Its probably for the better. Anyone with sense is going to have to leave California sooner than later.
Normally I'd suggest a bit farther East but the drought is about ten years out from rendering the West mostly uninhabitable. South or Midwest or East is where the water is and. Bets to get there before you become a water refugee.
Aesop, I am in a similar situation. While my corporate health care employer has not not yet mandated the COVID-19 clot shots, the elected dictator of my state of residence issued a “public health order” last week mandating the jabs for hospital employees. I am currently in the process of filing a religious exemption based on, among other thing, the fact that all the jabs currently administered in the US are produced or tested using cell lines from elective abortions. You have probably already considered this, but I just thought I would throw it out there for your consideration.
Best wishes in your future endeavors, whether in the formerly Golden State or elsewhere. I don’t always agree with your takes, but they are always worth reading.
Looks like your move out of CA is looming large - sometimes the best push for change is the one you did not think you need. Best wishes for whatever comes - and rooting for you as I myself for me and mine are a no go on the unvax - its a line we have no intention of crossing
Sorry to hear. Many people will be facing similar options. Do not bend. Perhaps its for the better. Chalk it up to fate, divine plan, whatever floats it for you. Your skills and talents will be needed, quite so in the future. Give them to those that support you. Vote with your feet. I'm very happy in EastTN.
Are you leaving because they're insisting on the "non-vax", or the weekly tests?
Reason I ask is because I get the nose swab every 28 days. It warn the paramedic not to go all "roto-rotor" or I'll sneeze on him/her. The usually just swab no deeper than a couple of inches.
@T, 1) It's brainz deep, every time, both snotstrils. 2) It's twice a week, every week, not "once a month" 3) After 9/30, anyone who still hasn't been vaxxed, unless granted an exemption by Their Gracious Majesties, is suspended, without pay. 4) After 30 days' suspension, you can be terminated at will for "abandoning your position". 5) It's the same statewide. 6) Possibly even in adjoining states.
So, given that reality, what's your position on ass-rape, at gunpoint? How far in during that process does the tip get to go, before you'd feel justified in going all jihad on every motherfucker you could before they took you out? Asking for a few hundred thousand colleagues.
What about next month, when they won't let you enter a bank, or the supermarket, without the Vaxx Card Of The Beast?
Should we all quietly starve to death, or once again, is it past time to start lopping heads?
I'll wait over here while you work that one out...
Sincerely sorry to hear it. We may be splitting into Kurt Schlichter's prophecy sooner than imagined. I hope not - I have family along the Lake Erie Shore. Maybe if it gets unpleasant enough for the Unthinking Left, they will either wise up or leave.

Dude, I'm not the opposition.
I'm not wild about a swab test either, but it's required to board the helo to go to work. And infinitely preferable to the jab.
Speaking of the jab, my sister who does some contract work at the local health clinic reports overhearing numerous, ummmmm.... minority voters...discussing getting their false COVID cards.
Whether or not those cards will stand scrutiny by the TSA before boarding a flight is open to question, but the demographic mentioned aren't prone to air travel anyway. However, the cards should work for most of their other activities locally such as shopping. I doubt the local supermarket will have real-time access to the vaxx data bank, assuming there is one.
As for cards that will stand up to scrutiny, they do exist.
But....remember the first rule of "patriot club".......

Start welding together a fleet of killdozers.

Said a prayer and wishing you good luck Aesop.

"Nursing shortage? Hold my beer, and watch this!"
ReplyDeleteFun times. For certain values of "fun".

I am disheartened by things like this. Regular prayers for humanity which includes you and just waiting over here also.
