Sunday Music: Eyes Without A Face

In total contrast to his image as MTV's poster boy for sneering bad boy new wave, Billy Idol produced some of the most beautiful tunes of the era, like this one, a #4 hit in 1984, released as the second single off of Rebel Yell.

That was an amazing album, even beyond the singles - Blue Highway is one of my favorites.

I always though the song had a similarity with "Don't you forget about me". Both were co-written and produced by Keith Forsey. The same can be said about The Cars' album "Heartbeat City" and Def Leppard's "Hysteria", both produced by John "Mutt" Lange. Listen to "Magic" and the song "Hysteria" back to back.
I have too much time on my hands.......
"Rebel Yell" has always been a "desert island" album for me. Steve Stevens is an incredible guitarist.
