I'd like to see the ground track, altitude plot and corresponding winds aloft charts for the period this abomination was in US airspace.....was it actively varying altitude to alter it's ground track to overfly sensitive military establishments? When was it first detected? Etc... Chances of those data being released to the public? Slim to none.
The Chinese could have painted it sky blue, if they had wanted to disguise it. So it's possible/likely they wanted it to be detected.
As there's another one somewhere over Latin America (& allegedly a third one somewhere), it'll be a case of 'interesting times' - a distraction perhaps, but from what?
