Sunday Music: One Piece At A Time

One of my favorites from one-of-a-kind American original and lifelong legend Johnny Cash, about a one-of-a-kind Cadillac. Think of it as a great lesson on how you can get what you want, if you're willing to do it step by step instead of trying to get it all at once. (Especially germane this month if you live in Virginia.)

If I ever hit the powerball, parting one of these out and building this is on the bucket list.

  1. Kinda like the way I built my AR 2 years ago, 1 piece at a time, as money permitted. Came up with a game plan, developed my grocery list based in extensive research, when all things necessary were gathered assembly proceeded. Turned out way better than I hoped for. Have already started gathering parts for AR number 2, this time in .308 with a 28" barrel.

  2. Ma Wilder to young me: Listen to this. You'll like it.
Me: (after reluctantly listening, thinking) Ma *does* understand me.

  4. Cashier: do you want cash back?

Me: Yeah, I mean who wouldn't? There's Ring of Fire, I Walk the Line. Let's not forget A Boy named Sue.

  5. Off Topic message: This is a fairly long article discussing US and Europe possible civil wars on this Canadian site along with comments. Thought some readers might be interested in reading and/or post informative comments especially from Aesop. I apologize if I'm out of bounds here.

  9. Isn't this song also about how styles and trends change so radically from one decade to the next that attempting to consolidate and conflate any two or more from varying time periods is symmetrically impractical and even, in some cases, impossible?

...also, to glorify any kind of employee theft ....
