Time To Cut Dick's Off

h/t Silicon Graybeard

Springfield Armory press release:
"GENESEO, IL, (05/03/18) – Springfield Armory is severing ties with Dick’s Sporting Goods and its subsidiary, Field & Stream, in response to their hiring a group for anti-Second Amendment lobbying.

This latest action follows Dick’s Sporting Goods’ decision to remove and destroy all modern sporting rifles (MSR) from their inventory. In addition, they have denied Second Amendment rights to Americans under the age of 21. We at Springfield Armory believe that all law abiding American citizens of adult age are guaranteed this sacred right under our Constitution.

It is clear where Dick’s Sporting Goods and its subsidiary, Field & Stream, stand on the Second Amendment, and we want to be clear about our message in response. Their position runs counter to what we stand for as a company. At Springfield Armory, we believe in the right and principles fought for and secured by American patriots and our founding forefathers, without question. We will not accept Dick’s Sporting Goods’ continued attempts to deny Second Amendment freedoms to our fellow Americans."
SA has this right, just as Ronnie Barrett was right to refuse to sell or repair his Barrett rifles for state agencies here when Califrutopia banned them for private citizens.

As SiG asks in his post:
"How about it, gentlemen?  Glock, Ruger, Remington, Sig Sauer, Savage, Smith&Wesson, Taurus, and any of the multitude, I'm lookin' at you!"
I second that response. WTF, gun companies?
Stop being cucked by the biggest Dick's in the sporting goods world.
There are other stores to service and patronize instead.

Dicks doesn't want to sell some guns? Fine.
Refuse to sell them any.
Refuse to service any they ship you for warranty repair.
Refuse to accept any they try to return for credit.
Cut off any wholesalers who ship your products to them.
Boycotts work both ways.

If a bunch of Dick's want to be gunless, it's time to make gun sales Dickless.
Then they can compete with the tofu-slurping Birkenstock merchant sporting goods stores for best selection of camping cappucino makers and faggy sandals.

But have some balls, and cut off Dick's.
NSSF threw them out on their asses, and it's time for every other member company to cut them off from any more product, of any kind.

Start hammering the phones and e-mail addresses of those gun companies.
Then ammo makers.
Then accessory sellers.

Me?
After a few sharp query letter, I'm shopping for a Springfield GI-stock 1911 this week.
I'm suddenly in the market.
And for bonus points, it shoves a finger in the eye of anti-gunners in their home state of Ill-Annoy, like f'rinstance Hizzoner, Prince of Gangbangerland, Deadfish Emmanuel in Chicongo.

Cut off Dick's, piss off malignant Libtards, support a solid company with its head on straight and its crap in one bag, and get a solid product to boot.

That right there is a Grand Slam of Freedom.
Bonus offer: The first ammo company to follow suit with Springfield Armory's new policy, I'm buying a full case of their .45ACP.

And for the record, if stickers start showing up at the nearest Dick's, and on inspection tags inside their garment's pockets, and windshield fliers on the cars in their parking lots, day after day and week after week, saying "Dick's hates freedom", it wasn't me, I don't know anything about it, and you can't prove a damned thing.

Because it's on the Internet.
Anybody could have done it.
QED

Dick's doesn't like the Second Amendment?
The First is gonna piss 'em off even more.
Bet on that.

That's not gunfire. It's the sound of Freedom, baby!

Shop at your small local gun stores and help the local economy. There's nothing they have a Dick's that they don't have or can't order for you. It will be time well spent and you'll make new friends. In Hampton Roads there are over 20 place to buy firearms close to me.

I brought a cased 45 LC into Cabela's thinking they might be able to help with a loading problem. The "gun guy" just about had a fit when he asked if I had checked it in with the kid at the front desk. "Nope, sure didn't" said I.
I had to show the kid how to operate a single action so he could check if it was unloaded. I asked what they did about all the concealed carry most every customer practiced and didn't get a response.
Shop small local FFL's and fuck all chain stores.

The DW and I both concealed carried into Cabela's here in Michigan, bearing a cased and unloaded shotgun for warranty work. The gentleman at the door had to inspect it, clear it and re-chamber flag it, himself, and then walk us to the gun counter. Plus side: Cabela's was VERY gracious about refunding the money I had pain for this (used) shotgun, and there was no (further) drama, whatsoever. Having said that, my preference is to patronize the hardware store/gunshop in my home town.

GREAT idea to purchase from Springfield!
I expect mine will be another XD (been carrying one for years now) or another M1A. If I want a 1911 I'll build one
