ric ocasek cashed in way too early. oh well. what can ya do?
Been a Cars fan since their days of playing the Rathskeller in Boston in the late 70s, was turned on to them by my sister's boyfriend who was their sound guy back when he was basically their road crew at the time.
I always like Drive, but I did not "get it" until I married a women who was bipolar/BPD, then it really hit home
My local radio station has played this song on occasion...hauntingly familiar for some reason...
Haunting is a good word. Hard to wrap my head around it being from 1984. Truly great music is evergreen. Always fresh yet still familiar.
