Sunday Music: Lotta Love

The perfect first track from her self-titled debut album "Nicolette", this Neil Young song was when '70s backup-singer-for-everyone Nicolette Larson hit the big time. Still works for me.

Like this one also. I believe her Dad ran one of the mints for the US hence her first name. Think she died young..Too bad

Loved this song when I was young. Still do. Every time I hear it, it takes me back to my childhood. A classic!

Ps - Yes, she did die young from brain or lung cancer I think. Sad...

https://www.stripes.com/news/congo-confirms-1st-ebola-case-in-city-of-goma-1.590331

The Congolese health ministry confirmed an Ebola case in Goma late Sunday, marking the first time the virus has reached the city of more than 2 million people along the border with Rwanda since the epidemic began nearly a year ago.

Oh, are we done with the circle jerk of what’s to be done about Scamerica’s drug and alcohol problems? Did anyone think that maybe things are the way they are because that’s what TPTB want? And that there is nothing that you can do about it, except bitch about it on blogs until those are shut down too.

According to wiki, Nicolette’s death can be attributed to Valium and Tylenol pm, which brings us right back around to the circle jerk discussion of the past few days, how appropriate.

I guess it could be worse, it could be Nairobi or is that just a matter of time?

Any analysis Aesop?

Thanks again for your work.

Saw this just now.

"Democratic Republic of Congo surpassed 2,500 Ebola cases, including 1,668 deaths. It’s the world’s second-largest outbreak and it’s still growing."

Repeated for emphasis:
Unless Ebola gets to an international airport city, or crosses into another country, nothing that's happening is any much bigger deal than the out-of-control outbreak this has always been since we started making it a regular topic to touch base on, last fall/winter.

It continues to slow-roll onwards, and DRC and TPTB haven't contained it, and won't.

We repeat as well: make a plan for if/when (most likely the latter) it gets here, because if we see 16 or more cases, rapidly, we aren't going to do any better than DRC in containing it.

Barring extraordinary developments, expect an update in a couple of weeks, once your calendar says "August".
