From The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare...

A blast from the past, because some things never go out of style.

The 1st Sergeant reminds you that you'll see this material on the final exam.

And the S-2 informs us that at last look, the 9th Marquess of Queensbury is still dead.
Fight dirty.

  1. Nothing wrong with fighting dirty.
    Nothing dishonourable about it either.
Fight to win, i.e. fuck the other guy up as quick as you can.

  2. The book Kill or Get Killed isn't what is being referenced here but its a hell of a good read

As it happens I met the author the late Rex Applegate as a youngster and while I regret not being quite as respectful as I should have , he was in his 80'an amazingly dangerous guy and impressed my little brain with the notion that I wanted to be a fraction as scary. I might have made a tiny bit of progress that way , hopefully.

Since we are going old school, in the event you are using a revolver and some people will, Ed McGivern's Fast and Fancy Revolver shooting is a fun read. Much of the information is still valid and remember kids, revolvers don't leave brass

  3. Here's a link to the pdf version of the book, if you're interested.

  6. SpecWar had a good course in the 80's-90's called SCARS. The guy who taught it Jerry Peterson, now offers it commercially. Otherwise Krav Maga is about as good as you're gonna find if you didn't get the good stuff.

  9. I did a course (wilderness course) with an ex-SAS trooper. The instant I laid eyes on the guy I knew he wasn't someone to mess with. But to describe him he was just a lean short(ish) guy. Not muscular. No tattoos. Nothing you could put your finger on but he did emanate an aura.

  10. You know what Mama used to say, "The next best thing to fighting and winning was fighting and losing."

The term "fighting dirty" was invented by a mouthy, stupid, sissy that was getting it's ass kicked frequently because of said mouth and it's inability to learn from it's mistakes. Like the amcoms of today.
