The Winter Of Their Discontent

The best thing about your blog these days is seeing it over at Western Rifle shooters blog, where it is surrounded by other blogs going over in excruciating detail how wrong you are, and then all of them eating a shit sandwich day after day when nothing they say pans out. You'd think they'd occasionally get something right just on mathematical laws of pure averages, but nope. Never happens.
The sucker in a scam is always the last to admit they were had. In this case the scam was "Putin is the Greatest Field Commander of All Time!", The Man to Lead the Great Crusade against the Globalhomo Conspiracy.
It's bad enough when a supposed American patriot goes full quisling for someone who is openly against all the things that have made America actually great. But to go full quisling for an incompetent is unforgiveable and Biden level stupid.
Remember that America was just as globalist under FDR, but the moral and best thing for America was not to go cheer for the Axis. Then again, knowing a lot of the Putinites, they would have cheered for the Axis, had they lived back then.
"then all of them eating a shit sandwich day after day "
They don't do that. They never address any of the failed predictions at all. They just keep making more of them, and more blatantly false assertions, on and on.
Just the other day WRSA posted a thing from Bracken where he was going on about a Doug McGregor podcast, half an hour long, and Bracken was bragging about how he'd listened to it 3 times and was about to start a fourth. Not a word about how essentially every single thing McGregor has said about this war has been false, often proven explosively false within days. Not a word about McGregor flat-out denying the Ukrainians had retaken Hostomel airport back in February when in fact they had done exactly that. Not a word about McGregor explaining in late August how the Ukrainians were getting crushed and a massive Russian offensive was about to begin. Not a word about how the very first thing McGregor starts off with - the claim that Russia invaded with small groups of infantry and a focus on avoiding casualties - is, to put it mildly, extremely difficult to reconcile with the columns of tanks everyone saw all over the place, following the roads and lacking any infantry support at all, resulting in hundreds of Javelin'd tanks and the giant traffic jam north of Kiev; or the massive artillery barrages that flatten everything and gain the Russians 100 meters at a time. No. No discussion of this at all. Just blindly swallowing and regurgitating the latest programming.
NPCs aren't just on the left.
I had a lot of respect for Bracken at one point. That's pretty much zeroed out for good. Now I'm just wondering if he was always this stupid, and how for me to best to recognize and avoid such dumbasses in the future.
Thinking that the movement of the US to the Balkins and the attack on the Russiian Navy may be related to some historical knowledge that Odessa, Bess-Arabia and part of Romania were once under the control of Russia and that Romania has some significant oil reserves. Russia is unlikely to pull off a fighting advance out of Kherson, so where is the brass ring? All the moves buy the West pre-empt a Russian invasion from the sea in the far left field.
I wonder if the Ukrainians/NATO is reading the tea leaves or if they heard a leak.
Anyone see any verifiable results from the Ukrainian Drone Boat attack on Sevastopol Harbor? Any satellite pictures of damaged or undamaged ships? Somehow, I think Ukraine must have scored, because Russia fired off 50 cruise missiles on Monday morning, and many Russian Cruise Missiles were supposedly launched from the Caspian Sea? But I also remember the satellite photos of the Kerch Bridge with the RR Tank Cars still burning. The absence makes me think the attack was not very successful?
As far as Russian success? Why are the Russians not besieging Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv or Lyman anymore?
Matt Bracken and many other commentators show good knowledge of tactics but fail at strategy. They remind me of the special forces guys who tried to capture Maduro In Venezuela, despite none of them having any experience leading the number of troops planned: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KdXxRspj-ZA
Winning or losing really depends on how you frame the terms. I won't discuss the merits or the actual battlefield contest but let us examine who really is "winning" this war. It's Russia hands down. Their economy and Ruble are stronger than ever They're not the ones who will be freezing to death in the dark this winter They have plenty of gas and electricity They have plenty of export markets and friends
What exactly does NATO have to show for its involvement in a meaningless war? dead Russians? That's it? That's the only thing you did with $80 billion in weapons support?
Not counting the news outlets or websites along the full range of accuracy and veracity, I follow multiple actual individuals' handwritten blogs. (Bot news aggregators don't thrill me.) Looking them over, many are current serving or former military and a couple are some variation of high-speed low-drag elite forces ninjas. Or just funny as all. Because life without humor is just despair. So in other words, the same folks I trusted in the military not to wet the bed, sh*t themselves, or otherwise run around like headless Nancys, are the same folks I trust on the interwebz, for demonstrating pretty much the same trustworthiness and circumspectly responsible behavior. Color me shocked.
Comments are fully moderated, due to idiots and trolls. Grown up discussion here will appear just as soon as I have the time to push it through. ANONYMOUS UNSIGNED COMMENTS WILL BE AUTO-DELETED WITHOUT MERCY, and the url added to the spam filter, or mercilessly mocked at the bloghost's sole discretion. If you're too chickensh*t to come up with an alias for online purposes, you're not tall enough for this blog. Pick a name, and stick with it, and you're good. Get cute, and you're wasting your time and my electrons, and your masterpiece will never see the light of day. No warning shots will be fired. If you can't maintain decorum and polite behavior, I won't toy with you, I'll squash you. If one of your comments disappears, YOU f**ked up. If all of them do, it's time for you to go. Disagree with the points made, on the merits, and you're good. Go after me personally, or other commenters, and your comment will never see daylight here. My tolerance for skirting the line is at absolute zero, and will remain there. Don't f**k up.

The only thing worse than the Russian army is the Russian navy.
John Wilder,
I dunno, I think the Russian Air Force is a contender for the that title
jocko willink in Ukraine?

Sadly, most of those are true...

John Wilder: how's the Russian Air Force stack up?

Russian air force: inflexible, and targets for Ukrainian SAMs and AA. So, mostly ineffective, which is better than the navy or army.
