Convicted murderer. Righteously. |
We love it when a story we've been following finally pays off.
DALLAS - Amber Guyger found guilty of murder for the fatal shooting of her upstairs neighbor. Her story was pure undiluted bullshit from the moment she uttered it.
We are right glad a jury had no trouble setting her lies aside (they came back with their guilty verdict on second-degree murder in just five hours), and finding that she murdered the man she had complained about for noise multiple times, including the morning before her last shift as a police officer.
We covered this multiple times when it happened last year, and the discrepancies between likely reality and her fairytale version of events began to resemble the chasm known as the Grand Canyon. Nice to see all the lies she told then finally paying off with this conviction.
It's also nice that with everyone watching, the prosecution didn't throw the case, despite the attempt by the Texas Ranger investigating team to whitewash this assassination under color of authority, by a deranged and entitled douchebadge.
We wish the needle was an option in this case, but since not, would be mightily satisfied if inmate Guyger gets beaten soundly every day from now until she hopefully dies in prison. And goes to hell.
Better luck with that fairytale in your next life, douchebadge. |
UPDATE: Ten years in prison!
That gives the convict population 3652 days to do to her what she did to the guy upstairs.
Dulce et decorum est.
I was amazed they indicted her.
ReplyDeleteI was amazed they prosecuted her.
I am amazed that they convicted her.
Still, she isn't in jail yet, and the sentence hasn't been decided yet. Might want to NOT be in Dallas when they announce the sentence.

Yeah, well, radio commentator Mike Gallagher thinks that there is no way that this is murder - though he does say that she was reckless and should pay a penalty for that. He completely dismisses the idea that the two people involved had any words or problems with each other. Oh, and he's also an idiot because he is reflexively defending the officer.
ReplyDeleteI am very pro-police, so long as they actually do their job while staying within the confines of the Constitution and laws that adhere to it. But this woman HAD TO KNOW that she wasn't entering her own apartment - the mat out front was different, and all of the furniture was different. She could have, if she really and truly believed that her own apartment was being robbed, simply left and called for backup. Had she done that, her neighbor might despise her, but he'd be alive to do so.
No, she murdered this guy. The jury got it right.
It only took the jury 5 hours to reach a verdict...nuff said. If she makes it a year in lock-up without getting shanked, I will be surprised.
ReplyDeleteUsed to be cops were segregated in prison. Perhaps some shank-justice would be appropriate, but not until she's had a full ration of suck

"We wish the needle was an option in this case, but since not, would be mightily satisfied if inmate Guyger gets beaten soundly every day from now until she hopefully dies in prison. And goes to hell."
ReplyDeleteThis is what's kept me coming here daily for the past two years. Keep it up.
She should of never been a cop in the first place...I hope they sue the city since she was still in uniform...
ReplyDeleteI'll avoid celebrating until the appeal is finished and she actually goes to prison. Too often, these rare cases of a cop getting convicted get overturned on appeal.
ReplyDeleteJust saw she got ten years.

