Sunday Music: Heatwave
In honor of local weather that's hotter than Satan's underpants (100°+ two days running), classic Ronstadt, from before Parkinson's stilled her singing forever. This one was from 1975, and hit #5 on the Hot 100. Ronstadt spent most of her early solo career singing already-hits plucked from the Motown catalog, and this is no exception, being a cover of Martha and the Vandellas, who had taken it to #4 in 1963.

As I am an old phart, Linda was a heart throb for me for many years.
Back in high school Rondstadt was HOT. Everyone I knew had the poster from the simple dreams album. I enjoy her old stuff and the throwback sounds with the Nelson Riddle Orchestra. She was far Left dating Governor Moonbeam at one time but still she was a Fox back in the day.
Linda Ronstadt was hot in any environment and singing any song!
Comparing that era's crop of singers and song writers to today's bunch, there's just no comparison.

Back in the day, I had a crush on Linda. Sadly, she and I danced to the beat of a Different Drum. Oh well.
Poor, Poor Pitiful you.
Great, great songs. "Living in the USA" again, a cover, but amazing.
