  1. The ironic thing is that if Trump was the sitting president, and was doing the same policy things as Gropey Gramps, a vast majority of the current Putin Simps would be supporting Ukraine.

Conversely, a lot of the Left would now be simping for Putin.

  2. I understand Putin's reasons for invasion and the West could have averted this or not thrown a coup in 14 but Putin lost me when he invaded past the provinces he recognized. I understand why he did it but I can't defend an agressive invasion.

    1. In how many countries does American have solders stationed?

How many CIA/Military/State Department wars have there been in your lifetime? And this is the one you jump up at? Something about a mote in thyne neighbor's eye...

On a seperate note, influential and powerful people told us with fervent religious conviction that Trump was a Russian stooge, and NO backtalk was allowed.
Then they switched to using the same religious ferver and NO back talk allowed about fear the virus and hate the unvaxxed.
Now it is all Russia bad, Ukrane heroes, with religious fervor and NO back talk allowed.

Maybe your right, Putin is bad and Russia also. But I wouldn't bet on it based on those authorities.
By the way, have you read anything that wasn't Regime Propaganda? Moon of Alabama org or The Saker dot is?

  3. The best thing that could happen to the U.S and Russia would be for the current leadership of both countries to be annihilated. Biden is a corrupt and incompetent fool; and Putin is a KGB man in the model of Dzerzhinsky. Let's just hope they don't take the rest of us with them.

  4. I like a few of the things that Putin has done, such as banning Fecesbook, but otherwise, my sympathies are with the Ukrainian people.
One way to look at all the criticism you're getting is that you're over the target, hence all the flak you're taking from the keyboard commandos. Of course, i'm another one myself, just a man with too much free time and an Internet connection.

  5. Sigh. What is really amazing is how these weapons of mass destruction (nuclear, chemical and biological) keep moving around. First they were in Iraq, then showed up in Syria. Now they are in the Ukraine!! Complete with Nazis!! Anyone taking any bets that if Putin (savior of western civilization and Christendom) pulls this off, these weapons will amazingly appear in Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, etc. Complete with goosestepping stormtroopers. Hmm, wouldn't be surprised if they pop up in Alaska. You know, about 50 miles away from Russia. Putin (savior of western civilization and Christendom) would be justified in invading. I mean Alaska belonged to Russia until 1867 when the illegitimate and overthrown Tsarist regime sold it to the U.S. I am sure that a vote (backed up by tanks and aircraft) held by the millions of native Russians living there would, of course, vote to return to Mother Russia. (Sarc off)

  6. Aesop, the inability of so many to hold two competing ideas at the same time - in this case Putin invading was wrong and that by saying that one is "supporting" The Current Occupant - is disturbing. It certainly feels like we have lost the nuance of being able to think critically, and in fact is just another version of the modern "cancel culture": one sees thing one way or one is a pariah.

And, of course, it destroys the long game: the comments will live forever and be used as evidence that those that may disagree with current system are "". You do not win by giving your opposition weapons (Sun Tzu, probably).

I am pretty sure that those who, in the early 1930's, praised Hitler and Stalin and Mussolini came to regret their words.

  7. I wonder when "The Science" Fauci and the head of the CDC will decorate Pikes to calm the angry mobs?

  8. 1) In how many of those countries are those soldiers installed there by force, against the wishes of the host nation? Zero.

    2) The beauty of CIA wars is one never knows how many there have been? What's your point?

    3) If they told you breathing was bad for you too, how long would you hold your breath, out of spite?

    4) I'm not betting on anything "based on those authorities". That's where you lose your shit. I'm using common sense, and my lying eyes. Not running off a cliff because jackasses said I could fly.

    5) The Saker was known and described by WeaponsMan as "that old communist". Putin isn't the only one who admires and misses the Soviet Union. So to which regime's propaganda are you refering?
