Putin is the equivalent of the ricer who spent tens of thousands of dollars on go fast plastic, fancy rims, custom interior, and neon lights to make his 2005 Civic look like it was a real speed machine. And spent bugger all on the actual drive train, even skipping regular maintenance to get cool decals. Then he spent hours boasting about how he could beat anyone off the line. When race time came, he managed to blow up the engine and transmission.
But his nuthuggers will insist that because the car looked so rad, it has to be the best race buggy around.
Last I checked, Putin was still in charge of the Russian Federation, no? To some extent, I sympathize with your disappointment that Russia failed to collapse into civil war. But only to a small extent, as I regard the collapse into civil war of a major nuclear power as, well, undesirable.
Meanwhile, how's NATO / OTAN's favorite comedian, Zelenskiyyyyy, doing with pushing the Russians all the way back to Moscow? How many billions of "our" money have been sent into his war machine, which probably consists largely of overseas luxury real estate? Has your boy Biden been successful in destroying the ruble? Looks to me as if he's doing a much better destructo job on the dollar.

@Jim Wetzel, I'm not hoping for a Russian civil war, for exactly the reason you outlined. But that's more up to Prigozhin than me or you, i'n'it? A simple coup, by Makarov Retirement Party, followed by people with no dicks on the chopping block, who simply fold their tents, and retreat back to Mother Russia, and blame the whole debacle on the late great Pooty Poot will do just fine.
As for Z, I haven't heard of him vowing to "push the Russians back to Moscow". Maybe you have a source for that Straw Man? They're doing an excellent job of shoving them back inside Russia, considering the early odds had them non-existent as a country by February 28th of last year.
And Emperor Poopypants is not "my boy". And I've spent more time and electrons than you have detailing the decline of the dollar. So maybe spend less time in the cornfield building an army of straw men, and more time responding to what's actually on the table.
Had Putin gone full Stalin and bombed the columns, arrested the survivors and their families, tracked down the leaders and their families for Lubyanka spa treatments, show trials, coerced confessions and executions, he'd be fine.

Not counting the news outlets or websites along the full range of accuracy and veracity, I follow multiple actual individuals' handwritten blogs. (Bot news aggregators don't thrill me.) Looking them over, many are current serving or former military and a couple are some variation of high-speed low-drag elite forces ninjas. Or just funny as all. Because life without humor is just despair. So in other words, the same folks I trusted in the military not to wet the bed, sh*t themselves, or otherwise run around like headless Nancys, are the same folks I trust on the interwebz, for demonstrating pretty much the same trustworthiness and circumspectly responsible behavior. Color me shocked.

wagner were told to retreat through 2 corridors when they were replaced on the line in bakhmut. both were mined 3 hours prior by MLRS rocket.
