Thanks for your service, generals. Now get in the bin.
So, we've now established beyond any doubt that:
The Army can neither appropriately select and train officers, nor appropriately discipline enlisted troops. (Brighter lights and prior-service readers will readily grasp how A leads to B.)
The Navy doesn't know how to sail ships in the manner that posed little problem for any one of the 240 years prior to the existence of Diversity and Gender Management Officers.
The Air Farce (always an honorable alternative to military service) can neither field a functional attack aircraft, nor process paperwork (its two root raisons d'etre since forever) sufficient to either support combat troops, nor imprison skull-breaking child abusers and prevent them from purchasing firearms and going on massacres, with a side order of an entire functional command responsible for supervising nuclear weapons from generals to second lieutenants that is rife with cheating, lying, fraud, corruption, and fundamental incompetence.
Well done, Team Fucktard.
This leaves but the Marines, and the doughty Coast Guard as the only remaining bastions of bare competence in maintaining and executing the defense of the republic, such as it is.
(Which, truth be told, is what every generation of them have thought was the situation pretty much every day since at least 1945, if not 1918.) And even those two services each have their own horror stories.
It's time for SecDef Mattis to start retiring general officers from at least three services, and in batches. Assemble a Star Chamber court of review, composed of retired, decorated combat commanders (NOT managers), and congressmen with military service, and start shitcanning generals and admirals. Start with the four-stars. Anyone found lacking, goes. Then the three- and two- and one-star ranks, in the same manner. Simultaneously, flag those at the three-star and lower levels down to colonel/navy captain capable of handling a bump to the next grade up, with an emphasis on war-fighting and mission accomplishment.
Anybody salvageable, but with heavy experience promoting the SJW bullshit rot of the last 8-20 years gets demoted one level. Anyone non-salvageable gets shit-canned, same day.
"Best wishes in your future endeavors. DLTDHYITAOYWO"
They could start tomorrow, and be done by Jan. 1st at the earliest, or the 31st at the latest.
At the end of which time, we should have approximately 1/3 to 1/2 the number of generals and admirals we're carrying currently. That is a "peace dividend".
Then let them know that all retained generals will be scrutinized annually by DoD, with an emphasis on accomplishing war-fighting missions, and that from here on out, "zero defects" will only be applied to field grade and general rank officers, in a career-ending manner, and not to enlisted troops, NCOs, or company-level officers.
You wear the braid, the buck stops there. Time to take one for the team.
And well over half the gutless ghormless m*****f*****s with stars aren't cutting the mustard.
Sadly, Sgt. Major Plumley, David Hackworth and Stormin' Norman Schwarzkopf are no longer with us, but I'd put Dale Dye and Lee Ermey on that board in a heartbeat, and any input, in general or specific, from any living MOH or services' (Distinguished/Navy/Air Force) Cross recipients would be distributed to the entire board for their consideration.
Then we fire the entire staff at all three service academies, turn them over to the recruit training commands, and require, at a minimum, personal awards for combat bravery henceforth for every position there, from commandant to janitor. If the military wants engineering degrees, I hear Texas A&M and Georgia Tech do a fine job of that. Hand out ROTC vouchers. The military academies should be training heartbreakers and life-takers, leaders of men, of the type that make women swoon and men walk through hell, barefoot, over broken glass. While laughing.
Plebes would move at all times with bayonets and fighting knives in their clenched teeth, and upperclassmen with swords and cutlasses at carry arms, with drill dummies placed in the mess halls for practice thrice daily before meals, 24/7/365.
Accidents would just be Darwinism in action.
Summer training periods would be spent as assimilated junior and senior enlisted ranks, and any cadets not getting marks better than those normally holding the billets would be separated immediately for any failure to perform.
The only use for Muslim infiltrators and communists there henceforth should be as demonstrators for the lectures on proper waterboarding techniques, and the SJW Diversity douchebags should be the OPFOR for riot control tear gas deployment demonstrations.
Period.
And formal mess nights would feature drinking implements made from the skulls of defeated enemies. Actual or ersatz, but the point would be made.
I want a military that frightens other countries, and worries our own civilian authorities when they're turned loose on leave. And federal law that would make justified self defense any harm short of killing anyone who spit on a uniformed military person, and a companion UCMJ article requiring blows on any such occasion.
