I've even seen the same old whiney Ann Coulter tweet a time or three, stating "0 miles built".
You can believe Ann, or your lying eyes:
That's from two different places, in July and August this year.
Now, fair is fair:
This is not the "Big Beautiful Wall Of Trump", prototypes of which you've seen on the news.
But what it is, I have some wee first-hand experience with.
It goes 20' up, and 10' down, set in concrete, the 4"x4" steel pipes are welded together, reinforced internally with rebar, then filled with cement, and you can't burrow under it, cut or crash through it, nor even scale it in anything like a timely manner. Plus, you'll note, unlike the raggedy steel PSP planking, you can't just vault over it, and our Border Patrol guys can see through it, so Pedro can't spend all day in the shade taking his time digging a hole just beneath the edge on the Mexican side, unseen, and then scoot past once there's a shift change.
You can tunnel under it: if you go down 20' or so, and have unlimited time and resources.
But if that's the case, you could just buy an airplane and fly over it.
What you can't do is rush it, scale it, hop over it (like those WWII tank traps being replaced in the lower video, which only stop vehicles, not people), and you can't build a half-assed ramp and drive a vehicle loaded with dope, or 50 pollos, and just go up and over and on to L.A. or Phoenix.
Short of the sorely missed minefield, alligator moat, and machinegun towers, it's about as good as it's going to get, and it cuts down on all types of attempts by about 99.9999%, in actual practice.
And it's going up, and has been, by the mile, every day.
Hey, funny thing... ABCNNBCBS doesn't seem to want to talk much about that, do they?
How...curious.
So to those who think nothing's happening, or flying their Never-Trump Tard Flag proudly, you might want to get up to speed, and maybe even STFU.
By dint of non-stop videos on Lou Dobbs for two years, we (as in I and friends, personally) pissed off Dubbya so harshly in 2005 that 15 miles of this fencing exactly like what you see in those two videos went up in the area of the CA border that I was helping secure. (Just a couple of miles from where cartel smugglers killed a Border Patrol Agent before the new fence went in, btw).
Traffic went from 50k-100K crossings/yr there to nada, overnight. We've found a few blood trails where folks broke legs and crawled into the bushes trying to hide after the 20+' leap. We've found zero holes under, or through. And we haven't had a ranch fence cut in 13 years, since it went up, in an area where we were bagging 100 crossers per night in 2004, and running no-shit go-to-war combat patrols at least 100 days/year, not least of which was because of that BP shooting.
The cartels weren't playing, and neither were we.
But what we needed multiple guys to do around the clock, the wall does with one agent on a high point every 3-5 miles.
The illegals and cartels can't beat it, and they stopped trying.
And now it's growing every day, from Tijuana to Brownsville.
So maybe ease up on thinking that nothing's happening.
It is happening, and secure fencing is going up at multiple locations, and it scares the hell out of the cartels, the would-be illegal aliens, and the folks up here in both parties who want open borders, because you can't defeat that fencing with anything less than tanks and dynamite.
Just thought you oughta know.
I can envision hundreds of illegals lighting up their burrito farts and rocketing over the wall. Look to the skies!
ReplyDeleteWhy the hell is TRUMP not posting these videos on his Twitter page? I think that might give him a 1% bump in support on it's own. And I'm sure the Twitter fuckers censoring would love that.
ReplyDeleteIs there an election?
DeleteNo there is not
Expect to see the Dems say "trump did nothing" and trump pull out several thousand miles of wall, when it is advantageous for him to do so.
Trump is playing the long game with few allies - demorats, most repubcuks and the deep state are against him. What he is doing is truly incredible when you recognize how big the challenges are. If there is a proper wall/fence going up, at a reasonable rate, why brag. Like the man said, first plug the holes, then bail the boat. Get ready to bail, and that means calling ICE on every business employing illegals and shaming the owners.
ReplyDeletePut AC-130's on station over the border. They see this vehicle approaching put a 105 round into it. that will send a message. President trump needs to declare an National Security emergency on the Southern Border. This is part of voiding Posse Comitatus Act. Then put 100,00 Troops on the border. Both National Guard and Regulars. The infantry patrols the rural areas. this frees up the Border patrol and ICE to work in the urban areas. Build the walls and outer wall 30+ feet tall and an inner one of similar height. with a 50-100 foot space in between put sand between the walls that way if somebody does manage to get across you know where and by raking the sand daily you know when. If you are an employer that has hired illegal aliens. The Business owner faces 10 years in prison for each illegal alien hired. That would send a message.
