We knew the Russian Army once stopped the Germans at Stalingrad. We just didn't expect Marshall Putin to draft veterans of that war now.
Forward movement? They'll be lucky to accomplish a bowel movement.
And offensive operations will have to halt every day for the 2PM nap time. But now everyone will know what the Zs on their vehicles stand for: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
And their medics will need to add nitroglycerin and Flomax to their aid kits.
What will be the most important logistical item to supply to this army? Depends.
I thought that had to be a faked pic.
ReplyDeleteThen I google-searched it.
Absolutely spot-on true.
It's worse than anyone thought.
There were pictures of their 50- and 60-year old wives saying goodbye at the train platform. It looked like a Ladies Knitting Club meeting.
This is just sad.
Putin's actually drafting his grandpas. For a winter war.
Perhaps you folks should be concerned about biden's endorsed and encouraged foreign invasion of FUSA's once sovereign border !
ReplyDeleteUkraine is not a FUSA national security issue. But, 2,500,000+ foreign invaders is not a concern for biden communists and Amerikans like AESOP.
Pitiful.
Don't be a fuckwit, Dan.
ReplyDeleteI spent five years on the border, apprehending actual illegal aliens, at gunpoint, and have covered the topic on this blog more times than your post has IQ points.
Unlike you, I helped get a sitting US president to greenlight and construct 10 miles of uncrossable border fencing as a direct result of the pressure applied.
I secured my 10 miles. 300 more groups do the same, and it becomes a non-issue.
So, what have you done? Fuck all, I'll wager.
I'll let you take your screed down yourself, if you're man enough to do it.
Otherwise it can stand as a monument to your own ignorance.
That's gonna leave a mark! Takedown level infinity, stay on the porch Dan
ReplyDeleteThey DO look like tough old birds.
ReplyDeleteIf we were attacking Moscow or St. Petersburg, and they were defending, I'd likely agree.
ReplyDeleteBut sending them to take Ukraine for Vlad's fever dreams? Not so much.
Sitzkreig, in 3, 2, ...
Didn’t mean it’s right to send them, just that they look like tough old birds. Contrast that with equivalent Americans.
ReplyDeleteThe most likely suspects are the CIA/USN/Poland. The Poles want their new gas pipeline from Norway to Poland to be a sole source.
ReplyDelete"“To my knowledge, being a former frogman but not EOD, after locating a mine on the sea floor, they are blown up.
Not sure if these Kingfish UUVs take along an attached demo charge to leave on the mine, but that's my educated guess.
Or, for a "very high value target" (like a pipeline) the Mark 18 could be packed with demo and parked next to the pipeline.
Most units like these are modular, so it's not a big deal to add a meter or so containing an explosive stage in the middle.
If the POTUS ordered the USN to blow up the NS1 & 2, IMHO, this is how it could have been done.
If this happened, quite a few USN personnel know about it. I'd love to read their NDAs. They will probably all be transferred to separate "Ice Station Zebras" where they will not be available for testimony.
Much more info about the Mark 18 "Kingfish" UUV at the link.” - Matt Bracken"
Some of those men could be big trouble for Ukraine. as there are likely veterans from the Soviet's war in Afghanistan. Experienced, and already experts at losing an unwinnable war. A smart Russian commander shouldn't go to sleep with these men nearby.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking most of them will be mustered to garrison duties in outposts, and rotate the troops there out? That way those troops (with fresher training) would be more useful. I do note that none of them have panzerfausts . . . yet.
