I think that was recorded when Micky Thomas was singing with the Starship. He sang lead with Elvin Bishop's band on "Fooled Around and Fell in Love".

Saw them in concert a couple of year later when Grace was touring with them again. IIRC she stayed in the background when they performed this one.
Excellent choice.
I saw them about two years ago with Cathy Richardson. Worth seeing if you never saw them back in the day.