The military should be a barely restrained Rottweiler, not a purse dog.
Generals and admirals who forget that should be reintroduced to the joys of punching a time clock 9 to 5, and being treated like the beta males they are, and that right speedily.

A timely post as there are some 60 admirals in strife for consorting with some Rich Asian douchebag known for bribing most anyone. Not sure where that's going but it's a start.
I figure more admirals than ships is just way too many.
As to:"And federal law that would make justified self defense any harm short of killing anyone who spit on a uniformed military person,"
Change "short of" to including.
Spot on; though I'll differ with you on Hackworth.
One also needs to ENSURE that these bastards don't get to work as contractors unless it's janitorial work (NOT janitorial "management" either).
Boat Guy
Not that it really needs it, but I would add:
1. Women removed from all combat units and warships. No more pretending that women are capable of the same duties as fighting men.
2. Any elected officials and staff on "Armed Services Committees" should also be retired or never allowed input again on how the US military should and does fight to win every war declared by Senate vote.
3. Former flag and senior officers are not allowed to lobby and/or influence those warfighters who took their jobs.
4. Anyone named John Kerry or John McCain are not allowed within 1000 yards of the Pentagon or any military unit.
5. Every member of the military, both officer and enlisted, must reaffirm their allegiance to the Constitution and swear never to attempt to disarm the citizens of the United States.
Hackworth was nobody's fool, which was why he wasn't interested in making the jump to stars, although GED-carrying Hack was groomed for it. You can dislike some of his conclusions, but he put the mission ahead of the men, and the men ahead of everything else, for the entire time he served, and had the Purple Hearts to prove it.
Other additions or changes are, I suspect, superfluous, because if you put the right people into place, they'd draw the logical conclusions, and take care of those problems without much additional supervision.
The essence of civilian oversight of the military is to tell them what you want, and let them figure out how they do that.
We've spent the last 70 years trying to tell them how to be the military, and the W/L sheet, as well as everything I wrote above, shows the utter error of violating that immutable and eternal principle.
I nominate Tom Kratman as an addition to that board.
"Racial slurs posted outside the dorm rooms of five black students at the Air Force Academy"
"Academy superintendent Lt. Gen. Jay Silveria gave his stern speech to cadets shortly after the slurs were reported..."If you can't treat someone with dignity and respect, get out," he said.
In a written statement Tuesday, the academy said, "We can confirm that one of the cadet candidates who was allegedly targeted by racist remarks written outside of their dorm room was actually responsible for the act. The individual admitted responsibility and this was validated by the investigation."
https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/colorado/articles/2017-11-07/air-force-racial-slurs-written-by-1-person-who-was-targeted
And that is why intelligent people (not Jay Silveria) do not jump to conclusions or blow shit out of proportion.
He did both.
In re. Georgia Tech: I think you meant Virginia Tech, also a senior military college. (Although even I, a Hokie, must admit that GT is a slightly tougher engineering school.)
No, I meant Georgia Tech, but it goes for V-Tech, Caltech, and MIT as well.
If the .Mil wants engineers, send guys to engineering school on ROTC scholarships.
The service academies should be producing the hardest of hardcore combat leaders of every generation. Their drop rate should look like Ranger School. The plebe year would be 136% of the graduating class requirements, and 10% attrition annually would be the expected norm through graduation.
And if I were SecDef for 5 minutes, 75% of all applicants would be required to be distinguished prior-service enlisted, and the rest would be battlefield nominees and/or the sons of MOH and Service Cross awardees.
Second the suggestion for Kratman. I'd put him in charge of the review board, come to that.
This is in today's news: "Army lifts ban on waivers for recruits with history of some mental health issues
WASHINGTON – People with a history of “self-mutilation,” bipolar disorder, depression and drug and alcohol abuse can now seek waivers to join the Army under an unannounced policy enacted in August, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY."

I guess if you allow trannies, you also have to allow for these mental defects... Bipolar soldiers in combat, those with a history of severe depression and quite possibly on anti-depressant meds, etc, in combat environs where meds may not be availabe -- now that's a great idea...
*I started a post to reply to you meds and shooter post, but got distracted... Relevant here, coming off of/reducing dosage psych meds results in many more side effects than going on... Something like 1 in 4 folks will have serious side effects for weeks to months when coming off of psych meds.
