No, not South Carolina...MCAS Beaufort. The crash site may have been found. If the autopilot was engaged before the ejection, that crashed so near the undisclosed INCIDENT that doesn't speack well of the aircraft's software.
Aircraft was at 1000 ft. altitude. Crash site is 60 miles from ejection position. F-35B has a computer controlled ejection decision if certain parameters occur, to protect the pilot naturally.
