Never a fan of him back in the day. I was more of a hard rocker. Now I enjoy his music and miss those simpler times. Same with Gordon Lightfoot.....
Guess he was just getting ready to take a break before the accident. He did leave a legacy.
This particular song resonated so deeply with me that I thought it was written for me and my life at the time. Still reduces me to tears every time I hear it. My snotty Gen X/Millennial kids swear they are only vaguely familiar with the song, and the man. Stupid kids.
