Uncle Joe left 250,000 dead Soviet troops* to fertilise the forests and glades of Finland, despite eventually winning the Winter War of '39/'40, all over an isthmus of land in a strategic recce position that he wanted back from the Finns, who'd had it only 20 odd years. I doubt that Vlad will have to wear such a cost, but one there will be to pay! *No, I can't provide a source for that figure. I doubt that those Commies would have been very chunky, say an average of 60kg? That is 15 million kilos of organic matter to enrich the soil!
