Sunday Music: Baker Street

You couldn't get away from this song in 1978, and over forty years later it still wails.

Had it on 8-track tape for the car and the album for home. Great memories.

One of those tunes that makes you stop and listen.
That sax howls into the soul.
So good.

2 others you couldn't get away from were "Escape (the pina colada song" and "I'd really love to see you tonight". Escape" was Rupert Holmes before Buffet covered it, and the other was Dan Seals and Dash Crofts...

For me those 2 are inextricably intertwingled with VaBch,VA because they both played as I got ready for work night shift while I was there.

I love me some Gerry Rafferty.

Foo Fighters does a good cover of Baker Street.

Love the guitar solo. There's Hotel California, then Comfortably Numb, then this solo. One of the best.