ReplyDeleteWe don't need a wall.
ReplyDeleteWe need 2 fences, 200 yds apart, with mines.
Add video surveillance.
Anyone seen between the fences gets eliminated.
Leave the bodies to rot.
Problem solved.

You want a Soviet-style iron curtain so bad. Then you'll have to do international commerce in vodka, because Kerry will get his 1990's green-currency-outside/red-currency-inside inconvertible dollar-becomes-Ruble policy.
ReplyDeleteStop paying tax dollars out to people who didn't pay taxes in and the right outcome happens. But liberty is the one thing you don't want.
Kerry? The guy who has no say in anything, and is under investigation for violating the Logan Act?
ReplyDeleteDear Anonymous Troll,
Yeah, right.
Tell ya what, you dismantle the welfare state bottom to top, then take a number at the ER, and let us know how your plan works out.
Until then, a wall will work just fine.
Of course, I'm sure you don't lock your doors, or even have doors, because "liberty".
Thanks for playing, and we have some lovely parting gifts for you.
Here's a perfectly good plan to dismantle the welfare state bottom to top: watch ever-more tax money get paid to illegal immigrants until government bleeds out, and government's credit rating is ruined in the eyes of bond purchasers. Seeing that, if you want to vote to stop paying money to people who never put money in, that also works. You could do that today with your majority of votes. You don't have to first change the behavior of minorities because they're all a...minority.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I'm sure you don't lock your doors, or even have doors, because "liberty".
A country is not a large house with more residents. An ethnic group is not a large family with more cousins. Those pairs of things are not equivalent.
The Ponzi scheme of government is about to come to that end without doing anything.
ReplyDelete"A country is not a large house with more residents. An ethnic group is not a large family with more cousins. Those pairs of things are not equivalent."
No, but a door is a door, a wall is a wall, a lock is a lock, and a hypocrite is a hypocrite.
If you lock your door, but wouldn't lock your borders, and you have a door, but would leave the border open, you're quite manifestly a hypocrite, and simply virtue-signaling with other people's lives and possessions, on the level of someone who bravely "volunteers" to have an illegal camp in his neighbors' houses, yards, and wallets.
That sort of double-talking bullshit will not ever fly.
A country's land area is not owned collectively in common by its residents, that idea is communism. Nor do jobs belong to employees, that idea is also communism. Rejecting communism and embracing free enterprise and private property is not hypocritical. My neighbors should lock their doors and defend their houses, too.
ReplyDeleteWhen an illegal alien doesn't steal or trespass and does a job cheaper than a native, how is that immoral?
So much fallacy, so little time...
ReplyDeleteA country's land area is not owned collectively in common by its residents, that idea is communism.
Wrong. The country is owned by the country, that's simple nationalism. In a monarchy, by the king; in this country's case, by "the people", collectively. And the people, through elected representation, have established rules for entry, failure to follow which is a federal crime.
That's a democratic republic, the literal pinnacle of government to this point in human history, by every standard of measurement.
Nor do jobs belong to employees, that idea is also communism.
Straw man argument; no one said that.
Rejecting communism and embracing free enterprise and private property is not hypocritical.
Straw man; you're not rejecting communism, you're rejecting the rule of law.
My neighbors should lock their doors and defend their houses, too.
Under what theory of government should they do that?
When an illegal alien doesn't steal or trespass and does a job cheaper than a native, how is that immoral?
An illegal alien is stealing, every time he gets paid without paying the income tax that citizens must, every time he applies for benefits that only accrue to legal residents, every time he gets a job by dint of low-balling the minimum wage established for legal residents.
And an illegal alien is trespassing every second he's in this country illegally, hence the term "illegal alien".
In short, just about nothing you wrote there is remotely correct, and until you answer the question I posed, even your theories about property are suspect.
