It's Woodpile Report Day!
We consider it quite the compliment when something we scribble here is featured in the always excellent Woodpile Report. When it's a double-feature in the same issue, and right on top above the fold, we simply don't know what more to say.
At any rate, if you aren't reading it every issue, correct that deficiency immediately. Skip past our part, especially if you read it already, and get to the rest of the issue. Think of it as Drudge for the brighter than average lot.
And the poster upon which we performed surgery, above, is featured in its original James Montgomery Flagg glory at his site, so this version is our way of taking some of the artwork Ol' Remus posts, and doing something presently useful with it, lovingly updated, by way of saying thanks for the mention.
As a matter of fact, we're kind of wishful we had a poster-sized version handy.
Reading The Woodpile Report is the high point of my week.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on being "Mentioned In Dispatches". Remus is a treasure! Woodpile Day is the highlight of the workweek; though I must compliment you on your latest efforts as well. I came over to look at the rape -rate stats as I'm scheduled for one of my annual correctness training sessions tomorrow and want the facts at hand.
ReplyDelete"Buy more bullets" is good advice, though one must purchase corresponding amounts of powder and a multiplicity of primers

@BoatGuy
ReplyDeleteI can only work with what I've got.
"Bullets" was easy-peasey, and besides, for the 98% that don't know the difference, bullets = rounds, right?
Yeah bit o hair-splitting there. I've got reloading on my mind as hunting season approaches.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the Mil Rape Stat comparison. I have a feeling it's gonna come in handy before i get kicked out of class.

Ole Remus makes for a long day of reading on Tuesdays. With Aesop and a few others that are mandatory reading daily but I love it. Thank you all for the wisdom and courage to see all the difference.
ReplyDeleteApparently Russian ammo might be subject to sanctions come November per SGAmmo's today's email.
ReplyDeleteSo load up on your steel case and bi-metal communist calibers if needed.
