When I originally got licensed as a health insurance agent, I could not afford to take the three day course for several hundreds of dollars. So I bought the book for $50, studied it forward and backwards, took the exam for $35, and passed. Several years later when I decided to add a life insurance license, I splurged and took the two day course, then took the exam and passed.

Nowadays, I am required to have 45 hours of 'continuing education' courses when I renew my license every three years. In addition, I am required to take Medicare's recertification course EVERY year, which uses up 2-3 days. On top of that, I am required to complete numerous certification classes for each product of each Medicare insurance carrier I represent.....every year.

Each year I spend many more hours and days to stay certified than what it ever took to get licensed in the first place.George Truehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17352709031834067303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-714028479313834812.post-71450906517757064602019-09-10T16:20:29.693-07:002019-09-10T16:20:29.693-07:00I have now spent more time recertifying what I kno...I have now spent more time recertifying what I know than the total time I originally spent in nursing school.Aesophttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07834464741531503378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-714028479313834812.post-20059271697267325132019-09-10T15:54:04.499-07:002019-09-10T15:54:04.499-07:00recert's are a BEOTCH!!

THAT was fun.

( JD (Dr Polk) hung up his turn out gear when he came to our little hospital... said intern was last seen at Johnson Space Center as Chief of Medical OPs, I mean after he ran a medical college he went BACK to Johnson)

Keep pluggin, bro. this can only last so long before they drag you out kicking n screaming and toss you back into the deep end of the pool.Night driverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14034183882627686763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-714028479313834812.post-81058083251471004202019-09-10T15:45:23.857-07:002019-09-10T15:45:23.857-07:00A good short read along those lines.
