Sunday Music: That Girl Could Sing

Jackson Browne's almost-Top-Twenty ballad-to-rock hit from 1980, about the ultimate elusive woman, which was eventually (after her passing) revealed by Browne to have been inspired by one of his back-up singers.

Good album, but for some reason it just didn't gell for me as Running on Empty did. Last one of his albums I ever bought.

Clyde the Glide always was my favorite. Working graveyards at the weapons station, pestering the poor DJ to play Rock Me on the Water again.

But Clyde backed the fem-fascists, the empowered homos, and the satanic Sandinistas plus the rest of the Prog Politburo. They're his new friends. Silver Lake is only a memory now and no, I ain't taking any woman with me when I go.
