops of the chick-laden Ghostbusters and Oceans8 disasterpieces, lesbian Batgrrl, and the buckets of vomit over magical Grrl-Power Captain Marvel, apparently the owners of the Bond franchise have decided to cash out, sell out, and burn the whole thing down to the ground, all at once. Starting right after the next sure-to-be-mediocre sequel, as Daniel Where-Did-My-Career-Go Craig drags his ass out for one last paycheck from Ian Fleming LLC.

Apparently they DGAF that the people who buy most movie tickets are white guys from 15-35. Not chicks-in-da-hood. At least, until Bond 26 comes out.

All that leaves is for Hollyweird to have Grindelwald kill Dumbledore in the next Harry Potter-world flick, and reboot the whole series starring some gay pedophile as the headmaster at Hogwarts, and then cast Pee Wee Herman as the lead in the final Terminator sequel ever made, and their work here is done.

Hollywood: "We f**k everything up, because we can."

This Cretin Is Dumber Than A Bag Of Hammers

This is a congressweasel with an IQ in negative numbers.
This is someone who has arguments with fungus, and loses.

But hear me: I would not harm a hair on her head, nor advocate anyone to shoot this treasonous moron in the face. There are strict laws against that, after all.

But if when it happens, I won't attend the funeral.
I will send a cheerful note expressing my undisguised approval.

And while her district, the Congress overall, and the American people are the big losers as Evita Shitshow Stalin stumbles from gaffe to disaster to flaming dumpster fire, there's one unquestioned winner in all this.

Told You So

h/t Comments

This blog, June 5th:
"I repeat for the record, as of June 5th, based on available evidence, and barring any changes in worldwide response,
this one's going to blow containment.

Get your preps in order.
When it gets out, if it's near you, it'll already be too late." - moi
World Health Organization - Africa, yesterday:
Kampala, 11 June 2019 - The Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO) have confirmed a case of Ebola Virus Disease in Uganda. Although there have been numerous previous alerts, this is the first confirmed case in Uganda during the Ebola outbreak on-going in neighbouring Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The confirmed case is a 5-year-old child from the Democratic Republic of the Congo who travelled with his family on 9th June 2019. The child and his family entered the country through Bwera Border post and sought medical care at Kagando hospital where health workers identified Ebola as a possible cause of illness. The child was transferred to Bwera Ebola Treatment Unit for management. The confirmation was made today by the Uganda Virus Institute (UVRI). The child is under care and receiving supportive treatment at Bwera ETU, and contacts are being monitored.
The Ministry of Health and WHO have dispatched a Rapid Response Team to Kasese to identify other people who may be at risk, and ensure they are monitored and provided with care if they also become ill. Uganda has previous experience managing Ebola outbreaks. In preparation for a possible imported case during the current outbreak in DRC, Uganda has vaccinated nearly 4700 health workers in 165 health facilities (including in the facility where the child is being cared for); disease monitoring has been intensified; and health workers trained on recognizing symptoms of the disease. Ebola Treatment Units are in place.
Also FTR, Here's the WHO party line happy-gas they were passing just 3 days ago:
The continued decline in new EVD cases in North Kivu and Ituri provinces is encouraging, highlighting the commitment of local and national authorities and partners to an effective response to this serious outbreak. All community mobilization activities, focused on enlisting local populations as partners in the response must continue, as well as proven public health measures, in order to capitalize on this trend and bring he outbreak to a swift close.
Allow me to translate that freely, after running it through the Reality Filter™:
"We're f**ked. Your f**ked. Everyone's f**ked. In fact, we're so far past f**ked, we can't even see f**ked in our rear view mirror, with a telescope. The average IQ hereabouts is 75. The average education is second grade. And those are the geniuses. They go to witch doctors. They can't count to 11 with their shoes on. And they think Ebola is caused by evil spirits, or being passed out by the White Devils, instead of the infected blood of dead Auntie, which they then slam dance and play with, bare-handed, after she's dead. After burning the local Ebola Treatment Center and stealing her festering corpse, if necessary. So bend over, grab your ankles, and kiss your @$$ goodbye, because this is going to run hog wild, and there's not a damned thing we can do to stop it. We've tried everything for ten months non-stop, and it's like pissing on a brush fire. Into the wind."

It also bears noting that until now, the closest the disease had come to the border with Uganda was some 50 miles, which the disease, borne by ignorant idiots, hurdled in one move. And this is just the first confirmed case, that they know about.

Twenty-one to forty days from now, it may turn out that they nipped it in the bud, and they heave a sigh of obvious relief.

Or, they find they have 10-50 secondary and tertiary cases, just like in DRC, and the first clue is when 20 people drop dead on the same day, shooting blood out their eyeballs and @$$#$.
And nobody - nobody - can tell you truthfully which outcome it will be, until then.

So the only thing keeping it there, instead of here, with several hundred Congolese refugees now released in Texas, this minute, is that airfare from there to here is more than the average Congolese person makes in a year.

UPDATED 11:55A PDT: Original case kid is dead, two more cases confirmed in Uganda.

(EBOLAVILLE, UGANDA) Uganda announced two more cases of Ebola on Wednesday - a grandmother and a three-year-old boy, confirming that a deadly outbreak has spread for the first time beyond the Democratic republic of Congo.
The Ugandan cases show the epidemic is entering a "truly frightening" phase and could kill many more people, one infectious disease specialist told Reuters.
A five-year-old boy who had crossed into Uganda from Congo died late on Tuesday, said Uganda's health minister, Jane Ruth Aceng, and his family were now being monitored in isolation.
The original Uganda case is dead, and that means he probably had Ebola for three weeks, and was infectious for two. The two new cases mean his parents probably killed two more people, and will ultimately be responsible for hundreds to thousands of deaths in Uganda.

And the shit has officially hit the fan.

Ebola hit Uganda, and officially doubled in 24 hours.
This is now West Africa 2014, all over again.
And I repeat what I said on the 5th:
At this point in 2014, the U.S.A. was 6 weeks from the first Ebola case here when the outbreak had reached this size. (We didn't know that at the time, but that's how it worked out.) The only difference is this outbreak is moving half as fast.
And unlike 2014, we have hundreds of refugees headed here from the exact affected country. This time around, fever (or lack of it) is no longer a reliable tool to screen out the infected from the uninfected.
And it's the only tool anyone, including the TSA, is using.

Meanwhile, WHO had barely 50% of the resources they needed, to monitor Ebola in only 75% of the affected health zones in DRC.
Now they've got to shift some of the resources they already don't have enough of to Uganda, to try and head off things there going totally to crap, like they will.
That will end well. Not.

Sleep tight, folks. Nothing to see here.
