Putincide Strikes Again

Prigozhin bizjet crashes of Suddenly™, all aboard eat shit and die.

Just a week after another Russian senior general running things for the Ministry of Defense, lately jailed, also succumbed to a mysteriously coincidental case of Suddenly™.

Maybe Putin's making them all get COVID boosters. Or something.

Where they'll die of Suddenly™.

Whatever it is, if Putin's army could kill Ukrainian troops as well as Putin gets rid of Russian generals, they'd be parked around the Ukrainian parliament building in Kiev on T-90 tanks, and enjoying a late summer tan in Odessa, instead of getting pushed back in Luhansk and Donetsk, at a snail's pace, but always rearward.

And the Usual Suspects will still convince themselves that the Wagner mutiny "wasn't really a coup attempt."

Vlad's Going To Need More Mobilization Guys...

Apparently, things continue to go so well for Russian forces, that Sr. Col. Vadim Boyko, above, one of the military masterminds behind Putin's wildly successful mobilization earlier this fall, went to his office, where he then shot himself five times, using four different Makarov pistols. Quite a feat normally, but under Putin's regime, one far too easily accomplished every day. Not to worry though. Crack Russian criminal investigators have ruled it another tragic suicide of another heroic Russian senior mobilization officer, heartbroken over the continued Russian success in Ukraine.

This appears to be much like the "suicide" by hanging some weeks back of the officer who then apparently cut himself down, and then dumped his own body in a nearby field.

It's now anyone's guess whether Ukrainian artillery or Putincide are killing more Russian soldiers every week. But it is fun to watch.

And clearly, Russian Roulette rules have now been changed to using multiple bullets in multiple guns, all at the same time. Who thought that was sporting?

Putincide Vs. Partisans

No pension for you, podpolkovnik. War is all hell.

It seems that the man responsible for the current Russian recruiting debacle in one district, to provide cannon fodder for their ongoing disaster in Ukraine, was found dead near a fence at his home. Some reports say he hanged himself, but no one has yet explained how he also cut himself down afterwards and got to where he was found, and no points for guessing how many times he also shot himself in the back of the head and stabbed himself before settling on hanging as the best method of suicide.

"There is rising fury over mobilisation officials forcibly recruiting men with little or no training in apparent violation of the rules. Armed conscript-snatching teams of enlistment officers backed by police have been operating in Russian cities, grabbing men on underground trains, on the street, and in offices."

Either way, whether through popular insurgency, or official displeasure, it's pleasing to know that at least one more lieutenant colonel of the Russian Army will be in a warm place for all eternity. And it's yet another data point letting you know just how well the war is going for Russia, and the actual nature of both popular and official support for it.

As noted in comments, the Potemkin Army is suffering from Potemkin readiness and Potemkin recruiting, which explains much about their Potemkin success. Some folks are going to need to stock up on condiments for all the crow and shit sandwiches they'll be eating if this continues apace. Boo frickin' hoo.
