Yippie Kay Yay

It took approx. eight years to get to 1M views. It took 12 months for the next million.
Happened to notice on the odometer today we rolled over the 0s again, sometime in the last half hour. It's taken 9 1/2 months for the third million looks. Perhaps we're getting the hang of this.

I appreciate the links, looks, and comments.

Thanks for stopping by.

UPDATE:
Would whoever just gave this blog 5K hits in the last 15 minutes without a source link tell me how you did that?

Because I could monetize this bitch, and retire next week.
It's like someone told China to look at this blog all of a sudden.
I usually only get that kind of response when I get linked on Instapundit or Tam's.

  1. Working up to Aesop for President 2024! :)

Well deserved hit counts. There's nothing makes my day online these days than an epic Aesop rant that drives arrows straight through the bull.

  3. He might could be out now, if he didn't get shivved inside because of his personality.

  6. I started following your blog after seeing a link to you on WRSA regarding the Las Vegas shooting. I've been coming back here ever since. Figure 2 or 3 clicks a day from me. This site is the first click of my daily Blogroll.

In short, thank you. Until you get rich or get disappeared I'll be stopping in regularly.

The counter only counts unique clicks.
Otherwise editing, proofreading, fussing with my own posts would be 500/day, minimum.

  9. I link to you from my Gab page and sometimes my Facebook to a select group of friends. They all get a kick out of it and I'm pretty certain a lot of them have made your blog a regular stop in their reading. Congrats, and keep up the super writing!

  10. Congratulations! I came here via both Weaponsman and your nursing blog. I've worked with a couple former marines and some other like-minded deviants whom I've pointed your way. (One was a trauma nurse from Cleveland who already knew your site and claimed to have worked with you..?) Keep it up, love your writings!

  11. Those numbers are apparently a thing, so congratulations. From this end, mostly thank you. Entertaining, usually told well, ala masthead (and he should know). So thanks for that. Since first click from WRSA way back it's part of my regular "route" with AM coffee.

Keep on like a Gila Lizard for how that dang corpse in LV got all those rounds off, 'cause he sure was healthy enough while he was gambling most of the night downstairs while his own suite lccks were being tripped multiple times. Simply magic, but then it's Vegas. (I save my tin-foil for Idaho bakers, tossed on the coals.)

  16. Great numbers and well deserved. Your insightful shiv'em between the eyes posts are always entertaining, at the same time as giving food for thought.

Came originally for the Ebola articles back when that was a thing. Only occasionally once that ceased to be an issue, until recently when you seem to have kicked it up a notch or three.

  17. I started coming here daily in 2015 during the big Ebola outbreak in West Africa. This blog was and still is the ONLY source of accurate information I could find, and Aesop was the ONLY reporter covering the REAL story of how close we came to having it spread out of control, and how woefully unprepared we were and still are today to handle a real outbreak here.

I know a guy who works for CDC, he is a PhD in microbiology. He lives here in AZ, but spends 3-4 long days a week at CDC on Atlanta. He commutes back and forth on one of CDC's corporate jets. He has his own lab at CDC, and his specialty is food-borne illnesses. Anytime there is an outbreak of salmonella, e-coli, etc in this country, he and his Go Team are the ones who get sent there immediately.

Anyhow, I used to see him several times a week. Then in late summer/ early fall of 2015, he disappeared for several months. When I finally saw him again, I asked him where he had been, and he told me he had been in Sierra Leone for the last two months. CDC had sent literally everyone they had. If it had gotten out of control, according to my friend, CDC had absolutely nobody left to send. That is how stretched to the limit we were.
