To Russia, With Love |
I don't care who you are, that's funny.
Ukraine, amidst a national war for survival against Russia's tender embrace, had time to vote on social media to select a new stamp.
The winning design commemorates the final radio message from Ukrainian border troops on Snake Island upon the opening of hostilities, a phrase that will live down through the ages as the 21st century equivalent of "MOLON LABE". Dulce et decorum est.
This is not a people who will ever be subjugated, whatever the eventual outcome on the battlefield.
I want a sheet of these.
[Pro Tip: If Ukraine made this as a morale patch, they could finance the whole war.]
Yuck! yuck!

The video has a cute diddy celebrating the success of the Ukrainian use of the Turkish Bayraktar drones. Near the end of the video is a sequence showing Russian equipment being trucked into the Ukraine. one interesting bit of hardware is a box on a tank chassis, known, as I recall, as a Borodino. It is a rocket-propelled flame thrower. The box holds about two dozen rockets with Napalm-like warheads. This beast was designed after the Russians took horrendous losses digging fighters out of the rubble of concrete buildings in the Chechen War.
Be careful, lest that "bird" get flame roasted by Putin's chef. After enough conscripts get killed, it looks like the Russians will go in "hard". I'd guess that Putin expected a negotiation that would have granted him the gas-rich DonBas and the Crimea thus removing the threat to the Russian gas monopoly over Europe. The Ukrainians fought well with the weapons supplied by Europe and Biden just filled his diaper, so I'm guessing that Putin, the old KGB bastard, thought he has no choice. Burn, Uke, Burn! This is going to be 4+ ugly.
Seems it is Buratino TOS-1 Rocket system.

Careful with that bird......
For all the nitwits who keep trying to post that the incident "never happened", you're simply historically ignorant fucks. The only part that "didn't happen" was that the border guards there were captured, rather than killed outright. That's fog of war, not propaganda. The island was still shelled to shit after they refused to surrender, which was why everyone thought they'd been killed.
ReplyDeleteTell me the Alamo defenders would have been less brave if they'd been captured instead of slaughtered. Then look up Corregidor. And tell me how un-brave the 8 B-25 pilots and crew captured after the Doolittle Raid were.
After you take your cleats out of your dick.
A new pose for us Deplorables. I like signals when conversation can't be heard.