Oh, that's just garden-variety communism. That it is dressed up with American political branding words rather than Chinese, Russian, German, Italian, etc. makes no difference at all. Those words could have been spoken by WWII enemy politicians about their countries, and meant just as you meant them, and similarly been true. Read the Communist Manifesto from 1850 and see how much of the checklist America has implemented. The reason the People's Republic of China and the German Democratic Republic had those names is because they are accurate, they actually were democratic republics. Hitler was elected in a constitutional system modeled after the USA's. Google "myth of the rule of law" and read the law professor's paper that comes up as the first hit. Goodness, ignorance of libertarianism is not a defense.
ReplyDeleteAfter the Ponzi scheme of government collapses there's going to be no national borders; no 50-state-sized or county-sized or city-sized borders because those are Ponzis too. There will only be, because logistics says there can only be, defended area units of a size which is financially sound. This is at most the size of a clan, because groups exceeding Dunbar's number don't have enough defense against lazy members voting themselves other people's wealth.
Think now about what personal foreign policy you want in that environment.
Unfortunately, the US republic was founded and guiding principles established half a century before Marx was even born, so you've literally put the cart before the horse, and you don't get to call what we have "communism", when in fact the terminology was appropriated the other way around, although with no intention of fulfilling its precepts on communism's part, and the nations mentioned are democratic socialist republics, which totally reject the concept of private property, which is what makes the American (and similar) republics prosper, and makes communism/socialism ( distinction without a difference) fail, every time they're tried it. So America isn't "garden variety communism" in any sense.
ReplyDeleteSo that's a complete linguistic, historical, economic, and comparative government failure of analysis. Just spitballing, but I'm guessing to get so much so wrong a public school education had to be involved at some point...?
What happens if nation-states fail is chaos, followed by dictatorship. Going back to every one for which historical record exists over the last 6000 years.
There will be no "foreign" policy as such, there will simply be a Hobbesian state of nature, and then despotism of the worst stripe. Look at the former Yugoslavia , Lebanon, most of Africa, and much of Central and South America, most days.
There won't be little mini-tribal "states" and there will be no "financial" soundness involved, because there won't be anything like a common currency. Just barter and a very limited use of PMs, in subsistence economies. Until someone starts snowballing up an army, and establishes another military junta, like most of the world, throughout most of history, including now.
Looking at that environment in real time, it's obvious that the best of them on its best day is far, far worse than the US is, even in the worst of its current decline.
Don't get distracted by the cosmetics. The essence of communism is not the label-word "communism" or that paper Marx etc. wrote in 1850. The essence of communism is a particular arrangement/structure/distribution of policy-creation and enforcing military elements among the population. The political science google term is "power elite analysis", and oddly enough liberals do it best.
ReplyDeleteCommunism has been around since ancient Egypt built the pyramids, which were tax-funded waste to destroy middle class wealth. This kept the middle class from becoming wealthy enough to be self-sufficient enough to stop thinking they needed a pharaoh to organize their lives. The Big Dig in Boston is a modern instance of pyramid building. The travel improvements from that new road arrangement are small.
The American founding political structure was a copy of the British political structure, with title names changed such as "minister" becoming "secretary". At that time the British king job was stronger and the American president job was weaker, but that has since swapped.
there will simply be a Hobbesian state of nature, and then despotism of the worst stripe
With logistics for that totalitarian army of the despotism funded how, given no unsound common fiat currency to facilitate tax collection and production of wealth reduced to subsistence levels? Strong armies come only from strong economies, which only come from heavy industry which can manufacture war machines. This is a science fiction world-building error just like how the Mad Max movies never showed anything green on the horizon. What did those people eat if there were no farms? The number of salvageable cans of beans on store shelves in a just-in-time-delivery world is tiny.
Look at the former Yugoslavia , Lebanon, most of Africa, and much of Central and South America, most days.
Not relevant comparison standards for first world populations. The French revolution, Spanish inquisition, current leadership of European countries importing too many third-world single male migrants of military age; that is relevant.
1) Communism is quite simply the antithesis of private property, the rest is window dressing.
ReplyDeleteAnd no system can have both elements in it.
If you have communism, you have no private property; if you have private property, you have no communism.
So while you may point to communistic elements prior to Marx, you don't have communism.
2) Revisionism is the last refuge of a scoundrel; your attempt to portray Egyptian monarchy as communism is sophomoric, simplistic, and historical nonsense.
3) The British political structure was similarly a monarchy, and as such was completely undone. Elements of local common law and jurisprudence, largely changes instituted subsequent to Magna Carta, and which accorded with the new reality were kept, but there was no monarch, hence no monarchy, nor anything like, then, now, or at any time in between.
