Dear Mayor Beetlejuice

 h/t WRSA

Election to any office confers neither godlike omniscience, nor omnipotence.

Hell will have its due.

In this republic, The People retain ultimate power. Not any branch of the government. Tyrants, wherever and whenever confronted, will be reminded of that truth with due alacrity,  vehemence, and extreme prejudice, until the lesson takes. ZFG.

Never forget what they tried to do, and what they'll do again given half a chance. And point out the hot stove.

But if they insist on grabbing it with both hands anyways, Reality is the cruelest but surest teacher.

  2. They are out of straws to grasp. Going back to their old playbook. The comedy of it is the best.

  3. That's one of the most beautiful love letters to a politician that I've ever read. Have you ever considered a side gig as a writer of trashy romances for Harlequin?
Suggested first title: Cherry and Her Claymores

  4. Best-case scenario is the Chicago PD mutinies. I don’t mean the politically-connected brass, but the rank & file. Unlikely, I know, but would be the least bloody outcome.

  5. Please carry on, if required. That thing is obviously some sort of space lizard anyway.

  6. Aesop,
Here's a few interesting links. You may have already seen them.

  7. Why is the formatting in your posts so bad? For example, there's a huge amount of blank space in this one. Is it a bug in the Blogger software?

  8. Lori thinks that she is well and above the common man or woman. I will remind her that even Saint Joan of Arc, who COULD fight with and lead true soldiers, humbled herself to God. No passes for asses.

  9. Thanks for the energy in your commentary, again. It is a recharge for me.
Question on my min d, almost always now; when will there be an accounting for the "leaders" that forced so many folks and kids! to take to vax?

Will there EVER be an accounting?

Both of my adult kids took the vax, to save their jobs which they were both starting out in their chosen fields. I hope and pray every day that they are lucky and no ill effects.

One is an emergency dept. nurse, and the other is local law enforcement.

In another time these are great professions and good for the community, maybe not so much now.

Thanks Aesop for your insights and inspiration.

  10. I'd say, "Reporting for duty sir" but for several issues to wit:
1'd hate to sound like that ass John Kerry.
I'd hate to give any FBIe cause to think there is some sort of conspiracy afoot.
Lastly, you don't know me, nor I you, and we might find each other an idiot or unbearable boor.
All that said, yours is one of the blogs (trip wires) I check daily to check the state of nation.
Can't run to the sound of the guns anymore but can still stand in the breach.

  11. She's more Groot than Beetlejuice, I think.

OH wait! Groot had a USE when he grew a new haft for Mjolnir.

Beetlejuice never HAD that level of usefulness.
    I yield.

  12. @Duke of URL,

I don't know what you're talking about, but I'm not looking at this on a cell phone.
A two-line gap is hardly "huge".
    Get over it.

  13. Aesop, neither am I - I'm on a desktop computer with a large LCD monitor. It's not 2 lines - it's usually a very long scroll.
