I don't know why it stays in my memory that G. Gordon Liddy was a huge Abba fan. 70 years on and some things I heard on the radio (listened to him most days) have never faded. Your video there made some synapse fire, I suppose!
You are not supposed to enjoy ABBA, or the Eagles, or Queen...but they are today's guilty pleasures it seems. As least for me. I'm sure other people have other bands that come to mind, but for me those three, maybe Fleetwood Mac or some others; they are so much a part of my mental sound picture...Completely ubiquitous, not at all 'refined' or 'cultured' but truly popular music. Thanks. Horrifying thought? Do you suppose Bieber or Swift will be the next generation's mental soundscape?
Here's some heresy for you: I always thought the A-Teens did a better job with nearly all those songs, this one included. This version feels half-asleep to me now.
I even got the idea somehow that Upside Down was an Abba original also. Quite surprised when I eventually learned otherwise.

Hated it when I was a kid, love it now.