A needle would be cheaper.
ReplyDelete.
NSF
Public execution would be more appropriate.
ReplyDeletePour encourager les autres.
Turns out her victim was a f-cknozzle also. But she offed him. 10 years is her sentence.
ReplyDeleteThe vic's mother came out and gave a list of who her dindu a$$ is going to sue which is everyone from the Rangers on down. If you are okay with that kind of grifting I can't say much.
Grift?
ReplyDeleteHer murder victim was guilty of nothing but pissing her off for allegedly making noise in the apartment on top of hers, which in her mind (and apparently yours) justified her to become judge, jury, and executioner of the death penalty.
She calculatingly assassinated the guy in the upstairs apartment, and then told a fucking recockulous fairytale about it, because she thought she could get away with it, because badged asshole!!!
I hope the murder victim's family sues everyone back to the OB doctor that delivered her onto this planet, and forward to everyone from the mayor and chief of police on down to her supervising sergeant, and I hope they win every case.
That's the only thing that gets the attention of TPTB.
She's a douchebadge who never should have been hired, and clearly a psychotic killer. These are now all legal facts, not opinion.
Go back and read the 7 posts I linked to from last September, then get back to me.
There were additional prosecutorial stabs at showing her explanation was pure bullshit, like the fact that she was not exhausted on her 30 second drive home, nor confused, but had been, in fact, lucidly sexting a co-worker the entire time she was going home, up until she murdered the guy.
This wasn't an accident, for 87 reasons, it was an execution.
She should have gotten one of those herself, if justice were closer to the name.
Ten years of getting beaten and punked in prison, and being a pariah for life if/when she ever gets released, will have to suffice.
If she slips in the prison shower and turns up all dead from an unfortunate fractured skull and broken neck, so much the better. In that eventuality, we will rejoice, and think it sweet and fitting.
She's an embarrassment to humanity, let alone law enforcement.
If you're okay with that kind of socipathy wearing a badge, I can't say much either.
I do not disagree and think she deserved a longer sentence than she got. All you say is true BUT Dindu's Mommy got on TV and exposed her own grift THAT was my point. She is going for the big payday.
ReplyDeleteThere was lots and lots in the locals here (DFW) about them both. Did you know she was thought to be bonking him at one point? That he went out of his way to be a douchenozzle to all the other residents?
IDGAF.
ReplyDeleteCops don't get to be the local hanging judge, just because badge.
If they chained her by the heels and dragged her around behind the victim's family's car for a week, it would still be too light a sentence.
The city hired Killshot, so they can pay the freight for going for defective diversity over someone stable enough to do the job. If that means Dindu's family gets a lotto payout, so be it.
The other problem is that this makes the job that much tougher for the officers there that aren't psycho killers. They should each get to punch her in the mouth on the way to the prison bus.
Everything else is petty bullshit that has no bearing on the case.
Even if the victim was the biggest douchwad ever birthed, he was still guilty of nothing but eating ice cream in his apartment when she executed him.
No slack for murderers.
10 years for blatant murder is no justice. Twenty minimum should have been the sentence. That's what a "person of color" would have been awarded had circumstances been similar, except "police officer". Unfortunately no message has been sent to the boys in blue.

Guyger’s lawyer was an idiot to put her on the stand unprepared so she could answer the one question wrong that probably convicted her.
ReplyDeleteProsecutor: “Did you intend to kill him?”
Guyger: “Yes.”
No you idiot! You intended to stop the threat, not kill anyone.
Her lawyer should be flogged.
"the man she had complained about for noise multiple times, including the morning before her last shift as a police officer."
ReplyDeleteDo you have a source for this? I'm not doubting you, but I'd love to be able to use this when people start defending her.
@Old Sarge
ReplyDeleteFollow the seven links to my postings last year, and follow the breadcrumbs.
It was acknowledged and widely reported at the time, she had made multiple complaints against the guy "she didn't know", including the morning before her last shift.
She drove home, and per witnesses at the scene, knocked on his door demanding he answer, and when he did, she shot him.
There's no other way automatic locking fire doors with automatic closers (like every exterior door in that complex had) opens any other way. There's no way his door was "ajar", and she couldn't open it unless he did that unless she picked it. She confronted him, backed him in, and shot him in his living room, then claimed total confusion.
Occam's Razor cuts her story to the bone.
Everybody parroting her recockulous claims as though this was all just a big terrible mistake is doing a disservice to reality and common sense.
She should have stood for murder one.
No one testified at her trial that she knocked on his door that night. If there were witnesses at the scene who saw that it seems they would have testified to it in court because that totally destroyed her defense of entering the wrong apartment.
ReplyDeleteRegardless, Guyger is no longer a badged orc looking to kill and the rest of us in DFW are a little bit safer.
Now a key witness has been found dead from multiple gunshot wounds.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/oct/06/witness-in-amber-guyger-case-found-shot-dead-in-dallas
Well that's what gangs usually do to someone that testifies against them...Why would you expect anything different...
