Entitled SJW (and probably functional retard in math, and clearly also history) decides that math is "white supremacy".

(Moonbattery)To make more room for social justice indoctrination, certain old-fangled disciplines will have to be phased out. Let’s start with the racist ones — like math:This is what happens when math professors get degrees without taking any history classes.

A math education professor at the University of Illinois argued in a newly published book that algebraic and geometry skills perpetuate “unearned privilege” among whites.Gutierrez holds it against math that, as in other constructive areas of human endeavor, most of the major achievements have been accomplished by Europeans or people of European descent. It is also perceived as a problem that American math professors tend to be white.

Rochelle Gutierrez … made the claim in a new anthology for math teachers, arguing that teachers must be aware of the “politics that mathematics brings” in society.

“Are we really that smart just because we do mathematics?” she asks, further wondering why math professors get more research grants than “social studies or English” professors.

Further, she also worries that evaluations of math skills can perpetuate discrimination against minorities, especially if they do worse than their white counterparts.

(Evidently because they couldn't pass them.) Because if Professor Snowflake had taken so much as one history of mathematics class - or just clicked on Wikipedia - she would have learned that algebra is the Anglicization of the Arabic

*al jabr*, because the concepts were invented by Babylonian, Arab and Persian scholars, and the first geometry was Egyptian and Mesopotamian in origin, arising from the needs to measure land in countries where rivers ebbed and flowed seasonally, to calculate the paths and appearance of stars and planets in the heavens for making calendars, setting religious days, etc.

In other words

*,*it sprung from

*Not White People*

*.*If only Professor Snowflake had taken that class, and paid attention, she'd realize that mathematics is a universal language, and the truths it teaches are unbounded and unaffected by the user's skin color, race, gender, or anything else.

*Geometry: so fundamental that even women could teach it -*

**800 years ago in Europe**, at the height of medieval patriarchy. And invented by Arabs and Babylonians 3000 years before that.*But still news to idiot "professors" like Rochelle Gutierrez.*Mathematics is, in fact, the universal language, to a greater degree than English.

But dumb jackassery like this is what happens when you take functional retards, and give them affirmative action college admissions, soft grades, and eventually tenured positions because they check an EEOC box or two, instead of for being the most qualified. Or, in this case, even being barely qualified.

The technical term for this affliction is $#!^-for-brains.

She's got a Ph.D. in that.

Most likely from the bottom of a Cracker Jack box.

*Math professorship at U. of Illinois inside!*

Clearly, Rochelle Gutierrez is missing the big point...namely, that God Himself is in favor of White Supremacy because, after all, He invented Mathematics. The bit about Whites being generally better at it really just means that they are generally better at FINDING what The Big White Supremacist in the Sky invented in the first place.

In all seriousness, all that I can say about this is, "FFS! When is this stooopid shit going to STOP, for crying out loud?"

OmG, I'm not even a history major or a math major and even I knew off the top of my head that all of the major forerunners in mathematics came from a specific region with no white people. Math, being a major cornerstone of civilization is general, should have it's basic origin known at a high school level.

Isn't it spelled 'maff'?

Any peek into a college STEM classroom will also tell her they're full of nonwhites, just not her kind.

Aesop,

You missed that she's a math EDUCATION prof, not an actual mathematician. In my final undergrad math class (A math ED class I took because I needed an elective and my advisor was teaching it), the handful of math majors in the class had to work through how to get the computers we were using to properly display the 5th grade math curriculum we were developing. A startling number of the math ED students in the class were having serious problems with the 5th grad math itself. That was 16 years ago, so I can only imagine how bad it's gotten in the interim.

@G-Man:

That explains much, in fact everything except why she's writing a

textbookabout the subject, but in any event, her historical ignorance is so monumental as to require the universities concerned to retroactively yank her degrees.@George True

Mafz is the plural of Maff.

We refer to them in the tech field as a "highly educated dumb ass".
