Confirmed!

50 Aye, 48 Nay
There's only one response I can post to this vote:

And for those addicted to Racissssssss! Tourette's, I remind the brighter lights among you that this anthem was played by the Union Army band at the White House after Lee surrendered at Appomattox, and at the specific request of President Lincoln.

Now it's time to exploit the breakthrough, and start grinding fleeing enemy under tank treads, to drive the point well and truly home.

Hopefully a steady drumbeat of strict constructionist decisions from SCOTUS for the balance of Mr. Justice Kavanaugh's term will help in that regard.

  1. I know a lot of people have been saying that when RBG shuffles off this mortal coil (assuming she hasn't already and is just being propped up Weekend-at-Bernie's style), Trump should replace her with Barrett. I've been thinking, though; maybe the thing to do would be nominate Merrick Garland in her place and then put Barrett on when Thomas retires.

Garland is not a conservative or a good jurist in any way, shape, or form, of course; but it would raise "epic trolling" to a whole new level.

  2. Eat shit commies. Eat large piles of smelly human shit, shit from your own bowels, the same shit you have put in front of us for 50+ years. Choke on your own pestilential shit and suffocate. Quit stealing free peoples' oxygen.

  5. Man, you guys are going to hate 2024. As the pendulum swings, so it swings back.

  6. The Dim's screwed themselves biggly here. Not only is Kavenaugh going to assist in taking down most of the leftist laws and regulations imposed on the deplorables since the Warren court, he's going to be doing it for the next 25 years or so, maybe (hopefully) longer. After the despicable way in which he was treated during this shit show, the payback is going to be EPIC, starting on November 6, 2018.

What I really can't wait for is the shittiest of shit shows that's going to play out when Ruth "the hag" Ginsberg assumes room temperature. Now that is going be worth an investment in Orville Redinbocker.

  7. I woke up today, took my winnamins, and BOOM I felt great. I am not tired of WINNING! Had a few adult beverages, but didn't throw any ice or play any "Devil's Triangle" in honor of "Kegger" Kav!

It will be interesting in 2019 as to who retires from the USSC. Breyer and Thomas both want to hang it up. Breyer, because he's old and Thomas, because he just wants to drive his RV around the country. RBG, well, will see when she gets the call...

I am going to love 2024 when Pence and Haley are elected President and VP....

    1. I'd like that bumper sticker. I think the voting public will drop Pence like a used condom the second he leaves office. Guy was only ever useful as a landmine for the 25th amendment folks. Now Karen Pence in 2024, that I could see

  8. The Democrats pendulum is going to have to swing HARD back to the middle if they hope to stand a chance in hell in '24. Little tip: Americans, as they LEARN about socialism, DON'T LIKE IT. Millennials and minorities are now nicely and gainfully employed in record numbers and enjoying good paychecks, while seeing what taxes actually are and what they GET for those taxes (not a lot). A LOT of them are moving away from the coasts and to the center of the country (the coasts are expensive and typically have more crime, minus Chicago), where they're brushing up against more conservative people, and so THEIR views are mellowing to the middle. The old hardcore socialist Boomers are starting to die off. That leaves Gen Z, who are already MUCH more fiscally conservative than their immediate Millennial predecessors. Gen X (would be me) are too small a voting block to give a damn about, but we're looking at retirement in around 15 years and so already lean fiscally conservative anyhow. Since the nutball "free shit army and cry about everything" wing of the Democrat party has taken over completely, no, I actually don't think we'll see any major pendulum swing to the Left in government for a LONG time. People vote their wallets and memory, and the memory of a 2-term Democrat who governed over MASSIVE economic malaise, COMBINED with this histrionic hissy fit like we saw today at the confirmation - that's going to leave a harsh mark for a goodly while. You have 6 years to overcome that image of a bunch of socialist whiny asshats. Good luck with that.

    1. Oh no, Dems are done by '22 when folks realize they're basically 90's Republicans in drag. It's what comes after the Dems that you're gonna (not) love. They'll make the current roster of Liberals look like a bunch of gun toting, small gov, Bible thumping Patriots with red, white and blue erections and they will remember both 8 years of (no) hope and (some) change and 8 years of MAGA. And they will be PISSED. Luck? No, this is the future, son!

  9. This is round one of a major three round championship fight. We won this one. The next one is November of this year, and the third round is November of 2020.

    1. I give 2020 to Trump. Unless the Dems can come up with something other #AnythingbutTrump, they'll go the way of Republicans in the 2016 primaries.

  13. The best defense is a swift offense. Now is the time for Republicans to take full advantage of paying back the assholes of the last administration, and they can do it by just following existing laws.
