h/t Daily Timewaster
The future is always a foreign country, and nobody so far has come back to tell us what it looks like in any great detail.
Anything may happen, but as far as the choice lies in my hands, I'm doing my level best to go out in one of two ways:
I'm either going to die of old age, in a brass bed, surrounded by the living remnants of my tribe;
Or in a bed of hot brass, of old ideals, surrounded by the former members of someone else's.
I'm getting less picky about which, with each passing day.
We don't get to pick the date or time when an ERPO stack breaks and rakes our windows, crashes through our entry doors.
ReplyDeleteThe Left will cull not exterminate in the beginning.
So you really are left with only one of those two scenarios.
From now on Death will come for us anytime, anyplace.
Reduce the number of minutes in any 24 hour period you are vulnerable.
God be with you.
That last bit would be a fast selling t-shirt
ReplyDeleteThat sir, is one of the best posts that I have read this year. Seems fitting to come on the last day. I myself have pretty much had my fill of the bullshit. A happy new year to you and yours and thanks.
ReplyDeleteAesop, yippa ka yi ya mo fo's! My sentiments exactly! Die older but humping in bed or slinging lead downrange where I can take out some of those mo fos...
ReplyDeleteGot nuthin' to lose but a life for the kids, bring it.
ReplyDeleteReminds of something Geek with a .45 posted on his old blog. IIRC it was the result of a visit to an museum about the horrors of an Eastern European security service back in the Cold War days.
ReplyDeleteA Rifleman’s Prayer
Oh Lord, I would live my life in freedom, peace and happiness, enjoying the simple pleasures of hearth and home. I would die an old, old man in my own bed, preferably of sexual overexertion.
But if that is not to be, Lord, if monsters such as this should find their way to my little corner of the world on my watch, then help me to sweep those bastards from the ramparts, because doing that is good, and right, and just.
And if in this I should fall, let me be found atop a pile of brass, behind the wall I made of their corpses.
Reminds me of another saying I’ve seen: I came into this world kicking, crying, and covered in someone else’s blood. I have no problem with going out the same way.
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the less of a deterrent the death penalty is.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless ya Aesop.

When Linda and I vacated California, which for me meant a return to my native state of South Carolina; I chose (with Linda's approval of course) a location that was mostly difficult to access for the untermensch hordes. CA, over on WRSA, has visited. I laughingly call it "The Bunker" though it's anything but that. The good is that the road access is relatively easy to cut off, there are no negroes and no Jews up here, and relatively good neighbors. All own guns, most are handy with construction tools, most have multiple vehicles and tight family ties.
ReplyDeleteNo one, in my estimation, lives far enough away from the untermensch to not be challenged for possession of your "stuff", particularly if those coming are government agents. That's why we must identify who might come and then find out where they live.
Finally, yes, I identify with Aesop's exasperation with the communists in the US and am developing a short fuse mentality.
And, planning accordingly.
The present conditions remind me often of a quote from The Lord of the Rings...
ReplyDeleteFrodo: I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened.
Gandalf: So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.
Written by JRR Tolkien who served in the trenches of WW 1 and whose service there served as the inspiration of said literature.
CW Buff out...
Aesop,
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Not really worried about how I die, gonna happen one way or the other, I just enjoy whatever time one may have left with the people I love.