4) Dictatorships arise by force of arms, and are funded as they always are, by compulsion of the many against the few, and the strong against the weak. The individual becomes a supply point, not a force to be reckoned with. There will be no subsistence agriculture, there will be wholesale looting of sustenance, and then you'll either get more productive, or die, and if the former, be allowed to keep just enough to ensure you're there next year at the harvest. If not, you'll be enslaved and worked for corn cob and pumpkin rind soup, and your lands given to those who return a better amount. Just as always. Alexander, Caesar, and Napoleon all existed just fine in time out of mind, and you can't gainsay their historical reality be recourse to a Hollywood straw man.
5) There is no "first world"; there is simply what was, what is, and what will be.
Beirut was the Paris of the Middle East, right up until it exploded. Yugoslavia was at least a second-world nation until the same fate befell them. In neither case did it have anything to do with revolutions, inquisitions, or migratory demographics.
So in five brief paragraphs, you've demonstrated misunderstanding or basic ignorance of Karl Marx; John Locke; William Hobbes; communism; political essentials; monarchy; Egyptian history, religion, and sociology; feudalism; republican government; economics; finance and economics; ancient history; and modern history.
In other words, most of what formerly passed for the fundamental social studies curriculum in American education from grades 7-12, inclusive. That's quite an achievement.
In other words, most of what formerly passed for the fundamental social studies curriculum in American education from grades 7-12, inclusive.
ReplyDeleteI agree that's a usefully accurate list of what government employees compulsorily exposed you to, six hours a day for twelve of your formative childhood years. You were taught to admire American political branding, not to discern any difference in the underlying power structure between social classes. If you have taxation you don't have private property. If you have conscription you are chattel slaves. Washington's crushing of the Whiskey Rebellion proved the founders believed 'taxation without representation is fine if we do it'. The founders owned slaves, and Jefferson repeatedly raped them. Government claims it got legitimacy from nearly universal consent, but the white male property owners who could vote their consent were mainly the class who was likely to receive government contracts. That's a circular argument. What the new constitution actually did was reduce the whites to debt slaves. The American founding lawyers made themselves a new aristocracy, and took the property deed to the peasants' tax payments by conquest from the British. They succeeded because the Atlantic ocean was too expensive to cross with armies.
Communism is what gorillas and chimpanzees do. Zoologists like Desmond Morris who watched monkeys pointed out that the political behaviors of humans and great apes are quite similar. Chimps make war, too:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gombe_Chimpanzee_War
Humans do communism because they genetically inherited the brain instinctual firmware that motivates them to do it. In chimpanzee troops, the power of the alpha male is limited by the small troop size, which limits the count of individuals the alpha can tax to overpower minorities. In human countries, the million times larger troop size multiplies the power of the alpha, and you get genocide of same-group in addition to merely war.
I agree that's a usefully accurate list of what government employees compulsorily exposed you to, six hours a day for twelve of your formative childhood years.
ReplyDeleteThe fundamental root of your error is that you make wild assumptions from facts not in evidence.
(Also, you haven't addressed the multitudinous fundamental flaws in your thesis by the simple act of dismissing them with a wave of the hand. So the whole pretty butterfly still ends up smashed against the brick wall of historical fact. Nice try.)
You then compound it by attempting to revise history in the way that suits you, and contrary to all available evidence.
You're speaking fluent rainbow-hued gobbledygook, pooped out by unicorns, and powered by happygas.
And when I listen to zoologist' opinions on politics, I'll listen to political scientists' ramblings on primate biology.
Expertise in one area cannot be bootstrapped into expertise in other areas.
A master plumber is still only a plumber.
Chimpanzees merely act like chimpanzees.
Thus the most you can say of humans is that certain of them are no brighter than the mentally inferior primates.
Which is about the closest thing to correct as anything you've attempted.
What you can't do is cast the entire sweep of human history into some nonsensical all government=communism rant.
That's sheer lunacy, and rapes language itself of any meaning.
We don't just put words in the dictionary in different places because of the alphabet. The phonemes have actual content, and one is not functionally the same as every other one merely because that would suit your wishes.
So we're back to Humpty Dumptyism in the service of nonsense.
